  1. Some useful information from GM TechLink regarding the GMC MultiPro Tailgate. Remember, Do not lower the inner gate with the primary gate open while a receiver hitch is present or Trucks Equipped with a Hitch Ball Do not lower the inner gate with the primary gate open (easy access or step positions) if a hitch ball or trailer is attached. This may damage the tailgate due to the amount of clearance between the hitch receiver and the lowered inner gate. (Fig. 26) Fig. 26 Tailgate Operation When the BCM receives a release command to release the primary tailgat
  2. Alright... let me take a deep breath... I just bought a 2019 Chevy Silverado Custom Trail Boss. I am having an issue with my 2019 Chevy MyLink infotainment system and its integration with my Note 9 since the Android Pie update. The issue: When I receive a phone call through Bluetooth OR Android auto, I am able to answer the phone call but... The ringer will NOT stop ringing on my infotainment system. The only way I can talk to the person on the other line is by picking up my phone and disabling it from the infotainment system (this did not happen at all on the previous software
  3. Zane Merva Executive Editor, GM-Trucks.com 7/31/18 We've certainly seen a lot of photos of the all new 2019 Silverado and Sierra. Photos of the interior and photos of the trim packages. Photos on-road and photos off-road. But what we have not seen yet is how the 2019 Silverado and Sierra's new T1XX platform looks mechanically under the surface. Until today. GM-Trucks.com has obtained exclusive copies of parts diagrams for the next generation Silverado. From these drawings we can gleam just a little bit more about how the next generation trucks are different f
  4. Greetings ALL, So I wanted to try and help some of those that may be on the fence of looking at the new Silverado. I have been into cars for as long as I can remember and actually work in the automotive supplier business. I have been involved with the engineering of some of the internal components on this truck. I wanted to give an honest review from an average guy that uses his vehicles for all kinds of uses... As I said in the title here are some of my love and hate items for this truck after 5000 miles of driving. (some highway, some back roads, and some off road) L
  5. Zane Merva Executive Editor, GM-Trucks.com 4/22/2018 Anyone who is planning out how they might want to order their next generation Silverado can offically start rejoicing. A lot of new information just dropped. Chevrolet just updated it's ordering information for the 2019 Silverado and we now know what colors it will be offered in, among other things. Didn't see the dates your dealer can start ordering? We've got em! Here's the official names of the eleven colors you'll be able to paint your 2019 Silverado: Red Hot Havana Brown
  6. Thinking about adding 2 or 3 small leds in the ram air hood scoop. Guy on another forum did it on a Silverado but this is the only one I have seen. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.dieselplace.com/forum/76-speciality-forums/81-electrical/951082-2017-hood-scoop-lights.html%3famp=1 May be too many since I added running board lights though...
  7. Thom Cannell Contributor, GM-Trucks.com January 23rd, 2019 There were good, and less-good things about the 2019 North American International Auto Show. It was smaller than the last few years as, generally, European and premium luxury manufacturers made other marketing decisions. This, of course, left open space which Cadillac, Chevrolet and GMC, as well as Ford and FCA used to their advantage. Chevrolet, in particular, had an enormous family-friendly display of trucks. Oh, and some cars. Cadillac had its first bi-level display, with the upstairs reserved for dealer meetin
  8. Hey everyone, I'm an engineer at Pacbrake and we are currently developing an air bag suspension kit for the new 2019 Silverado/Sierra (previous air spring kits). While I have CAD models from the manufacturer, nothing replaces working with the physical truck. We are looking for someone who would be willing to have a prototype air spring kit installed on their truck (we would need the truck for about a day in our shop), in return we offer a new air spring kit (installed) once the product is ready and/or cash compensation. If you're located in the Lower Mainland area of B.
  9. Found a YouTube video of a guy involved in an accident in the new Silverado and walked away without a scratch. Looks like the engineers did something right!

  11. Just released this morning on the Chevy site. I personally think its a great commercial to showcase the different trims on the new Silverado.
  12. I am wanting to trade in my 14 silverado 1500 for something thats rated to pull more weight. I notice on Chevrolet's website that the commercial silverado 1500 w/ 3.73 rear axle ratio has a 15000/16700lbs w max trailering package rating. Every dealership I've called doesn't know what I am talking about so can someone verify for me that this configuration of the Silverado exists?!
  13. Zane Merva Executive Editor, GM-Trucks.com 10/3/18 Those wishing for some guidance on how the all new 3.0L Duramax Diesel will rate just had that wish come true. The Fast Lane Truck got the scoop from someone with access to General Motor's Canadian Dealer Portal. Promotional material that included specs for the new 3.0L were photographed and emailed to the website yesterday. That means someone with dealer access facilitated the leak. The not quite yet official figures rate the light-duty diesel engine at 282 horsepower and 450 lb-ft of torque. The material a

  15. Thom Cannell Contributing Writer, GM-Trucks.com 9/18/18 A vehicle is, or should be, a harmony of family value, social responsibility and transportation goodness. XT4, Cadillac’s newest and smallest SUV, earns high marks in each area. Likes Overall styling stays true to Cadillac, with signature front and rear lighting. Interior leather, woods, engineered polymers that fit together precisely. The 2.0-liter engine is a powerhouse, as well as an engineering marvel. GM’s 9-speed transmission is seamless, delivers precise gear c
  16. Came across this just now for those interested. Looks like a great system from the outside!
  17. I now have about 1 k miles on my 19 SD pickup. Some things that I’m not happy with- I know some are nit picky. I hate the auto start/stop. And I’m sick of hitting the button every time. Anyone have a work around yet? A fuse pull or something simple? If I wanted gas mileage I’d have bought something else. The radio- why is the color different for the artist and song? The station shows up white, but the artist and song color is so close to the lousy boring background color that it’s hard to see. For some reason, my iPhone 8 lowers its own volume every time I get in the truck. W
  18. I just bought my 2019 Sierra Denali with the 6.2 and the 10 speed auto ? has good power just wondering about a tune especially which should wake this bad boy up if anyone has the new Silverado/Denali let me no what y’all think ??
  19. Zane Merva Executive Editor, GM-Trucks.com 9/11/2018 The saga of our custom ordered 2019 Northsky Blue Metallic Silverado LTZ is no closer to an end but at least now we are starting to get some details as to what exactly is going down. If you're not caught up, read up on Part One and Part Two. Since our last update we've been in touch with our dealership and the Chevy communications team. Both have shed some additional light on our truck's situation. Our dealer, after checking with the Northeast Regional Sales Manager can confirm that our truck is b
  20. There will not doubt in time with the passing days, weeks, months and years ahead, be a shift in interest from this K2 generation forum over to the new 2019-20XX T1 GM Trucks section. As a newer member to this forum I am still playing catch up to all the information about my truck, our trucks..... since about April. My purchase was a CPO used truck so this is why I am late to the party! I check in here every day, multiple times a day...……. to read & learn from all of your experiences and even share some of mine. May this K2 forum continue to thrive with new & existing me
