Evening folks, The time has come to look into selling my pickup. I have copied the text from my Craigslist ad below, but some quick details are as follows: --2001 Silverado 1500 RCLB --LQ4 6.0 swap. Tuned by Justin at Blackbear. Truck originally had a 4.8; the 6.0 donor vehicle was a 2002 1500HD. --Built 4L60E (5 pinion plantearies, high energy clutches and band, TransGo 1800 converter, modified valve body, etc.). The trans shifts well and can take the 6.0 power with ease. --Tasteful upgrades to the interior, exterior, and audio areas of the pickup. Feel free to ask any questions you may have, as I'd be happy to answer them and/or provide additional pics! I can meet anywhere in the LA area. Asking $3900 OBO. Thanks, --Scott http://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst/cto/5387577421.html 2001 Chevy Silverado for sale. I have owned this pickup for over 5 years, but recently bought a new vehicle and can't justify keeping this one. Pickup runs excellent and has no mechanical problems. It's ready for whatever you can throw at it! Clean Kansas title in hand. Pickup has never been titled outside of Kansas and Oklahoma. Smog at buyer's responsibility. Engine is not modified and catalysts function as designed, so smog shouldn't be a problem. Details are as follows: Engine -- 2002 LQ4 6.0 with approximately 135k miles. Runs great with no check engine light. Tuned by Justin of Blackbear Performance. Recent complete reseal, water pump, and knock sensors (all preventative maintenance). Trans -- Built 4L60E with approximately 25k miles. Auxiliary trans cooler. Shifts positively and has no problem handling the 6.0. Build details available upon request. Exterior -- 18" Z71 wheels from 2013 Silverado. Professionally tinted tail lights. Chrome grille and bumpers. OEM receiver hitch with 7 pin trailer wiring. Interior -- 10 way power, leather buckets and center console from Avalanche LT. Instrument cluster with trans temp gauge from Cadillac Escalade. Manual windows, locks, and mirrors. Tilt wheel, cruise control, and excellent A/C. Audio -- Pioneer head unit with Bluetooth hands free calling, Bluetooth music streaming, Aux input, USB input, MP3 CD, etc. Alpine Type S speakers throughout.

Hey y'all, I'm driving a 07 GMC 2500HD 6.0 and I want to put a muffler on it just for some good sound and I'm curious to see what you guys are running. I've don't know much in the way of this stuff so whether to buy a flowmaster, magnaflow or a large glasspack is beyond me. I don't mind it being loud but I don't want too loud if that makes sense.

My truck has had a cranking issue for the past 5 year. I wouldn't think it's the fuel pump because I wouldn't think it would last that long. I just got the engine service and all new gaskets on it. I just had a brand new fly wheel and timing chain put on as of 6/28/15. I'm very confused. Please help. By the way. When I say cranking issue I have to turn the key 3 to 4 times before it will actually crank.

i've had my 04 silverado 2500 with the 6.0 for a few years and i just hate the stock exhaust, and i'm tied for my options for a nice aggressive sounding system i would prefer dual outlet and all i've found are bolt on generic cat back kits and i just want something different any recommendations? i'm debating just doing a simple glass pack set up like my 03 4.3 i have but i dont know how it will turn out and i don't really want to waste cash. if any one has any good ideas or has done similar set ups some feed back would be greatly appreciated.

I have a 6.0l truck with a bigger cam, stiffer springs, 3 angle valve job, heads milled, long tube headers, cold air intake, throttle body spacer, and cat deletes has magnaflow muffler and Gibson pipes 4.5in tip Who to have tune the truck? I currently have a diablo tuner but want a custom one. THINGS I WANT OUT OF TUNE * drive by wire system deactivated (no more holding my rpm when trying to do burnouts or matting it right off the line) * torque management turned off Rear 02s turned off so I don't have to worry abt a light coming on. * all my mods working together * speedo changed for 35in tires Let me know if you know a tuner who can do that. I want everything with a * especially the drive by wire turned off!? I have cash in hand. I want this truck to stomp my friend with a 5.3 on 33s with a cold air and a tune. Thanks.

I have been bouncing around the idea to jump from my trusted bow tie '02 Chevy 2500HD extra cab and going to a '06 3500 MegaCab... I know, what am I thinking. I won't bother posting on the diesel specific sites, they are going to say diesel or die. I won't post on the Dodge sites, they are going to say Dodge or die...I need some common ground and maybe someone has some ideas I haven't yet thought of. I have had my '02 for going on 7 years, just has under 280,000 kms (173k miles). Its been a good trust daily driver and tows the small holiday trailer in the summer and hauls two sleds on the deck in the winter in the mountains. Actual payload is a concern for me so keeping at least something with 2500 pounds of payload is important. Two sleds, sled deck, gear, extra fuel, people, whatever else. Summer time next holiday trailer is under 3500 pounds. Current one is small. Daily commute is under 30 mins one way. Every weekend in winter is hauling the sleds, every other week in summer is hauling bikes and trailer. So only moderate towing. I have found two trucks I am trying to flip a coin on. 09 Silverado LTZ Quad cab 6.0 2500HD and the 06 SLT Megacab 3500 with the 5.9 Auto. Both low miles, excellent shape. Prices are not to far apart. The reason to look at the 3500 Ram is the weight of the diesel megacab is quite a lot. It would be nice to have the cabin space of the megacab. For road trips having a few people and a few dogs is cramped in most of my buddies quad cabs, my extra cab is pointless. We could easily fold the seats down in the Megacab and have a nap on a long road trip, or use it to store additional gear, or just about anything really. It would also be nice to have that extra torque for all the mountain passes I drive on in the Canadian Rockies. Service costs for oil and fuel filter changes and so on is really mute for me. If I can get 8000-10000 km on an oil change with good oil in the diesel or gasser I am fine spending more for the diesel. I am fully aware of injector concerns in diesels, fuel filters, lift pumps, turbos and so on. I am not into big lifts, big tires and expensive tunes either. Classic Duramax GM/Chevs fetch big coin around here. I can get into the Dodge, or the gaser Chevy for several thousand less and lower mile LBZ's are becoming harder to find. The oil patch doesn't leave much on the table in these parts. I can get about 15.5L/100km (15.5-16 mpg) on the hiway unloaded with the gaser. I am not a heavy footed driver. That gives me barely enough range for most of our trips. I wish I could get the solid 650-700 km out of a fill. I hate running the tank low on fuel as well. Obviously loaded that number is cut in half with my gaser. I am told to expect the same unloaded numbers when hauling the diesel loaded up. That is a plus for me. Diesel and gas prices are a wash. Diesel is more expensive here in winter, cheaper than gas in the summer. What to do!? Entertain me, mock me, support me, help a guy out.

I have a nasty click in my 2008 sierra 2500, it is the GM 6 speed on a gas truck, this noise only occurs when I put the truck in drive or reverse, and its when the tension hits the driveline, no problems with drivability or clunking during acceleration/deceleration. The truck has 120,000 miles on it I did change the u joints with moog HD versions and this did not solve the problem it sounds like it is coming from the area of the transfer case but its hard to tell being as that the sound travels throughout the driveline. the truck is also throwing A code for transmission pressure sensor code any input appreciated Thanks!
