I have an AIRAID 200-985 MIT intake tube for sale that was on my 2014 Silverado 1500 5.3L for a week. I still have original box, instructions, stickers, and parts and pieces. Pretty much brand new. $100 plus shipping or best offer. Please PM to me if interested. So, why am I selling this? The CAI is just not my cup of tea...I tried the Volant unit and returned it because I didn't like the quality and it was too loud for me. Then I tried the AIRAID MIT because of other members recommendation...It is a nice quality unit and installs nicely. It is not as loud as the Volant, but it seems that all of these units have the same issue for me. There is a louder noise during acceleration than the stock air box which I am used to from other vehicles that I had them on, but there is a "growl" when mildly pressing on the gas pedal which I find annoying. So, I am back to the stock air box. BY THE WAY, I have a Banks Ram-Air that is also listed here to sell. I didn't install it, and it is another great quality product, but just decided the CAI is not my cup of tea.

I am purchasing a new K&N cold air intake kit for my truck to primarily try to improve gas mileage (extra power always a plus too). I plan to get the K&N Performance Intake kit with the polyethylene tube shown here: http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/k-n-performance-intake-kit-57-3031-1/17401676-P?searchTerm=intake K&N seems pretty reputable. I also read the polyethylene tube is better than a aluminum chrome tube since the aluminum can heat up from the heat of the engine and decrease the performance of the cool air intake. My question is do I need to buy a different air flow sensor for my new intake kit or will the computer in my truck calibrate/account for the new intake? I also plan to clean the air flow sensor with air flow sensor cleaner during the process. Thanks! Any tips on any of these topics appreciated! -

Good afternoon guys, my name is Bill and I am with Cold Air Inductions Inc., we are a cold air intake manufacturer located in Michigan. Our company is still ironing out the details regarding our vendor account here, so until that is wrapped up I just wanted to personally introduce myself to you all since I will be the guy representing our company here. My father currently works for GM, and my grandfather retired from Cadillac, so Chevy runs deep in my blood so to speak I've always been an auto enthusiast, and have always been a big "Truck Guy". I've owned probably about 10 GM Trucks over the years, from lowered to lifted, and am currently building a 91' S-10 powered by an LM7 V8 for a fun little street/strip project. My favorite GM truck to date was my 2001 Champagne colored Sierra 2500HD, I've also had an 8.1L 2500HD Silverado which was pretty sharp. Once our supporting vendor account is set-up, I look forward to becoming a trusted source for information regarding our Cold Air Intake systems, we sponsor many forums and I have a great reputation for being a very "customer service oriented" individual, which I plan on carrying over to here!
