I just purchased a Readylift sst 2” lift for my trail boss and then came across forums about the cv angle this particular kit causes. I want to know if the kit in the link below will work to drop the diff enough to correct the bad angles, or if anyone has a link to a different kit! I have a 2022 Silverado 1500 four-wheel-drive. The dealer ordered the 2 inch lift kit they offer and I’m waiting for it to come in and have it installed. But I noticed that the kit doesn’t come with upper control arms. Is that going to be a problem? (***UPDATE*** ) so I had the factory lift gm offers installed. When I picked it up, it looked great but as soon as I went to drive it off the lot. I could tell something was wrong it felt completely different. I figured it was just a break in period. But even after a day or two, I was getting crazy bad vibration at low speeds. Took it back. They ended up putting one of the U-bolts on wrong (I have pictures if wanted) they fix that and told me the vibration was gone. I get my keys go to drive away vibrations right back. I turn right back around. this time they have a mechanic ride with me. He clearly hears an feels a vibration, says somethings wrong so we turned around and he takes it back in. Three hours later they bring my truck back they had to remove the back blocks said there was no taper to them and it was messing up drive line. I got it back and the vibration is still there. (Now annoyed that only the front is lifted and still vibrating). I have them take the whole lift kit off. Put it back to stock. (Now remind you my truck has been down and I’m missing work for 5 days at this point) And after that Whole ordeal, I was done with the truck since I couldn’t have it how I wanted it and decided to trade it in and they made me a good deal on a 2023 5.3 LT.z71 I know many have gotten this lift installed said it worked out for some reason it did not for me. I’m much happier with the new truck.- 8 replies

I’m looking for the best 6 inch lift for this truck. I talked to a local suspension shop for an install and they spooked me on Rough Country - they stopped installing them due to poor quality and many after install problems. would very much appreciate any and all input - truck is a brand new build and I want to do it right.

Does anyone have experience with belltech lift kits? I've seen plenty of positive reviews from their lowering kits. They've been in the suspension industry for a while, just not so much the trail or lift side. Long travel is the end goal, but a $700 coilover kit with a 5 yr warranty vs an extended strut sounds more functional. I'm considering the adjustable 3-4" lift coilovers, part #15203. -Helper spring -60mm damper body -35mm independent valves -20mm piston rod I've got a 2020 z71 with the 3.0 Duramax for those needing an image to work with. Still exploring UCA options. 35*12.5r17 will be the tire size. Probably going to order them next month.

As the title says, post your long travel set up with the who and why! I'm tired of not being able to find long travel builds to copy off of. Custom or bolt on, doesn't matter. Post pictures of the before and after glass sides if you got them. If a thread like this already exists please share below or if you have a thread for your build. Hopefully this gets some serious attention for the full size community, the Toyotas get all the long travel attention. -
Does anyone know of a kit that will let me lift my truck WITHOUT leveling it? I mostly drive down the highway so I'm not interested in levelling the truck and sending my MPG down the gutter even worse than it already is (I average 16-17 with stock suspension, 275/55/R20 Cooper Discoverer SRX, KN washable engine air filter) but when I go hunting I will sometimes need to cross fallen trees or go over shrubbery that loves to get caught up in the undercarriage. I'm trying to leave the stock rake on the truck but gain an additional inch or two clearance. All the kits I see for lifting the truck also level it. Am I going to have to do the math myself and grab X front suspension kit and Y rear block kit so that both raise approximately the same distance? Also, if I'm able to get an extra inch of height I wonder what size tire I'd be able to fit then. I like the BFG K02s but wonder if I'd be able to squeeze the 275/65s to fit without cutting or even the 285/65s (only difference between the two is an additional 1/2 inch in diameter).

2017 GMC Sierra I want to fit 35s on my stock wheels and have the smallest lift i can do. I don’t want to do a whole lot of cutting maybe no cutting at all. What size lift or level can I do -

Hey guys! New to the forum here. Previously had a Tacoma and switched to a 1500. Wanting to do a 5” lift on my 2020 LT and thinking about doing 33.5s on 12x10s. Does anyone have any pics here I could see that are similar? Looking at 275/60/r20s thanks all!

I am wondering if I can fit 35s on a 3in body lift on a 2013 Silverado Z71 4x4. Will I need wheel spacers or offset wheels? Will stock 18in rims work or do I need aftermarket ones? Thanks

Forgive me if this question has been discussed but I could not find anything with a search. I have a 21 Trail Boss that I want to lift 4" for a total of 6" to fit 35's. I have been looking for awhile now at the available lifts specific to the Trail Boss and AT4 and have narrowed it down to two... The BDS 1805H strut spacer lift with UCA's. https://bds-suspension.com/product?kid=1805H And Rough Country 27550 with their Vertex damping adjustable coilovers. https://www.roughcountry.com/gm-suspension-lift-kit-27530c.html The cost of the kits are within a couple hundred dollars of each other. I have watched all the reviews I could find on the Vertex coilovers and they seem to be good. I like the idea of them but I understand they can't be rebuilt so if they fail out of warranty I would have to replace them. Add to that the general sentiment that Rough Country in general isn't necessarily the greatest in terms of quality makes me very uncomfortable putting the kit on my truck. BDS on the other hand has great reviews and a stellar warranty but I only get a strut spacer lift with new UCA's that retains the factory coilover with the Rancho shocks. What are your thoughts, opinions and or experiences? Your input is much appreciated! -
What's up everyone, I am new to the truck scene and in need of some help. I own a 2015 Silverado LT / RWD and have plans to make it into a somewhat of a pre runner. The question I have is, I am looking for some good suspension to be able to fit some 37" tires. I am currently running Pro Comp 8" lift kit (not too specific as truck came that way) but I am looking for something better as the ride is to stiff for my liking and also looking for something lower for that pre-runner look. Welcome to my build! Started with a 2019 Silverado 1500 LTZ 4wd 5.3L, which I bought with 9k miles on her in August of 2020. Got a crazy good deal on it, justified me driving to Georgia from Houston to pick it up. It even came with the Ranch Hand front bumper on it already, other than that she was stock. Little bit of background on my past trucks, I've been fortunate to own quite a few: 07 JK Wrangler, 08 Silverado 1500 LT Z71, 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT Z71, 2015 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT w/ 6.2L, 2016 Denali 2500 Duramax, 2017 Silverado 1500 LTZ Z71, and finally my 2019 Silverado 1500 LTZ Z71. I also have my 2015 ZL1 Camaro for a little bit of fun on the side, my wife has gone off to German side and is rocking her Porsche Cayenne. So here's the current list of mods: 4" Zone Lift kit w/ Fox rear shocks 35x11.50's Nitto Terra Grapplers on stock 20's Front and back Ranch Hand bumpers Hooker Blackheart Cat-back exhaust utilizing factory dual tips K&N Series 63 cold air intake Rough Country Automatic drop down steps Camlocker Tool box Front windows tinted to match back factory tint Front windshield tint strip Chevy All-Weather floor liners Stubby antenna Just went on a shopping spree of sorts and this is what I've got on order: Boost auto parts auto fog mod Putco Blade LED Tailgate Light Bar w/ Putco wiring harness All LED bulbs; replacing turn signals, license plate lights, and reverse lights. And the GRAND finale, King 2.5 PRS coilovers The list of things to come in the near future: High Country cluster from White Audio and Media, had their Tahoe cluster in my 2017 and it was fantastic! Waiting to order the rear King Resi PRS shocks until my checkbook bounces back a little bit. Lol Going to be putting on several LED light bars and maybe a pod or two, going to do my best to blend them into the Ranch Hands and make them as non conspicuous as possible. I'm strongly considering doing a Dyno tune w/ Kooks long tubes as well. Going to be doing ceramic tint all the way around. Limo on back windows and back glass, 15% on front windows, and 35% on the front windshield. I've got a drop in plastic bed liner that drives me crazy, so I'll more than likely go ahead and get the bed sprayed. Things I'm considering: Looking into changing up the rims and trying to clear 37's when the time comes for new tires. Blacking out the badges? Still not sold on this one... Turbo or a supercharger kit? This one would be way down the line though. Anything else that catches my attention, let me know if you can come up with anything! Here is the truck from stock:

What do u recommend? Is the tires size ok with the 2.5inch lift? Tire size 265/70R17 By the way the front lift is Motofab. Hope i can get answers.

On my 2015 Silverado Crew Cab 2WD, I currently have the RC 2.5 inch spacer leveling kit with all stock shocks. I am wanting to replace all 4 shocks with Bilstein 5100s. Does anyone have experience combining these shocks with the spacers from RC? I would also like a little more ground clearance. Nothing too crazy, just a little more aggressive look than the stock 2WD height with a leveling kit. Trying to decide if I take the spacers out and go with the RC 3.5 inch suspension lift with upper control arms, remove the spacers and go with Bilstein 5100 on the highest setting all around, or simply replace all shocks with 5100 and keep the spacers up front. Just trying to figure out what will get me the look I want and also be the most mechanically sound so I don't cause any weird issues with ball joints, etc. Any help would be awesome. Thanks!

I get it, I'm an idiot who should search the forum. As much as I accept this, I have searched the forum and I completely suck at it because I can't find what I'm looking for. Initially, all I wanted to do was just level my truck. However, after purchasing a leveling kit that gets placed on the bottom of the strut, I read a ton of reviews saying they suck because they put stress on the control arms, so I returned the kit. Since I like the look of the AT4, I figured I'd look at 2-3" suspension lift kits and discovered there are some that aren't that expensive, so now I'm pretty set on going this route. My question is-- do these lift kits also level the truck, and if not, will doing so put the same stress on the control arms as leveling it with the stock suspension? Clearly, my idiocy stretches far beyond searching ****** on this forum... I was planning to go with Bilstein shocks anyway and found this kit online. Does anyone know if this will also level my truck? I was also looking at this 3" Superlift that comes with Bilsteins, it's more expensive, but if it does more of what I'm looking for, I'm down. Call me an idiot, I'm married, so I'm used to it. Any advice would be much appreciated. Cheers! -
New to the forum and I’m looking for some help. I have a 2014 Sierra that I’m taking to get a 4” readylift and 35/12.5/22 trail grapplers installed. Im keeping my stock 22” flakes. The lift company says I will need spacers for stock wheels. But Idk what size should I run. I do not want to trim my studs!!

I've got a 2002 gmc sierra 1500 denali, i can't find a single company that makes a lift for the truck. I'd like to go any size between 3 and 6 inch but all the companies ive talked to say there lifts wont work because of the rear steer not being able to function properly. I really dont care about the rear steer i've never used it and never will use it so are there any lift kits anyone knows of that will work if i dont use rear steer? Thanks in advance!

Hi Everyone, I currently have a 4” BDS Lift without the DSC coilovers and I’m curious to find out if it’s worthwhile getting the the DSC coilovers. My shop quoted me at $1750 for coilovers and alignment to upgrade my current set up from the BDS struts to the fox coilovers. Now, my confusion is that my current setup rides quite well and I have no complaints (with BDS front struts) but when doing some basic research, it seems like people are speaking extremely highly of the coilovers for on-road and off-road performance. I am someone who spends 90% on road and as a result I haven’t felt a lack of performance from it, but I can’t help but be curious if it’s worthwhile in the long run. Just thought I’d get some opinions. Thanks in advance!

Hello all, Recently I purchased a 2020 GMC Sierra 1500 Elevation. I’ve been debating on putting a lift or leveling kit on it since I bought it. I’m looking for bulkier but also clean look. Nothing crazy. Just beefy and aggressive. I don’t plan on doing much off reading. Any advice on which kit I should buy? What brand? I also am hoping to keep my wheels as they are super sick, but would like some beefier tires any advice on those as well? Thank you!

New to the forum, first time posting. I have a 2017 1500 Silverado LT, 3-inch MotoFab leveling kit, wheels are Chevy stock CV32, 20x9, 28mm offset, 6.1 inch backspacing, have installed a 1/4 inch wheel spacer. The 1/4 inch (6.35mm) spacer was installed to stop rubbing of the stock Stamped UCA. Tires are 275/60/20. I'm what to install a new UCA that corrects the UCA ball joint angle. Problem is, ll the UCAs I've looked at require 4.5 inch backspace or less. Need to find a solution. i.e. new UCA and Spacer; 3" spinal, UCA adn spacer; lower to 2" and keep stock UCA. Any help that y'all can provided would be appreciated.

I have a serious issue going on with the lift issue I have run into with my brand new 1500. I just bought the truck and purchased the GM leveling kit and GM suspension lift that the dealer advised me on and would fit 35’s. They didn’t take into account that my truck had the max trailering suspension do none of it fit so they ordered the fabtech stealth 3inch lift kit and put it on and delivered the truck to me. I immediately noticed the lift didn’t clear the 35’s and it rubbed terrible so I sent it back to them. The lift they Put on was substantially cheaper than what I originally paid for so there is money in the deal to purchase whatever is needed so they advised I go with the basic 6inch kit from fabtech. I’m not sure that’s the best set up so I need advise. I only have till Monday morning to decide before they start putting on the 6inch lift so any advice on a different set up to get me roughly 4 to 5 inches and a better ride than the 6 inch lift please let me know! I have about $2600 to spend on the setup even if it’s keeping the stealth lift that’s on it and adding a different coil over setup. Please someone help me out. -
Hey everyone - first post here and just bought a new-to-me 2014 Silverado 1500 LTZ Z71 all stock. This is also my first truck so I'm definitely a newbie and if I'm asking some simple questions I apologize, but I couldn't find the answers I was looking for on other topics. Basically, what I'd like to do is level my pickup. I thought about doing maybe a small lift but I don't really want to fork out the money and I think the leveled Chevy looks just fine. Any recommendations for this? Seen people put on 2 or 2 1/2" level kits - difference between my wheel well heights is pretty much exactly 2 inches. The other thing that I'm having more difficulty making sense of is a wheel and tire combo. Currently, I've got P265/65/R18 on it. What I'd like to do is get a bit more rugged look while also getting more ground clearance for a bit of offroading, and hopefully not affecting fuel economy and ride quality too much, but I understand you gotta sacrifice somewhere. What I'm having trouble understanding is if I should get larger wheels or taller tires to achieve the ground clearance part. I've read that getting larger wheels can mess with your speedometer and such. Any advice on if I should stick with my 18's right now, and if I end up buying new wheels one day should I also stick with 18's then? If I went ahead and got my pickup leveled, which (or both) would help me get that better ground clearance? Increasing tires or wheels? What's the largest combo you'd recommend (with the level) that still prevents rubbing? Definitely want to get that rugged look but I haven't been able to determine which route to chase down, as the options seem limitless out there for what you can do. Could I just get bigger, more rugged, maybe wider tires to put on my stock 18's? Thanks in advance to anyone willing to give a newbie some advice.
