Debating on buying a leveling kit from Ready Lift ---> http://www.readylift.com/review/product/list/id/109/category/608/ Was wondering if any one has this already or knows much about it? Never bought anything from Ready Lift or looked into them to much. Any reviews from any one? Its going on a 2008 silverado 1500 LT 4x4 which has the 20" factory rims I want to level out the front with the rear. Front measurements are 35.8" and the rear is 38.5" Then to throw on 285/70/17s Toyo open country. Will the truck sit good an leveled now with this leveling kit from Ready Lift? Thanks!

Hey guys, newbie from northern Canada here, I just picked up a 2014 all terrain, 6.2 in iridium metallic. Loving it! I've got some questions regarding lift kit cab heights if anyone has lifted some of the 14's already. I live in a condo building and the parking garage is max clearance is 6'10"...I want to get the biggest lift possible so I was curious as to how tall one of these sits with a 4" lift and 33's...or will I be stuck going the leveling kit route? If anyone has a '14 with a 4" lift, get a tape measure and check it out for me! please. It's a beautiful truck, just can't leave well enough alone!

I have been going through all sorts of scenarios with my truck about what lift I want, what brand, large or small and I have narrowed it down to a 3" spindle lift for the truck. As for rims and tires, I already have 18" rims on the way from anthem off-road, but the tires is where I'm stuck. What size will fit best? Right now I'm looking at 285/70/18r toyo open country m/t but I don't know if that will be squeezing it too much or not. Any help???

I've been searching on here and google and cant seem to find any solid answers. Just ordered a 2014 Silverado with 18" wheels. 1.) What is the factory wheel offset? Someone posted it was +18mm for the 20 in wheels. So is it the same between the different size rims? (Also curious if GM posts these specs anywhere) 2.) Looking to put on the 2.5" RC lift and new wheels and tires. RC site says you can fit 285/70R17, 295/65R18 would be 2/5in taller and wider. So most likely no problem with rubbing? 3.) Also looking at the XD Rockstar 2 wheels. 18in they only offer 0mm offset, 20in they offer with 18mm offset. Changing to 20 in wheels is an option, but looks to be about $500 more than a set of tires and 18" wheels. So would there be no chance of making the 18in 0mm offset wheels work besides wheel spacers, which I've heard nothing but bad about. Also whats your opinion on the Rockstar 2 wheels? I know I used to see the original Rockstar wheels everywhere, but havent seen any of the Rockstar 2s yet. Or any recommendations for black wheels without any chrome? It's a black truck, and color matching the bumpers, grille, mirrors and handles as soon as I get it. Thanks guys

Just bought a 2014 sierra 4x4 and ordered the 2" kit to level it out. On rough country's website they say that this kit only allows for up to a 32" tire, and I am looking to put 33s. I am new to GM, what's the biggest tires that I can fit?

Will be buying a '06 2500HD 4x4 Diesel soon. Looking at what I want to do with it after I get it. Thinking about adding: 1. 3" lift from Skyjacker: http://skyjacker.com/product.php?ProdID=31015 2. Cutout fenders from Bushwacker: http://www.bushwacker.com/fender-flares/chevrolet-gmc-cut-out-fender-flare-front-pair-40051-02 3. Offroad bumper similar to this: http://www.roadarmor.com/products/Bumpers/2003-2007/Chevy/2500-3500/part-number-33704B Leaves me with a question I cannot find an answer to. How big of a tire can I fit under these fenders without rubbing. Is anyone running a similar setup? I like the BF Goodrich All Terrains or Mud Terrains. Also planning on putting on stacks, beefing up the Allison transmission and torque converter, opening up the intake and exhaust, and putting a tune on it. Want to take it to 1,000lb torque and 600hp. Thanks in advance, David

I currently put a 6in BDS lift on my 2003 silverado 2500hd i also put all new ball joints, tie rods, shocks, wheel bearings, and control arm bushings. well i put it all together and when putting the torsion bar keys back on it seemed way to tight. i snapped a breaker bar and bent a ball joint press. i messed around with it and then was able to get it in easier. well now i have no suspension? put your truck up on jack stands with the stands under your frame. that is what it is like. well maybe i turned the key down one to many notches...? no! if i move the key up one notch the truck sits on the floor. it also looks like the torsion bars have a bend to them? i am very confused and do not understand why this is happening i could use some help. thank you. Also i currently do not have my motor in it btw.

Purchased a skyjacker 2" leveling kit for my 14 silverado.. Long story short. I struggled with the driver side for quite sometime and finally managed to get the strut out and the spacer mounted on. I went ahead with the reassembly and started to tighten the top 3 new bolts to hold the strut in position.. I heard a slight pop noise but really didn't think anything of it.. I continued to tighten them one by one.. Then I heard it pop again.... I noticed the spacer had a gap.. It wasn't resting flush with the top of the strut. I decided to take It all apart to check... Sure enough this is what I find!!! Also.. I went to the other side and it went so smooth.. My question is I'm riding around leaning to one side lol... It rides fine & doesn't pull at all... Will I be ok with it like this for a day or to till I get my new spacer? I just didn't want to have to take it all apart again to put it back together stock..

After reading a lot of not-so-great stuff about Rough Country on here and watching the video for their 3.5 inch lift kit where they take a sawzall to the transfer case in order to install it, I wanted to see if there was something higher quality out there. Does anyone have any experience with CST? I am very interested in their 4 inch lift kit for 2014 Silverado 4X4, which isn't available yet. But, I wondered if anyone had experience with the same kit on an older model. They were recommended to me by one of the top 4X4 of offroad places in SoCal. Here is the link to the older model kit - http://cstsuspension.com/silverado-1500/60-lift-kit-2007-2013-1500-p-u-4-inch.html Any other manufacturers that I should be looking at for 3.5-4 inches? My wife claims that anything higher than 4 inches is "too hillbilly" for Southern California. Although I strongly disagree, I pick and choose my battles!

So I've been shopping around for a lift for sometime now. I have been pretty focused on the Rancho 4" lift. But I have also been stuck on the 5" rough country as well for its price. I have talked to several people who install lifts and they are mostly saying that the 5" RC is the best value. I was hoping someone one here has some pictures of their truck with a 5" RC lift installed. I have a 2012 gmc 1500 4x4 Extended cab. It would be greatly appreciated for to hear some responses about this lift.

this picture was taken in northern alberta, it made the actual 2011 GM truck calendar. you could buy it from canadian dealers...this truck has quite the story behind it. all i can say is it has more sentimental value than anything i currently own or will ever own. many many many man hours behind it, memories with a friend who is no longer with us. RIP CAINER
