  1. I have a new zone 6.5 inch suspension lift for 2014-2017 silverado and sierra 1500 4x4. the lift is new in boxes with nitrogen shocks never installed. prefer to sale but would be willing to trade for a 4.5 inch zone lift or a 4 inch bds lift.
  2. Putting a 6 inch lift and 35's on my truck. I notice it says you need the hypertech programmer to calibrate the tires for larger size. A buddy of mine Recently put at 7.5 inch kit with 325/65/20 on his truck without the programmer and every time he takes a corner, His traction control goes off and doesn't let him accelerate because it senses he's slipping. Does the programmer fix this as well? and does anyone know what size tires you can go up to without needing the programmer?

  4. Long story short I was looking for a used 2010-2012 Sierra or Silverado with the 6.2L and a few options. Ended up finding a dealership who had some hail damaged trucks with blow out prices. So after a two weeks of emails with the salesmen there I made the 900 mile drive to Nebraska from Alabama. I ended up purchasing a brand new 2014 Silverado Double Cab LTZ 4x4 from Sid Dillon Chevrolet in Blair, Nebraska on November 8th 2014. The trucks sticker price was $48,625 I walked out of the dealership paying $28,000 for a brand new heavily optioned LTZ. The only options I do not have are the sunroof, navigation, max trailer and some of the special features exclusive to the high country. Currently she is sitting at 4,573 miles not a single complaint nor do I think I ever will have one. But the time has come to make her my own! Hope you all enjoy the build thread!!! 5. I have searched but haven't been able to find a clear description of the benefits of going with coilovers vs the standard suspension lift kit. Can someone fill me in on the benefits of coilover lifts? Also, they offer the add a leaf in the rear instead of the blocks, is this worth the upgrade as well? Thanks for your time!
  6. Hey guys, First post and intro with my 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500, just purchased last November. Upgrades to date: 6" BDS Suspension lift 325x50R22 Nitto Trail Grapplers 22x9.5 Fuel Nutz D251 AMP Research Power Step Bars AirRaid MXP Series cold-air intake Diablo InTune i1000 Black door handles, mirror caps and bowties
  7. Well the time has come and I have decided to lift my truck 2014 GMC Sierra Sle z71. I am sold on the bds kits but I do not know whether to get the 6in or the 4 in kit. The tires I would like to get are 35 in toyo at2 with 20in fuel hostages. But I am also stuck on deciding whether to get 35s or 33s I really do not want to have to do any trimming. I am going to get the fox shocks in the rear with the leaf spring option as well. So the main questions I have are 1.does the lift kit void the warranty? 2.should I go with the 6in or 4in lift kit ? 3.Should I go with 33s or 35s ? 4.Will there be a major change in the accuracy of the speedometer? 5.if there is can you please tell me how to fix that? 6. Can anyone who is running these kits show me pictures? 7. How is the ride after the lift? 8.how much is the change in mph with the 6 and 4 in kits If in the end if I do go with the 6in lift I am going to get 35s regardless I personally do not like the look of having all that lift and small tires. I was debating on 33s if I get the 4 in lift but it can also fit 35s .Im sorry for all the questions but this is the first time I am ever lifting a truck and I would like to do it right . I am open to all opinions and all replies are greatly appreciated
  8. I'd like to start off by thanking you all for stopping by to read this post and helping me out...!!! This summer I plan on throwing a 6 inch lift kit from BDS onto my 2008 Silverado 1500 Ext cab 4x4. Here is a link to the kit: http://bds-suspension.com/product?ma=5&mo=1&ty=1&yr=2007-2013- But before I throw it on, I'd like to know some options I have for locking difs. I plan on running 4.56s or even 4.10 (I still haven't made my mind up yet). I am currently running stock gears which are 3.73 on 33" tires. When I do the lift her, I'd like to run 35s (maybe on 17s or 18s).. haven't decided on that either; don't know which would look better with 35s). Now, my truck has the RPO code that states it has the Eaton G80 Locker. I picked her up in early to mid October of 2014, and since owning the truck I have yet to notice the locker engage. I've been through some deep snow, ice, gravel roads, and some light mud with terrible tires and even then haven't noticed an engagement..? At this point, I'm feeling like I may not actually have a locking dif . So, I start looking briefly at some locking diffs online (one of them was the Detroit Truetrac). But I read somewhere that they don't suggest tires over 33s; reason being that the tire is too big and the locking dif won't engage. Because of that, I'm lost on what locking difs are available/ones I should consider looking into. I don't plan on beating my truck into the ground, nor do I plan on doing extreme off roading/jumping my truck. More like nice casual off-roading with some buddies, going to our fishing/hunting grounds, and exploring new areas. As well as going mudding wherever & whenever we can Appreciate any help any of you can give me. Thanks!
  9. I'm looking at the BDS lifts for my 2014 sierra 1500 and found Coilover lift. Can you put a body lift on a coilover lift? And if you could would it affect the ride quality? Coil-over- http://bds-suspension.com/product?ma=5&mo=1&ty=1&yr=2014-2015&kid=710F I'm lookin to do a 6" lift with a 3" body lift on top of that. I also need some help on what body lift can go on the suspension lift. Thanks yall ($ aint an issue)
  10. I have a Brand New still in the boxes BDS Lift kit for an 07-13 4wd 1500. Need to sell this thing, willing to deal, make me a reasonable offer, worst i can say is no!!! No way to ship, have to be willing to come get or meet! Pd $1818, asking $1400.... Will accept paypal or cash. Located at 26726
  11. Hi all, I've been reading through the lift threads and a lot of people are talking about the Rough Country lift. Is that because that's what Chevy uses? Does Chevy even have an OEM kit for lifting their trucks? I want to do a lift on my truck but I have no idea where to start. I know that I want something like a 4-6" lift and I don't want to go cheap. I want quality. My favorite lift on here is a dude with the handle "rotten tomato". He has a red Silverado and I believe it's a 4" lift by a company called BDS. That lift is CLEAN! I want something like that! Anyway. Does anybody know how to get this done without voiding the manufacturer's warranty? Can anyone tell me the difference between RC and BDS? Is there really a discernible difference?
  12. Brand New still in boxes, never installed BDS 6inch Suspension Lift, kit# 176h, fits 2007-2013 silverado/seirra 4wd. Bought before i traded my 2013 in and never got to install. NEED THIS GONE! $1400 obo. Located in Keyser WV. I have no way to ship this so plan on a road trip. I paid $1759 for it less than 2 months ago. My loss, your gain!
  13. Hey guys, I was hoping someone out there in truck land running a 4" lift would kindly measure the highest point on their pickup from the ground. I'm currently running a 2.5" level but it's just not enough, however, I still need to be able to clear a 6'10 parking garage...
  14. I currently put a 6in BDS lift on my 2003 silverado 2500hd i also put all new ball joints, tie rods, shocks, wheel bearings, and control arm bushings. well i put it all together and when putting the torsion bar keys back on it seemed way to tight. i snapped a breaker bar and bent a ball joint press. i messed around with it and then was able to get it in easier. well now i have no suspension? put your truck up on jack stands with the stands under your frame. that is what it is like. well maybe i turned the key down one to many notches...? no! if i move the key up one notch the truck sits on the floor. it also looks like the torsion bars have a bend to them? i am very confused and do not understand why this is happening i could use some help. thank you. Also i currently do not have my motor in it btw.
