John Goreham Contributing Writer, GM-Trucks.com 4-25-2019 Look closely at the new CarbonPro cargo bed in the 2019 Sierra and you will see printed on it "Connor's Way." That note is printed there as a tribute to GM manufacturing chief engineer, Tim Connor. Tim spearheaded the CarbonPro project. Sadly, he was killed in a motorcycle crash before the new Sierra was completed. Tim Herrick, the executive chief engineer of both Sierra and Silverado, told our fellow publication, The Drive, "Whenever you felt like something could get done, Tim was like the Energizer Bunny in getting it done. Tim made such an impression on me and my team." Hendrick himself ordered the mold to include the tribute and GM backed him. For more information on the CarbonPro bed, please see our prior reports: GMC Shows Off The Durability Of Its CarbonPro Cargo Bed 2019 GMC Sierra - Focus On Tailgate and Cargo Box 2019 Sierra – Diesel Engine, Carbon Fiber Cargo Box, Amazing Tailgate and Trailer Technology – Images and Facts This post is a shorter version of a story by our friend Chad Kirchner that appeared at The Drive. Chad was kind enough to allow us to re-report it and to use his photo.

Has anyone installed a water/methanol inject kit on any of the small blocks (2014-2018)? I personally have the LV3 4.3L V6. Looking to eliminate the carbon build up, caused by direct injection, on the intake valves. Right now I'm trusting that Sea Foam is doing the job every 30k miles. EDIT* I'm also interested in the increased performance after tuning. I am aware that a catch can would eliminate the majority of carbon build up on the valves.
