  2. Hi Guys, I'm not able to do a full out live first drive but wanted to at least get a thread started to share what I can while I drive the new 2015 Suburban, Tahoe, and Yukon Denal today. This morning, I will be driving the Suburban/Tahoe through Donner Pass! Later, I'll drive the Yukon Denali through Nappa Valley. My ability to upload photos will be limited but I plan on doing as much as I can. This may not be very exciting but if you're interested in any of these vehicles, please feel free to request anything. I take a photo for you or let you know what I think about anything.
  3. Hello there, I bought a GMC Sierra 2012. And I would like to change the stereo, my question is what is the biggest size I can fit in my Sierra dash if I'm replacing OEM stereo? Best of luck, Al * Picture attached from google images, http://images.newcars.com/images/car-pictures/original/2012-GMC-Sierra-3500HD-Truck-Work-Truck-4x2-Regular-Cab-133.7-in.-WB-SRW-Interior-Stereo-Controls.png

  5. So i cleaned the maf and throttle body and put half a can of seefoam in the pvc valve and some injector cleaner in the gas tank. It feels like its running better but still has a rough idle. the rpms are near 5 to 6 when the engine is warm that's when it shakes the most you can feel it in the drivers seat. Is there anything I'm missing or should of done differently? 2004 GMC Sierra 2500HD 6.0
  6. Hey all! First post here so forgive me if it's in the wrong spot. Attached is an image I found in my trash after years, and I've always wanted these rims! They just look so cool and I have no idea what the brand/model is. Any guesses?? Cheers, Al
  7. Hey guys, newbie from northern Canada here, I just picked up a 2014 all terrain, 6.2 in iridium metallic. Loving it! I've got some questions regarding lift kit cab heights if anyone has lifted some of the 14's already. I live in a condo building and the parking garage is max clearance is 6'10"...I want to get the biggest lift possible so I was curious as to how tall one of these sits with a 4" lift and 33's...or will I be stuck going the leveling kit route? If anyone has a '14 with a 4" lift, get a tape measure and check it out for me! please. It's a beautiful truck, just can't leave well enough alone!
  8. I am replacing my belt tensioner. I can not find a place where it is bolted in. I thought that it was right in the middle of the actual tensioner but it's not. It look like there is some very large screw? Which nothing else I read or watched mentioned
  9. Hello, my name is Kyle. I am new to GM-Trucks.com and am just starting to really get into do it yourself projects. I will be taking my 1987 GMC S15 pickup down to florida next week for the Daytona 500 from New Jersey. But first I need to replace the belt tensioner. I understand the part of taking it off and putting the new one on but in videos I keep watching them keep mentioning something about the torque when I tighten the new tensioner. When tightening it I don't just tighten it with a socket? I need a torque wrench? Any help or tips you guys or girls can provide me with for this project would be greatly apprciated. Thanks!!!
  10. I am looking for help with my 2007 Gmc sierra 1500 Classic, the transmission had started slipping on me a few days ago, 1st gear works perfect then it gets high rpms and doesn't want to shift into 2nd I have to ease off the throttle with speed to slightly catch either 2nd or third, then even when I'm going 90 kms the rpm is at 3500.. There's slipping going on and it won't shift from 1st to 2nd.. Any Ideas what this could be ? Also my tranny fluid levels were good but the oil smelled burnt.. Thanks

  14. I've just gotten word that I will have the opportunity to drive the next generation 2500HD and 3500HD trucks in late January Right now, it looks like I'll get behind the wheel either January 27th, 28th, or 29th. As soon as I pin down a date, I'll let you all know. Of course, this means a LIVE POST during the actual event! I'll take your comments, suggestions, and requests to give all of you a live impression of what it's like to drive the new HDs. I'll be towing, hauling, and comparing to the competition. We're about two months away. If anyone has any requests or comments please post below. EDIT: It's going to be on Tuesday, January 28th
  15. There is a new [to me] tool box, part number 19170990, that really caught my eye. On gmaccessories.com, it is listed as fitting '14 and '15 model years, but I'm driving an '02. A few questions: If you own this box, what are your thoughts? Does anyone know the manufacturer? Does anyone know where I could find a mounting kit to retrofit it for my truck, if necessary? Is there a similar box that was designed for my truck? The other tool boxes listed are manufactured by UWS, so it probably is too, but I couldn't find it on their website. I know it may seem silly to some, but I would really like the GMC logo on the tool box. That's just how I am.
  16. 1999 GMC Yukon SLT for sale. 175K original, has a factory rebuilt Vortec engine with 15K that was put in Sept. 2012. Original owner's manual and maintenance records since 2006. Has had new front and rear brakes, idler and pitman arm (lifetime Moog), ball joint, starter, rear wiper arm, both front interior door handles, windshield, rear bumper, tires and more since 2008. Leather, heated front seats, clean interior, everything inside works, two tone paint, CD player, A/C, power locks and windows, 4WD, etc. I slid off the road in a snowstorm in April 2013 and hit a highway sign. Most damage is on the driver's side, with some on the right front passenger's side. Definitely needs a new driver's door. All glass intact except driver's door. Still runs and drives, has been draining battery from sitting. (Garaged) Almost all damage is cosmetic and totally repairable. Or, you can pull the engine and part her out. I loved this truck and am sad to see it go. Asking $3200 o.b.o. More pictures available. Located in Colorado.

This time around we're going to do things a little differently. 20. Hey everyone! I have a 2005 GMC Sierra with Bose speakers and I have a high pitched noise that comes out of the speakers from time to time. I've only had my truck for a few months and the first time I heard it was also the first time I used the defroster. Thinking the speaker was bad I unplugged the speaker on the rear passenger door and everything was good. Recently I'm now starting to hear this noise coming from the passenger door. Normally I'd ignore it but it's hard to ignore and it seems to only happen when I'm using the defroster. I'd hate to take apart the passenger door and have two speakers unplugged on that side especially when they sound as good as they do when they are working right. The only thing aftermarket I have is an iSimple thing that plugs into the back of the radio that came with my truck. I've done some research and I'm finding that I'm not the only person with this issue. People are saying to pull out anything aftermarket, replace the radio, replace the speakers, there's a loose ground and so forth but none of these answers appear to be from people who have the problem lol The bottom line, has anyone else had this problem and fixed it before? I kind of want to have a better idea on what to do before I bust open my dashboard and start pulling wires. I appreciate any and all good advice from you guys! Thanks, Adrian

  23. Hey everyone! I'm new to this forum so please forgive me if I am posting in the wrong spot. I have a 2008 GMC Sierra 1500 4wd SLT that is lifted 11" (7.5" RCX suspension and 3" PA body lift) sitting on 37" nittos. I have just recently swapped in a 6.2L with a big nasty cam, a 6L80 6-speed transmission and 4.10 gears...now i'm getting really bad axle wrap to the point of it shredding my u-joints and damaging the diff yoke. Does anyone know where I can find a set of traction bars or ladder bars for my truck? I have looked everywhere online but I can't seem to find anywhere that makes them for my bodystyle. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks
  24. I was unable to get any info this morning after calling GMC corporation customer service, and the dealer I purchased the truck from concerning a ordered and cash deposit paid for the all cash agreed upon contract signed truck order completed on October 27th. The truck I agreed to buy is a GMC 1500 slt 4x4 crew cab with a 6.2 ltr engine. I was told today at GMC that they see the order all they could say was that it was in que to be built. GMC gave no estimated production date given or estimated when it may be ready. The woman at GMC said they have no reason stated ( or at least this customer service agent could not divulge or get the real reason but I felt like she was indicating a parts shortage). I was told to check back each week, when three weeks ago the dealer said it was to be built on Nov 21st. Basically this morning they told me nothing. A couple of questions for anyone who may have a guess as to what is going on so that I can make some sort of decision on the truck. Thank you in advance and as you can tell I am a novice to car buying and presume honesty in those I meet. Mark
