  1. From the album: MoriMoto - Mopar HID Upgrade

Morimoto Mopar Kit, with Putco Fogs. I can already see that I should have gotten 5000K bulbs and not 4300K Ballasts Morimoto 3Five or 5Five DSP Bulbs Morimoto 9005 Wire Harness Morimoto HD Relay or Standalone Canbus Hardware Ballast brackets
  2. This is my build thread for my 2014 GMC Denali- 6.2L Here is the truck the day I picked it up at the dealer. This is what it looks like with a 6" Fabtech lift kit, 20" Ballistic Scythe wheels, Nitto Trail Grappler tires, 20% tint on the front windows and Amp power steps, de badged the GMC & SIERRA on the tailgate. I have added 2 jl 10's and a JL 600/1 under the rear seat. Weather tech Digital fit floor liners. 6000k HID's in the headlights and fog's. Swapped out cargo and reverse lights for VLED's. I have also added the Pop & Lock electronic tailgate lock. I will be adding a 20" rigid LED bar in the front bumper as soon as it arrives. I also plan to install a Pace/Edwards electronic bedlocker soon.
  3. New truck and new to the forum so apologies for any faux pas. A fairly common topic i see and one i have interest in is the problem with HID projector bulbs not looking far enough down the road (ie: aimed too low). Realizing this is likely done from the factory to avoid blinding other drivers given that a truck sits higher than an oncoming honda civic, i'd still like to be able to adjust to see a little further down the road, especially coming down hills. True story, took a 14'SLT Sierra for a 10min test drive on a rural road and almost brought back a raccoon roadkill accessory b/c the lights just don't look far forward enough. Does anyone have experience with either: a) adjusting the angle of the lowbeam HID lamps in the headlamp assembly? b) having your dealer adjust them to your satisfaction? Any other suggestions for getting headlights a bit brighter or more useful would be appreciated.

  5. After installing my aftermarket HIDs and having no issues for about a week, I just noticed my passenger side light has the high beam stuck on the on position. I've tried turning on my high beams and turning them back off but it looks to be stuck. Is this electrical related or mechanical related? I mean, do I need to take the headlamp assembly apart or is it a fix on the electrical wiring side? I have no clue how it works....and advice? Should I just take it into the dealership and say the high beams screwed up or would they say its because I installed a aftermarket HID kit?
  6. I just recently got a 2014 Silverado. I am in the process of installing a HID kit but running into issues. At first every thing was working fine when the truck was off. I then noticed that the headlights would not work when the truck was turned on or driving. Then I installed a relay kit to hopefully resolve all those issues. It now works but the relay buzzes when the truck is put into drive. Any suggestions as to why this this happening?
  7. I just purchased a 2014 sierra and wants to put HIDS in. What's the bulb size to order should I go with the 9006?
  8. Hey what's up? I'm 24 years old and I live just south of Dallas. i recently sold my 05 Tahoe looking to upgrade to a newer 10 or 11. Gotta love the body bodies, ever since my dad had his 99 suburban. That's when i REALLY learned to drive. Damn I had a blast! I used to sneak it out, pick up my buddies and ride around all night. I guess my dad didn't mind since I always brought back in 1 piece or maybe it was the magical full tank he would wake up to. Lol. So that being said his birthday just passed and I want to get him some pure white hid lights for his truck. He has a 09 sierra Texas edition. (Ill post some pics soon) I'm ignorant on most of the subject except the part of the color temperature. I hope to hear from you pros here and help me make the best decision for my old man. Thanks
