Hi, I have 2 questions. One, I want to do the HD Front end conversion on my 2007 NNBS Silverado1500. I know what I need, and I have decided on the 2011-2013 HD grill and bumper. I have gone on line and seen some people go with the 2007-2010 HD hood and some people go with the 2011-2013 HD hood. Would any one know the difference or if one fits better onto the 1500 truck? And does anyone know how to install the bumper? And the second question was, How can I convert the truck into full electric mode? I have manual windows and no power locks. My truck is extended cab and I would wish for the back windows to work as well. Or does anyone have a really good video on what parts I need and how to do it step by step? I am by no means a mechanic but i do work on my trucks here and there on small things. Thanks in advanced!

2014 Silverado drivers side door lock, works sometimes and then not? What am I looking at to repair time and parts wise for a DIY job? Thanks in advance.

I have a 2004 Chevy Silverado 1500. The door lock on the driver side rear works sometimes, the driver side works sometimes, and the passenger side front does not work. I replaced the actuator on the passenger side door and that didn't work. I've had this door fixed for this problem many times when it was under warranty from the dealer. Now today all door locks worked for a couple of times and now its back to the old problem. The door lock on the driver side rear works sometimes, the driver side works sometimes, and the passenger side front does not work. Also, the driver door and driver rear door locks sometimes when you put it in drive and then unlocks when you put it in park. This is driving me crazy. Does anyone know what is going on with this? and how to fix this?

I hope this is the appropriate sub group, if it is not, I would appreciate an admin moving it to the right one if possible. I have a 2008 Tahoe with door lock issues. All 4 doors are acting up, I know the left rear motor is out, because it will not move at all, but the other three are acting strange. Usually, on first try, all the doors will unlock, or lock with the remote or when put in drive or park as expected. A little weak, but work. But if the button (remote or door buttons) are pushed several more times, the locks do not lock or unlock. They act like they want to and move a little, but do not move completely. THe more I push the buttons, the weaker they get. I thought the actuators or motors migght be bad, but they do move, just not enough. But on some occasions, usually first try when going to the vehicle, they work normal. Do I just change the door actuators, or is there a different problem I should be looking at? Thanks for any advice. Oren H.

Hey guys, Hoping to get some input on this as its a little frustrating. My key fob and lock and unlock button on the drivers door do not work at all. I have an 09 Sierra, and have already replaced the lock button as that was the easiest piece to eliminate. There is power to the button, and when i push both the lock and unlock buttons i can hear clicking from the secondary fuse panel. Someone has suggested that i check out the relay, but i am unable to locate and find said relay. All the fuses have been checked and rechecked, and are all in good shape. Dont really want to take it to a shop for this as i can likely do it myself. Thanks in advance Elyse

Hello everyone, I just bought this used 06 Duramax 2500hd crew cab. So the guy that had this truck before me put a screw through the harness going through the driver door towards the bottom that runs all the lock/unlock door open windows etc. Etc. The window controls on the driver side work, but not the door lock/unlock. The passenger lock/unlock works, and driver rear door power lock does not work at all.. the guy that put the system in re-spliced the wires but it's still not working. He thinks either the control module got semi-fried, or the buttons in the door got semi-fried because he said lock/windows/and mirror controls are all one unit with it's own little computer. If anyone has any tips on how to trouble shoot this I would be very appreciative, and also any idea on where to get a newer looking driver door interior panel because all the clips to hold the bottom it were broken off and replaced with, you guessed it, a screw! It's the tan interior, other that that the thing looks almost new. Thank you in advance for the help!!

Hello all Not new to the form but I don't post much. But I do have a question on my 2004 sierra GMC 4.3 base model no power opts. My son has the same year make and model truck but his is full power opts. The motor blow in his and he's going to part it out but told me if I wanted power locks windows and mirrors that I could take the whole door and switch them with mine. To me that sounds cool but will it work like that? Do I need the fuse box from his truck or does mine have it but just not in use because I don't have those opts. Any help would be nice. Thank you

Hello all, Been having a little issue now that I thought I had fixed but obviously not. A few weeks ago, my rear passenger door stopped wanting to lock with the key fob and using the button on the drivers door but it would still unlock with them. I could still manually lock and unlock. Did a little research and thought forsure it was the actuator. Got a new one, put it in,and worked perfect, thought my problem was solved. However, a couple days later when I went back to recheck it and was worse off now. My fob and driver door button would not unlock it, along with I was not able to manually lock or unlock it, it was like seized up and wouldnt move. Got another one through warranty and the same thing happened..so now I am kind of lost and not sure where to go with it. I put the original back in and it still wont lock, but can at least do it manually. I have checked fuses and it is only the one rear door. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!!

Hopefully someone on here can help me out. I've tried just about everywhere else and nobody else seems to have this problem. My 2000 Suburban is having problems with it's power door locks. Only the driver's side works. I originally thought it was the actuators, but I replaced the passenger side one and the problem hasn't changed at all. Then I replaced the driver's door control switch, but that didn't help either, although it did fix another one of my problems. It seems like the actuators aren't getting enough power and some only seem to be getting power one way (unlock only), while others make noise both ways. Is there a good way to test the other actuators with a multimeter? I'd replace them all but none seem to come with the extra sensor or whatever it is and I also don't think that's the problem. Thanks for any help.
