Rough Country mixup.
Byron Greenleaf posted a topic in 2014 - 2019 Silverado & SierraSo I bought this 2015 Sierra and it needs ball joints replaced. Only problem is I can’t get a straight answer about If I need new upper control arms or stock ones put back in. It currently has Rough Country arms but when I asked RC they told me that they should not be installed. ALSO I’m not 100% sure in the size of the lift. RC says it’s a 5” but it doesn’t seem like it. Just looking for some input. Thanks
Level + Tires
NorEaster posted a topic in 2014 - 2019 Silverado & SierraI know there must already be a topic out there floating around about this but I figured I would ask. I am currently running a 2" RC level on a 2016 All-Terrain with the stock 20 "All-Terrain rims and have been looking at tires. I want a little more ground clearance on the truck too. I was hoping to run a 34" but then I am curious as how a leveled will look with a 34" tire. Does anyone have that or is running that? If so can you post a picture. Secondly if it won't fit I was thinking about throwing a 4" LIFT in and running a 34". Does anyone have any experience with that? Or running that setup? Any tips or information is helpful. Thank you in advance!
07 silverado 1500 with 7.5” RC lift I’ve discovered recently that my cv joints are on a steep angle causing them to clunking and wear down. So i read into it and alot of others have this problem with these lifts. Could anyone provide the list of parts to decrease this angle on the cv’s and fix the binding issue. Cheers
Lift Kit advice
Gotsoup posted a topic in 2014-2018 Silverado & Sierra ModsI have a 2014 Silverado Z71 Crew Cab. I have been lurking on this site for a couple months, but figure its time to get some advice. I am looking at a lift so I have 2 questions 1. I am leaning towards a Fabtech 6" over a RCX 7.5 anyone able to make a case why the RCX (which is a little cheaper) would be a better option. 2. I have a 3.42 gear ratio and I am a little worried about 35 inch tires. The dealership will still back my warranty after a lift and the shop will warranty the lift. Question: Should I stick with a 6" lift with 35" tires or should I play it safe with a 4" lift and 33's. I have an Airaid intake, Magnaflow exhaust and will be getting a tune through Blackbear. Any thoughts would be helpful, I have read every lift thread there is but many do not specifically address these questions. Thanks
