  1. I recently purchased a 07 max and I am in the process of customizing it. Lvling kit/body lift, tire/rim combos etc. Really looking for some ideas guys so post away.
  2. My 2006 Chevy Silverado 1500 Z71 won't shift into overdrive. -It started with, my check engine light came on Blinking the other day but then the light shut off almost immediately. I had pulled over, once the check engine light shut off moments later I went to pull back out and the truck wouldn't shift into overdrive. The light has come on a couple of times before but it was never blinking and usually a couple days later it would just shut of on it's own before we could get it looked at. Does anyone have any Ideas as to what might be going on? - And please tell me it's a cheap fix, HAHAHA
  3. I’ve got a 94 Chevy k1500 with the 4l60e transmission. I have lost reverse completely, it will rev up to 2000 ish rpm in reverse and nothing, but that’s as high as it will go. It also drives forward in neutral but it acts like its in first and won’t shift up. In drive it drives completely normally, all the gears, smooth shifting etc. I just put this transmission in this truck and I got it from someone that I trust who said it worked fine, and when I first put it in everything was normal. But after a day of driving the truck now it has this issue. I’ve checked the fluid level and it’s where it should be as well as adjusting the shift linkage, and even disconnecting it and trying to shift it manually and same result. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  4. So I had a bully dog tuner for my truck and haven't had it plugged in since I got a new engine installed a few years back. Found it today and found someone who would buy it. Contacted bully dog and found out that I would have to change my tuning to "stock" to be able to unlock the device so the guy could buy it from me. I told them that my truck was already stock and they said that I just needed to run the stock tune to be able to unlock it. So I did that and it cut my engine power and turned off ABS and Stabilitrak. Cant go over 25mph, truck shakes, sounds weird. I have no idea what to do and their customer service is closed for the night. I have work in the morning, any suggestions?
  5. Took my 2017 Chevy Silverado z71 to the dealer today . Engine was ticking on top end sounded like a lifter tick and slight deeper knock in bottom end . oil presure was all over the place would go from 65 psi to 25 psi at same rpm. I have 44,000 miles. Has anyone else had this issue? With the strike in play who know how long I will be without my truck.
  6. I am sure as big as this forum is this has been covered many times. Feel free to point me to a thread if you have one. However I picked up a new to me 16’ Silverado Z71 only 33k miles. I installed a Motofab lower mount leveling kit on the front without issue. Love it. 2 inch kit. The rear after the front was done was slightly a quarter inch lower. So I ordered the 1 inch rear block from Motofab. It was even easier to install. No issues whatsoever. Until I went to get it aligned. The front is perfect according to our local reputable shop. He said the rear however is way off(looking at the pic is he accurate in saying “way off”?). Did I cause this? Here is the paper they gave me. Is it possible he measured wrong, tire pressure, been in a wreck, etc? Thank you in advance. *Don’t judge my mudflaps.

  8. Hey everyone, I recently had a minor accident and bumped my buddy’s tow hitch and pretty much have destroyed all the cosmetic parts of my 2015 z71 plus package bumper. All brackets and such are fine and I’ve gotten some parts in already including upper cap, but I got an aftermarket shell and when talking to with the body shop we’re both unsure as to if you can put any filler panel and skid plate on it. He was worried that it may not fit but I would assume it should be the same to bolt on( z71, and non z71 filler panels and skid plates) has anyone ever swapped from one trim levels filler panel and skid plate to another? I don’t see a need to buy a $190 skid plate (z71 plus) if I’m just gonna paint it anyway. Thanks in advance!
  9. Starting off I am sure there are threads that answer these questions but I had trouble finding answers, and it’s my first time lifting a truck so trying to be thorough. So I have my 2018 1500 Z71 CCSB that once my warranty runs out I plan to lift it, leaving stock till that day, I’ve been looking at BDS lifts and Zone, the 6” and 6.5” is the height I want to go with. Zone’s 6.5” kit from what I’ve learned is a maxed out 4.5” kit basically. BDS 6” has either the coil over package or the strut spacer package I believe, I have stamped steel control arms for UCA, LCA I can’t remember exactly and will check when I get home. My questions are based toward the BDS option as I do not want to use the zone unless I have to My questions are is it worth it to get the coil over system vs the kit without coil overs, because that’s almost 1700$ more? What kind of installation costs is it typically for a installation? Has anyone had issues since they installed their kit? if I go with the coil overs, should I do the base set of coilovers or the ones with DSC? Id like to have 4WP install the kit so I could have their warranty on the install along with the BDS lifetime warranty, but not sure if they would do the install (I haven’t called them to see about this yet) I’m going to use the custom offsets site to see what wheel/tire combos I can run but if y’all have pictures that would be awesome to see to get a ballpark
  10. I haven't seen anyone with official numbers. displaying the height of our trucks so I decided to pull it in the garage and measure up a couple of points. Keep in mind, this is a 2019 Trail Boss Custom, Z71, Crew Cab, Standard Bed, with ~3000miles. Everything is completely stock and the tank was 95% full. I measured the following heights; - all 4 corners(at the fender) measured at the center of the wheel - front diff (lowest point) - rear diff (lowest point) - front shroud/bumper (lowest point) I've taken the measurements twice, once SETTLED and once UNSETTLED. To better define the terms, the settled measurements were taken by simply driving the truck in the garage, and measuring. I weigh around 200lbs ( seems to matter as there was a little lean tot he driver side). The unsettled measurements were taken by, lifting the vehicle, front and back, just to the point where the tires were off, then slowly letting the jack down and removing it. SETTLED Measurements; DS front - 39 1/4" DS rear - 41 3/8" PS front - 39 1/2" PS rear - 41 3/8" front diff - 13" rear diff - 9" bumper - 13 5/16" UNSETTLED Measurements; DS front - 39 7/8" DS rear - 41 1/2" PS front - 40 1/8" PS rear - 41 3/8" front diff - 13 3/8" rear diff - 9" bumper - 14" I've added all the pictures to this gallery ----> I've attached a couple of critical photos I think everyone should be aware of.

I know there is a Custom Sport edition but I think that is only for crew cabs it also is a different shade of white than what I have. There also is a Midnight edition for the all balck Silverados... I am just curious as to what my package is called because where I am located I havent seen a truck like mine since I have owned it the past 6 months or so. Thank you in advance!

  14. I currently drive my 2015 silverado 1500 regularly for work which involves various construction projects and survey work. I am looking to install flashing orange construction lights on my truck. I'm not looking for anything magnetic that you just put on the roof because I don't want to scratch my paint. I'm looking for something that could possibly be mounted in the front grill or the back taillights. I know plug and play kits are kinda hard to come by for this but I have no experience wiring anything. Any help is appreciated if you could point me into the right direction or provide your own opinion. Thank you

  16. Hey folks, just wanted to introduce myself real quick since i finally decided to join up instead of just steal all of your knowledge like I've been doing for so long. Lots of great people in here obviously, so glad to join and hopefully add to it. New to this forum, not new to chevy trucks, and picking up my new L5P on Friday out in Weatherford TX. This will be my third Duramax, stoked as hell to give the L5P a shot. Including a couple of pics the dealer sent me yesterday before finalizing the deal over the phone. To do list already: 5% tint VLED low beams Looking into Morimoto LED projector fog lamp replacements Add factory clearance lights (who the hell builds a 1 ton without them?!)   17. Hello all, I have been considering getting mud flaps for my 2015 silverado as I am tired of mud, dirt, snow and rocks getting tossed up onto my paint. I am just wondering which mud flaps people on this forum have been using. I have taken a look into the oem chevy ones, weathertech and also rekgen. If anyone has added these to their vehicle please let me know your opinion on which style mud flap you have used. I am looking for ones that are more of a kickable style. Any help is appreciated
  18. Looking at crew cab short bed 4x4’s with the V8’s. I just can’t wrap my head around not having low range so it’ll either be a Z71 or a Trail Boss. Been watching prices and I’m seeing Custom Trail Boss trucks starting to get close to the prices of the LT. As in within a grand or even less. Anyone bought a Custom and regret it? I have a 2011 Silverado 1500 4x4 and my wife has a 2017 Yukon 4x4. Both have the 6L80 transmission and hers has the Ecotec 5.3 V8. Very happy with that engine and transmission combo and even with less power my ‘11 moves and drives well with the 3.42 gears. Will I miss anything with a Custom instead of a regular LT Z71? 6 spd vs 8 spd? Gas mileage? Something else?

  20. I am doing a little bit of research on possibly getting my 2015 1500 Silverado cermaic coated. My truck is black so it shows dirts and dust fairly easily. I have always applied wax to my previous cars just had heard about ceramic coating through social media. The product that I have heard the most is called CeramicPro. If anyone has used it on their vehicle how did it turn out? Any help is appreciated.
  21. I have 96 with the 5.7 and it's been running lean for a while bank 1 and 2 and can not figure out what is causing it. I have changed maf sensor tps sensor new spark plugs there was a code for malfunction o2 sensor i replaced that and I also put some injector cleaner in the tank also changed fuel filter. The truk idles fine but when I put it in reverse and drive and im crawling/creeping along like backing out of the drive way its stuttering and running rough like its about to die/shut off and usually ill get on the gas a little and it will start running fine. It runs fine once I get going 10-20mph on up from there its just when I fire it up and get to rolling and foot is barely on the pedal. Also not even a week ago truck gauges would go to 0 and would get stuck in 3rd ended up being a ground on back of the engine. I do hear a small leak under the driver side could be exhaust manifold or where the flange is right under it where the pipe connects but I don't think it would cause it to run lean. Tomorrow i'm going to check fuel pressure, all I can think of is bad fuel pump, regulator, maybe intake manifold gasket even though I don't see any signs or even a bad ecm. Any help would be appreciated. Also should there be a little bit of oil in the air intake tube? its also in that vent that just pops in the side that comes from the top of the valve cover. its oily around the bottom too where it goes into the cover.
  22. On the 2016-18 Z71’s. Has anyone had trouble with the adhesive on the molding? Every time I look over at it, it’s popping out and noticeable. Im A little worried that it’s going to end up ripping off soon. I cleaned it up and used 3M double sided tape on it but looks like it keep wearing off for some reason.

  24. Kind of stupid but I was pulling forward in the driveway with some snow and I was expecting the G80 locker to clunk in and then have both wheels spin at the same speed. Just my luck though there was a continous banging instead. Traction control was off and so was stabilitrack. You can hear it pretty good in the video, was it at the sweet spot of 100ish rpms and that's why it was locking and unlocking?? Rear end5.mp4
  25. Hey so im looking for all black emblems for my 2018 silverado z71 ltz, i was wondering if anyone knows where i can get these or how to make this happen? Ive found “silverado ltz” in all black but cant find the side “z71” on the doors, the all black bow ties or the small all black z71 in the grill..
