  1. I'm working on a 2014 silverado with a 5.3. I have a p0202. We have replaced the injector and the ecm. The injector is not getting any pulse nor is there pulse coming out of the ecm. Any ideas would be appreciated. I'm at my wits end.
  2. I have a 5.3 with the 6L80 in it and was hoping to swap over to a 6.2 but i can’t find much online about what i will need to replace, anything would help. I know i’ll need a new ECM and possibly a new flex plate but besides that i’m not sure. Thanks in advance!

My reverse lights are staying on: When in park When in drive When the ignition is off I have removed fuse #33 in the engine compartment fuse box which kills power to the revers lights to keep from killing my battery. This also keeps my reverse camera from turning on when in reverse also. I have unplugged the backup camera thinking this was causing a bad ground with no success. I don't see where a relay might be that could be bad/stuck. This is a interment problem which points to ground or relay issue somewhere but I don't know where to look.
  4. Hello. Is anyone having issues with the "air bag service light"? At 140 miles the abs sensor and bearing in the front passenger side went bad and the dealer had to replace it. The next 3700 miles with this truck were awesome but now I've been dealing with this air bag service light for the last 400 miles. I've already had the dealer look at it 3 times and they can't seem to fix it. The dealer inspected the wiring harness under the driver's seat and removed extra grease, then they replaced wiring harnesses, now they did some reprogramming and it's still acting up. There is nothing that triggers it, it just comes on when it wants to. I could be driving to the corner store and it comes on, stays on for about 10 - 15 seconds then it turns off. A mile down the road it comes back on for another 10 - 15 seconds then it turns off. I am beyond frustrated with this to say the least. Any comments / suggestions / recommendations are greatly appreciated. Thanks!

  6. I bought my 2014 Silverado last July when I came back from Afghanistan. Truck was fine. Every now and then when I’d hit a pot hole or back up in tight spots my stabilitrak light would come on. And when I would back up it felt as tough my power steering was out. Fast forward to March 2019 and the problem got worse. I would be driving and the stabilitrak light would come on, truck shuts off and then comes right back on. Yeah. It literally shuts off by itself and then cuts right back on by itself. I did my research and I replaced the steering angle sensor. It fixed the problem. Now the past few weeks the problem came back. My wife and I drove to NC and the truck did the same thing. It cut off 12 times that day. It didn’t matter how slow or fast I was going it still would shut off and cut back on. Last weekend I stopped at a gas station and then the truck didn’t even start. No lights came on when I opened the door and nothing when I turned the key. It’s in the shop now and they don’t even know what the problem is. Any help or ideas would be appreciated.
  7. Just purchased a used 2014 v6 Silverado with only 36600 miles. Have terrible shudder when switching from v6 to v4 or back. Service manager only response was don't use it, use the manual shift and stay in 5 gear. Connected GM and they say nothing we can do . Been a GM owner for 50 years but no more , I think I'm going Toyota. Dealer sold me a lemon
  8. I decided after a week of having the Crew that the factory non-Bose system really sucks. I will be installing an Audio Control LC6i to convert the factory signals over to RCA. I am running 2 Rockford amps, a Power T400-4 for the doors, and a Power T400-2 for the sub. The door speakers are Rockford P1675 3-ways in the front doors, and P165 2-ways in the rear doors. I am using a single 12" Rockford P3SD4 under the driver's side rear seat in a Subthump box. (http://subthump.com/product_info.php?cPath=1_72&products_id=457) The power and ground will be Lightning Audio 1/0 gauge to the back, and then 4 gauge to the amps. Running 12 gauge speaker wire to all. I'm going to try leaving the dash speakers hooked up to the factory outputs, just to have some fill in up front. Lots of install pics to come.
  9. Hey guys, Sorry if this has been already posted or discussed before! My dad and I put on longtube headers on my 2014 silverado. We had a helluva time getting the driver side header on from the bottom - up. So we decided to disconnect the steering shaft to give myself room to drop the header down. We got it all installed with relative ease after that and tightened down both bolts on the steering shaft. The next day I tried to remote start my truck and the once I press the remote start, my lights flash as if the truck recognizes it but doesn't try to turnover or anything. The steering is fine once I start the truck, but I noticed that my steering wheel gets locked more often now and I have to giggle the wheel back and forth to unlock the ignition to get my key in. I was wondering if anyone had advice or a video or putting the steering shaft together and see what we did wrong. Thanks
  10. Hi, I just purchased a house with a garage and my 2014 Silverado is exhibiting the Homelink transmitter only working at short range to open the garage door. It will work in the garage sitting under the opener, but not from outside the door. On this forum, I found reference to a TSB related to this. I found it out on the web as TSB# 16-NA-306. Problem is that my truck is out of warranty. I just sent a message to Chevrolet to see if they will do something for me since I didn't have the opportunity to try out the home link transmitter since I haven't had a garage until now! Has anyone else had any luck with this type of request? I'm hopping they'll do some sort of exception for me. Especially since I previously owned a Silverado and my wife has an Imapala. My Dad also has a Colorado. Quite the Chevy family
  11. Hey Forum - Any idea what the part number is for the puddle lamps on the bottom of the exterior mirrors? I have the heated/power mirror (not the larger tow mirror). Can't find anything on this at the moment. Anything aftermarket or better than stock would be good information too.   12. Hello All, This is my first time posting in this forum!! Just bought a DiabloSport Itune I3 Platinum Programmer. I am looking for some decisive direction as well as suggestions on the best parameters for tuning my truck with the I3 Platinum. Specs of Truck: 2014 Silverado Z71 LTZ 2WD Crew Cab Rough Country leveling kit installed 33" x 12.5" x 22" Nitto Terra Grappler G2 A/T tires 5.3L Ecotec flex engine K & N Cold Air Intake installed Gentle 46k miles I RUN 93 OCTANE IN THIS TRUCK Being a 2 wheel drive (It Does have the Z71 package, Rancho shocks, etc...) Obviously it raked in the front. First thing I did was put the K&N CAI on and it was like a rocket in Manual 5 gear mode, when I shifted through the gears myself. After leveling kit and 33's with aggressive tread, it was complete garbage. No power, confused shift points, almost like missing. Just a hot mess. So I bought the Intune I3 first, rather than switching to a 4.10 gear (which I may do later). Already turned off AFM and that was immediately effective. Also, 15% throttle boost. Can anyone suggest the best parameters to make this bad boy get up and GO!!?? I would like to know if there is a good idea on what ECM and TCM adjustments should be made to not only get that stock power back on 33's. But also get good fuel economy. The standard Diablo Flex, Jammer and 91 tunes don't seem to help a whole lot. Still bogs down and takes forever to get through 1st and 2nd gear. Anybody know about these tuners on a 14 Silverado with 33's?!?!?! Please help!!! Alan
  13. I have read a couple of threads on here about a popping noise from the shocks, most are talking about the front shocks. So, my 2014 Silverado Crew cab 4x4 starting making what i can only describe as a "exhaust pipe bumping into the frame" noise, then it stopped. i was under the truck last night looking to see if i had the JL1 brake controller when i noticed the drivers side rear shock top mount bolt was gone and the shock was fully extended, laying on the spare, a quick jaunt to the parts store and 45 min later, no problem. now this morning i notice my noise is back, could this be a faulty shock? how could i "lose" a shock bolt?

  15. As the title says, anybody still love their 2015 or 2015 silverado? I recently purchased a 2014 V6 4wd, used with 70k miles, 1 owner - clean carfax/autofax - seemed to be well maintained. After I bought it, I read all about the bad stuff that can happen, luckily my truck so far drives smooth (maybe minor vibration around 85 mph but I rarely drive that fast) and no flair shifting. Does have a mild engine tick noise but nothing major, AC still works. So naturally my anxiety kicks in after reading some stuff on this forum so really just wondering if anybody out there has one that they still really like? So far mine is great, and hoping it stays that way. My previous truck was an 04 colorado, base model - stick shift, roll down windows, no auto locks no nothing. Bought it for 8500 out the door with 85k miles on it back in 2010. It lasted me 8 years with little maintenance and recently died. Hoping this truck will last me as long but when you read up on them its all doom and gloom as far as GM trucks go. But I am sure that ford/dodge etc... all have their fair share of problems too. And as with any used vehicle, you're always taking a risk, I get that. Anybody willing to share their thoughts? And if this is a repeat I apologize, new to the forums. Thanks, Zach
