I have a 2014 Silverado. For some time now it's been making this noise from under the truck. Friends have guessed at it and so have mechanics and we cant seem to figure it out. The guesses I've heard were lifters, rod knock, transmission teeth, drive shaft, and engine misfiring.. moat of which are not the case as the truck still runs well and shifts properly. This noise is also accompanied by a check engine light (Not Flashing) so no misfire... I'm just confused as hell and just want to fix this thing.... also this only occurs while driving at a steady speed only between 1000 and 1500k RPM any faster or slower and the noise goes away. Here's a reference video so you can hear what I'm talking about.

Update on how my truck is coming out
6FOOT6Chevy posted a topic in 2014-2018 Silverado & Sierra Mods
Its been awhile since I've put up an update post on what I have done to my truck in the past few months. So here is the list.... -RC 2 inch leveling kit -Carven performance exhaust ( Competition muffler ) -Aftermarket taillights ( returning soon as they already have issues ) -future planned taillights are morimoto's -Black bowtie swap front and rear -I may get aftermarket headlights in the future if prices go down. -Custom HD towing mirrors ( The front LED turn signals are sequential ) -20 inch light bar mounted onto a license plate bracket mount -20x10 -25 offset dropstar 655bm -33x12.5 toyo open country RT's -Front end air dam removal with trimming for tires -LED turn signal bulbs All these mods were done myself except for the tow mirrors since i had them done at my Chevy dealer so that i made sure everything worked properly and was warrantied for the wiring harness. Please give me your thoughts and opinions on my build and give me any pointers o what i should do next to the truck. I'm thinking about getting a cold air inductions CAI next. -
There will not doubt in time with the passing days, weeks, months and years ahead, be a shift in interest from this K2 generation forum over to the new 2019-20XX T1 GM Trucks section. As a newer member to this forum I am still playing catch up to all the information about my truck, our trucks..... since about April. My purchase was a CPO used truck so this is why I am late to the party! I check in here every day, multiple times a day...……. to read & learn from all of your experiences and even share some of mine. May this K2 forum continue to thrive with new & existing members (and guests) of our outgoing generation! I hope you all continue to check back and chime in here now and then! I have a set of Cocoa Brown GM all weather rear mats that fit an extended or double cab, I have a crew cab and bought them by mistake. They are a lot like Weather Tech; water proof, water "catching" and completely cover the rear carpeted area from under the front seat almost to the rear wall . They are designed to work with or without the under-seat storage. They are formed fitted to the contours of the rear floor and "snap together", for lack of a better word, right over the rear hump. They are GM part # 23237405. I did get the right ones for my crew cab and they are great. Contact me if you need them shipped and I'll figure out a cost. I'm asking $75 for them
