  1. Hello, First time on here, but I'm hoping that someone can help me repair my 2016 Chevy Suburban My link 8" screen. It has been glitchy in the past, with the touch area having a mind of it's own. But that is very sporadic. But just the other day, it went totally black. The secret glove box still opens and closes fine. the radio works, but you can only control from the steering wheel controls. The bluetooth for the phone works. So I feel like the screen must have gone bad. Has anyone ever replaced one?? cost?? Thanks so much, and I look forward to participating more in the forums. Brad
  2. I have a 2016 Suburban LTZ with just shy of 100k miles on it. I bought it used with 40k miles on it. I've never towed anything heavier than a riding lawn mower, but I'm having transmission issues. The last couple of months it has been shifting hard, especially in low gears. When I use manual shift I can control it just fine with no hard shifting problems. Dealer told me I either need to replace the torque converter ($1,500 with labor) or rebuild the transmission ($4,500 with labor). I chose to reset the ECM and replace the fluid instead, but that didn't solve my problem. Has anyone else had this problem? I don't want to spend $1,500 on the torque converter if that isn't going to solve my problem, and I don't want to rebuild the transmission if all I need is a new torque converter. Side question--a friend told me if the transmission is toast, the engine isn't far behind. Thoughts on that?
  3. Hey, everyone! New to the forums here -- my name is Chris and I just picked up my 1st Suburban yesterday; a CPO 2016 LT w/Luxury package, Sun & Entertainment, wheel upgrade, etc. Loving the truck so far, just one minor issue. I am unable to get the car to recognize my Pixel 3 XL and launch Android Auto. Before anyone asks, yes -- I have the AA app installed. I've done my due diligence before posting, scouring the web for hours now, to no avail. The USB works in charging my phone, but the car just won't launch AA. I was able to connect my wife's iPhone and CarPlay launched immediately. I tried a couple different cables and even tried all the "developer options" tweaks that I read about online. I ordered a couple of different USB-A to USB-C cables built to 3.0 spec just to be sure cables aren't the issue, but other than that not sure what I can do other than waste 1/2 at the dealer to see if they can figure it out. I really don't want to have to do that. Help, GM-TRUCKS.com, you're my only hope!
