  1. Vehicle Details 2023 GMC Sierra Denali with a LZ0 3.0L Duramax Diesel. It has 7,300 miles in total. Issue DEF Level indicator not reporting proper fluid level. At startup, with DEF tank full, the center dash display shows “DEF Range 200 mi”. If the level drops by one gallon below full, the display shows “DEF Level Empty” and you can not use any of the other center dash displays. It locks the display and only shows “DEF Level Empty”. Appointment With Dealer After arriving for my appointment and explaining the above for the second time, 1 hour and 20 minutes, they said I was all set. They didn’t perform SB # 22-NA-150. They reset the DEF system and cleared its data. This seems to have corrected the issue, but I’m not confident that this is a long-term solution. The DEF level indicator still is reading less than full when the tank is, like it will show no higher than ¾ full. Anyone else having this issue? Any long term fix?
  2. Hey all, I just purchased an Eibach Pro truck kit with springs for my 2017 . So I will be leveling out my truck to at least 2.5inches. I am wanting to get some UCAs to go with it and do it all in one go and have the angles in check. I am looking at: Freedom Offroad Kryptonite Cognito I really like the Kryptonite/Cognito since they use the bolt in balljoint. I want to stick with regular balljoints instead of the uniballs and something ~500 bucks or under. Any other brands I should look at? Currently Im not sure what type of gm UCAs I have. Is there anything else I should look out for? I will be running stock 17in rims for awhile before new wheels/tires are in the budget. Thanks in advance
  3. Have a 2020 gmc denali 1500 with a 2” leveling kit. Looking to see what tire size I can run without rubbing. Or very minor trimming. Have a 20” rim
  4. I'm wanting to upgrade my wheel and tire's on my 2022 Silverado Z71 Duramax. I've given it some thought and I don't want to go much beyond what's been factory options (33's). My stock tire's are the 275/60R20's. I've settled on these two tire sizes for the time being and would like some input from the community. The 305/65R18 does seem to be flirting with control arm clearance as I've read that my stock setup may even come into conflict with certain aftermarket UCA's (Camburg billet). I've attached some screen shots of an offset calculator that I've been using for comparisons. The aftermarket wheels I'm looking at for this setup do have less positive offset and there for the tire is less than a 1/4" closer to the UCA. I've measured my stock setup and it seems as though this would work as I currently seem to have at least a 1/2" to 3/4". Maybe my bigger concern is the added 1" added outside? I would like to retain the factory mudflaps and wheel well liner. Any experience with running this setup or information about clearance's would be helpful. I've also thought about running a 17" wheel as I really like the look of tall sidewalls. My other thought is to run a 285/75R17 on a 17" rim with a 0 offset. This would definitely help with any potential control arm issue's but it would cause the tire to stick out about 1 1/4" from stock sizing. Would this cause any clearance issue's? This may be my preferred combo, due to the taller sidewall and plenty of control arm clearance. Any input is appreciated. I do plan on leveling the truck. My current thought is 5100's or Fox2.0 IFP. Do I need to know anything about these working on a Duramax? Thanks for your time. PS...I've attached a screen shot of the two tire sizes in question as compared to one another. I would also be able to run the tires I’m wanting with a “C” load rating at 305/65 vs an “E” rating on the 285’s. Would this be helpful with dampening the harsher ride from the 5100’s?
  5. If anyone has any experience with my situation please feel free to comment with any tips or your own experiences. I have 3" front 2" rear level on my 2018 silverado. I left everything else stock in the suspension and after about 30k miles I now have completely blown my CV joints. I will be replacing the CV axels, UCA's (recommendations?), and installing a differential drop kit this weekend. Hopefully this helps relieve the angles of the ball joints and CV axel. I've never done a diff drop before so wish me luck. Hopefully it's not too terrible of an install.
  6. 2017 GMC Sierra I want to fit 35s on my stock wheels and have the smallest lift i can do. I don’t want to do a whole lot of cutting maybe no cutting at all. What size lift or level can I do
  7. Hello guys, looking to just level my 2016 chevy silverado z71. Is the best way to do spacers or to do like a bilstein 5100 shocks? Am guessing spacers are the cheaper way. Is there any other options besides belstein shocks? Thanks for any info!
  8. I get it, I'm an idiot who should search the forum. As much as I accept this, I have searched the forum and I completely suck at it because I can't find what I'm looking for. Initially, all I wanted to do was just level my truck. However, after purchasing a leveling kit that gets placed on the bottom of the strut, I read a ton of reviews saying they suck because they put stress on the control arms, so I returned the kit. Since I like the look of the AT4, I figured I'd look at 2-3" suspension lift kits and discovered there are some that aren't that expensive, so now I'm pretty set on going this route. My question is-- do these lift kits also level the truck, and if not, will doing so put the same stress on the control arms as leveling it with the stock suspension? Clearly, my idiocy stretches far beyond searching ****** on this forum... I was planning to go with Bilstein shocks anyway and found this kit online. Does anyone know if this will also level my truck? I was also looking at this 3" Superlift that comes with Bilsteins, it's more expensive, but if it does more of what I'm looking for, I'm down. Call me an idiot, I'm married, so I'm used to it. Any advice would be much appreciated. Cheers!
  9. I presently have 2.5" level and trying to decide between BFG KO2s 275/65r20's or 285/65r20's . The latter is significantly more expensive. I've searched quite a bit on here and only found a hand full of guy running 285/65r20s on a 2.5" level. Of the pix I have found, one looks like that setup is "stuffing them in the wheel wells", while the guy running the exact same setup looked perfectly fine. If you have that setup please post up pix! Or if you have the 275/65r20s and wish you had gone bigger, please chime in also!
  10. Good morning everyone, I recently purchased a 2018 GMC Sierra Crew Cab SLT All-Terrain package. I'm personally wanting to install a leveling kit and I believe I've selected one. I've read a lot about leveling kits for 2017-18 trucks and this seems like a great kit. However, there isn't many reviews on this product by ReadyLift. The appeal of this lift is the UCA replacements and the <2" height it allows. I'm wanting to go with 305/55/20 or 285/60/20 tires with my stock AT wheels and I want as much clearance possible. I found maybe 2-3 members on here with this lift and I'll quote them below. My question is, will this work with my All-Terrain package? In the description of the kit it states, "Will not work on Z71 packaged vehicles with factory Rancho® struts." Yet on ReadyLift's website, there is nothing supporting that statement. Does anyone have any information or review for this kit? Thanks!
  11. 2014 Silverado LTZ crew cab 4x4 I recently put my rear air ride suspension on and waiting for my 3in motofab leveling kit to come in. With the 3in kit up front what tire size can I go to now? Will I need a bigger rim? Do you have any pictures of stock rim with bigger/beefier tires? Do you have any pictures of larger rims with bigger ties? Currently running stock rim with gy 275/55r20 all terrains
  12. I just bought a 2015 Sierra Denali and I would really like to lift the front end to level the truck out. I’d rather not drop the rear end. I have scoured the forums and the Internet, looking for a leveling kit that works with the Magnetic Ride Control. Has anyone successfully installed a leveling kit that works with the magnetic ride control? I assume the kit would have to include some sort of relocation brackets for the sensors? I saw someone said the suspension maxx kit works with the magnetic suspension, but I did not find any information to back that statement up. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!!
  13. On my 2015 Silverado Crew Cab 2WD, I currently have the RC 2.5 inch spacer leveling kit with all stock shocks. I am wanting to replace all 4 shocks with Bilstein 5100s. Does anyone have experience combining these shocks with the spacers from RC? I would also like a little more ground clearance. Nothing too crazy, just a little more aggressive look than the stock 2WD height with a leveling kit. Trying to decide if I take the spacers out and go with the RC 3.5 inch suspension lift with upper control arms, remove the spacers and go with Bilstein 5100 on the highest setting all around, or simply replace all shocks with 5100 and keep the spacers up front. Just trying to figure out what will get me the look I want and also be the most mechanically sound so I don't cause any weird issues with ball joints, etc. Any help would be awesome. Thanks!
  14. I have the 4.3 L V6 Silverado that calls for 6 quarts of oil. However, if I put 6 quarts in the truck it seems to be well past the full “waffle mark“ (crosshatch fill zone)on the dipstick. It actually almost goes up to the point where the dipstick reader and the wire connect. Seems awfully high. However, if I put 5 1/2 quarts in it, it almost reaches the top of the waffle impression. and yes, I completely emptied the oil and drained it on a flat surface. in fact, when you read the dipstick with 6 quarts of oil in it, it’s almost hard to tell that the oil is actually going well above the top of the full mark of the dipstick because it tapers off at the top. If you hold it in the perfect light, you can tell that it is well above the waffle mark Anyone else notice this oddity in the dipstick reading?
  15. New to this site, I have a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado LTZ I purchased and ordered the 2.5in front Motofab levelling kit. Wondering what size tire I can fit without any rubbing issues? Have 20in stock chev wheels on it right now, may upgrade to fuel wheels with 0mm offset 20x9. Can I run a 33x12.5x20 or will the width cause me to rub on stock wheels? Any help would be appreciated!
  16. I have a 2014 Denali and I currently have the ride height adjustable bilsteins shocks and they don't lift the truck enough to actually level it and I am wanting something with better performance. I want a coilover that gives 2.5-3" of front lift and upper control arms. I am looking at the icon, King, fox and Baja kits but I want to run my stock 20" rims. Does anyone have any input on what kit they went with, how it rides and if it can run stock rims? Any input is greatly appreciated!!
  17. New to the forum, first time posting. I have a 2017 1500 Silverado LT, 3-inch MotoFab leveling kit, wheels are Chevy stock CV32, 20x9, 28mm offset, 6.1 inch backspacing, have installed a 1/4 inch wheel spacer. The 1/4 inch (6.35mm) spacer was installed to stop rubbing of the stock Stamped UCA. Tires are 275/60/20. I'm what to install a new UCA that corrects the UCA ball joint angle. Problem is, ll the UCAs I've looked at require 4.5 inch backspace or less. Need to find a solution. i.e. new UCA and Spacer; 3" spinal, UCA adn spacer; lower to 2" and keep stock UCA. Any help that y'all can provided would be appreciated.
  18. Was talking to a customs shop in my area and asked what they'd recommend for a leveling kit (parts + installation) for my 2014 Silverado 1500 LTZ Z71. They reached back out with a quote and said they would choose to install a set of Bilstein 5100 adjustable struts in the front, and that it would gain about 1.85" in the front. They quoted me $569 for everything including alignment, does that seem reasonable? Has anybody on here gone that route with a comparable pickup? All I've seen are 2 or 2.5" leveling kits, would 1.85" be enough to eliminate the factory rake as well as be able to fit 33's one day? If anyone has and could share before and after pictures, that would be great. Thank you
  19. Hey everyone - first post here and just bought a new-to-me 2014 Silverado 1500 LTZ Z71 all stock. This is also my first truck so I'm definitely a newbie and if I'm asking some simple questions I apologize, but I couldn't find the answers I was looking for on other topics. Basically, what I'd like to do is level my pickup. I thought about doing maybe a small lift but I don't really want to fork out the money and I think the leveled Chevy looks just fine. Any recommendations for this? Seen people put on 2 or 2 1/2" level kits - difference between my wheel well heights is pretty much exactly 2 inches. The other thing that I'm having more difficulty making sense of is a wheel and tire combo. Currently, I've got P265/65/R18 on it. What I'd like to do is get a bit more rugged look while also getting more ground clearance for a bit of offroading, and hopefully not affecting fuel economy and ride quality too much, but I understand you gotta sacrifice somewhere. What I'm having trouble understanding is if I should get larger wheels or taller tires to achieve the ground clearance part. I've read that getting larger wheels can mess with your speedometer and such. Any advice on if I should stick with my 18's right now, and if I end up buying new wheels one day should I also stick with 18's then? If I went ahead and got my pickup leveled, which (or both) would help me get that better ground clearance? Increasing tires or wheels? What's the largest combo you'd recommend (with the level) that still prevents rubbing? Definitely want to get that rugged look but I haven't been able to determine which route to chase down, as the options seem limitless out there for what you can do. Could I just get bigger, more rugged, maybe wider tires to put on my stock 18's? Thanks in advance to anyone willing to give a newbie some advice.
  20. Hey all, I wanted to share my experience running 34.25in 295/70R18 tires on leveled truck. Feel free to let me know if I should have just posted this under another thread. My truck is a 2015, 1500, 5.3L, 3.42, CC, Bilsteins 5100 (Highest Setting), RC upper control arms (Old tube style), 3in Moto Fab rear blocks (+2in of lift), Rear Rancho RS7000 shocks, and a Tune. The Cooper Evolutions M/T tires have been great so far they were cheep $188 each Walmart, ride pretty good, and are great when things get soft. I would like to change to some better UCA but these have been at home in a box for 2 years so I figured on using them for now. Here are some pictures and yes the rear bump stops are removed as im making spacers. Just some poor iPhone pictures and yes my truck needs a bath.... Here are some pictures of the front right wheel compressed at full lock with the wheel tied. The mark on the sway bar is not from rubbing. I just brushed it when the shocks were installed. Here are some of the rear wheel compressed. The shocks still have about 2in more of compression but my extra rear springs are pretty stiff. I did have to bend the rear drivers side emergency brake line holder down some to provide slack when the rear flexes the other way. Some with the truck level and full lock. Front fender liner rear trimming needed.
  21. I have a 08 rwd sierra 1500. I am searching for all the parts needed to do a 2.5 level kit with the 3" spindle lift as well. I have all parts such as: 3" spindles Skyjacker shocks (have not bought yet in case I find better ones) Rear blocks with new U Bolts Rc 2.5" level kit ***what I am looking for now is the upper control arms. I have been looking everywhere for the "right" ones needed for awhile now and can't find them. The closest I have got were the Rough Country upper control arms for the 3" lift kit the sell. I talked to a representative on the phone and they weren't any help at all. Would those be the correct UCA's for the job? If anyone has done this lift or knows where I can buy them, please send me a link to the exact spot online where I can make the purchase. All help is greatly appreciated!
  22. Planning on leveling my 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 with the MotoFab front 3" and rear 2" leveling kit. Planning on fitting 33" inch tires on my truck after. Trying to decide if I want 18" wheel rims or 20" wheel rims.. so if you could post pics of your trucks that would be great. Thanks!
  23. Ok guys, this is my first GMC Sierra and its a 2020 1500 SLT 6.2l 4x4 crew cab. I want to get a little more height to go a little bigger on the tires. I have been researching and researching I think I will go coilovers when a good pair comes out, but everywhere I read, and I don't know if its just the generic answer they give, says with a 2"-3" level you can fit the "bigger sized" 33" tire. Well from what I can tell the 275/60/R20 that comes on my truck is a 33" tire. So where are they, or am I getting things all mixed up here. I would like to run the, 2"-3" level and put on the factory 20's a set of something like 285/60/R20 and that from what I can figure it about a 34" tire. Anyone have a leveling to 3" kit on there truck that they can give feedback as to what size tire you are running? Looking for your help as I am hoping to get this done relatively soon. Thanks in advance guys..Hope to get some good readings out of this.
  24. Hey everyone, I have been reading through the forum and was going to post this in the “leveling kit” thread but like a lot of questions that have been asked I didn’t want it to get lost in the 475+ pages. I have a 2017 Silverado 1500 4x4 LT. I have been putting off installing a leveling kit till I needed tires and the time has come. I’m looking at the Eibach Pro Truck Kit with Rough Country 2” rear blocks. After reading the leveling kit kit tread I’m a little confused. I have the stock 20” High Country wheels on my truck and really like them. Can I go to a 275/60/20 or larger tire? I don’t want to do a leveling kit if I can’t get a larger tire ti fit and the rim rubs the upper control arm. Thanks for for all your help in advance.
  25. I just ordered a Rough Country leveling kit for my 2019 Silverado. I know I can install it myself but will I need an alignment? Has anyone actually installed one of these on a 2019? Did it throw the alignment off? Was just curious if I should spend the money getting an alignment or not. Thanks in advanced. I have a newer body style 2019 if it makes a difference.
