  1. Hey all, I just purchased an Eibach Pro truck kit with springs for my 2017 . So I will be leveling out my truck to at least 2.5inches. I am wanting to get some UCAs to go with it and do it all in one go and have the angles in check. I am looking at: Freedom Offroad Kryptonite Cognito I really like the Kryptonite/Cognito since they use the bolt in balljoint. I want to stick with regular balljoints instead of the uniballs and something ~500 bucks or under. Any other brands I should look at? Currently Im not sure what type of gm UCAs I have. Is there anything else I should look out for? I will be running stock 17in rims for awhile before new wheels/tires are in the budget. Thanks in advance
  2. I'm wanting to upgrade my wheel and tire's on my 2022 Silverado Z71 Duramax. I've given it some thought and I don't want to go much beyond what's been factory options (33's). My stock tire's are the 275/60R20's. I've settled on these two tire sizes for the time being and would like some input from the community. The 305/65R18 does seem to be flirting with control arm clearance as I've read that my stock setup may even come into conflict with certain aftermarket UCA's (Camburg billet). I've attached some screen shots of an offset calculator that I've been using for comparisons. The aftermarket wheels I'm looking at for this setup do have less positive offset and there for the tire is less than a 1/4" closer to the UCA. I've measured my stock setup and it seems as though this would work as I currently seem to have at least a 1/2" to 3/4". Maybe my bigger concern is the added 1" added outside? I would like to retain the factory mudflaps and wheel well liner. Any experience with running this setup or information about clearance's would be helpful. I've also thought about running a 17" wheel as I really like the look of tall sidewalls. My other thought is to run a 285/75R17 on a 17" rim with a 0 offset. This would definitely help with any potential control arm issue's but it would cause the tire to stick out about 1 1/4" from stock sizing. Would this cause any clearance issue's? This may be my preferred combo, due to the taller sidewall and plenty of control arm clearance. Any input is appreciated. I do plan on leveling the truck. My current thought is 5100's or Fox2.0 IFP. Do I need to know anything about these working on a Duramax? Thanks for your time. PS...I've attached a screen shot of the two tire sizes in question as compared to one another. I would also be able to run the tires I’m wanting with a “C” load rating at 305/65 vs an “E” rating on the 285’s. Would this be helpful with dampening the harsher ride from the 5100’s?
  3. Good morning everyone, I recently purchased a 2018 GMC Sierra Crew Cab SLT All-Terrain package. I'm personally wanting to install a leveling kit and I believe I've selected one. I've read a lot about leveling kits for 2017-18 trucks and this seems like a great kit. However, there isn't many reviews on this product by ReadyLift. The appeal of this lift is the UCA replacements and the <2" height it allows. I'm wanting to go with 305/55/20 or 285/60/20 tires with my stock AT wheels and I want as much clearance possible. I found maybe 2-3 members on here with this lift and I'll quote them below. My question is, will this work with my All-Terrain package? In the description of the kit it states, "Will not work on Z71 packaged vehicles with factory Rancho® struts." Yet on ReadyLift's website, there is nothing supporting that statement. Does anyone have any information or review for this kit? Thanks!
  4. Selling a brand new set of Baja Kits boxed upper control arms. I sold my 2016 1500 for a Duramax so these never got put on my truck. They are $899 brand new, im asking $700 spilt the shipping. They fit 14-18 silverado / sierra 1500 with factory aluminum upper control arms, and fit 16-18 silverado 1500 with factory stamped steel upper control arms. NEED GONE!!!!!
  5. I have a 2014 Denali and I currently have the ride height adjustable bilsteins shocks and they don't lift the truck enough to actually level it and I am wanting something with better performance. I want a coilover that gives 2.5-3" of front lift and upper control arms. I am looking at the icon, King, fox and Baja kits but I want to run my stock 20" rims. Does anyone have any input on what kit they went with, how it rides and if it can run stock rims? Any input is greatly appreciated!!
  6. For sale New body style extended travel upper control arm slightly used maybe 3lk miles retails $900 $575 part#78620DJ
  7. New to the forum, first time posting. I have a 2017 1500 Silverado LT, 3-inch MotoFab leveling kit, wheels are Chevy stock CV32, 20x9, 28mm offset, 6.1 inch backspacing, have installed a 1/4 inch wheel spacer. The 1/4 inch (6.35mm) spacer was installed to stop rubbing of the stock Stamped UCA. Tires are 275/60/20. I'm what to install a new UCA that corrects the UCA ball joint angle. Problem is, ll the UCAs I've looked at require 4.5 inch backspace or less. Need to find a solution. i.e. new UCA and Spacer; 3" spinal, UCA adn spacer; lower to 2" and keep stock UCA. Any help that y'all can provided would be appreciated.
  8. Hi guys I recently put a leveling kit on my truck and was wondering if it would stress the ucas?? Ive heard alot about them being stressed i drive a 2018 and it has a 2 inch leveling kit so what kind of ucas would best work for me ?? If i do need to replace
  9. I decided to go full long travel on the truck so I no longer have any use for these 1.25in Camburg Racing upper control arms for the 07-18 Silverados. Less than 5,000 miles on them. Asking $500 + Shipping to you.
  10. I have a 2014 GMC Sierra 4x4 Crew Cab with the standard bed. I have the Rancho Quick-Lift front struts for the front that level the front about 2-1/4". I am looking at adding an additional 1" of lift front and rear. The rear will be either blocks or an add-a-leaf kit. The front will be done with strut spacers while also adding Upper Control Arms and a 3/4" differential drop kit to keep the upper ball joints and CV joints within factory specs. I am looking for something to help with the lower control arms, steering links, and sway bar end links or drop brackets to keep the rest of the suspension geometry in alignment. Does anyone have any sources for any of these components besides fabricating them?
  11. I have researched the 3 different types of control arms for the 14-18 trucks. I know the stamped steel Upper Control Arms do NOT have any support/retention for the upper ball joints should (when) they fail. But, do the stamped steel lower control arms also not have any retention/support for the ball joints to hold them in when they fail?
  12. 4x18 inch Chevy wheels $300 plus shipping UCAs replac stamped steel and aluminum oem UCAs 2014-2018 have about 100 miles. SOLD. Stuff is just sitting in my garage need it gone. Located in Texas.
  13. Lifting 4 inches. Cast steel, aluminum, or stamped steel upper control arms?
  14. Got the Fox 2.5's and the Cognito UCA's installed. Wanted to post this since I had a hard time finding good information about it myself. I have the aluminum stock upper and lower control arms so everyone made it seem you could only get so much lift out of those. Not true. I got the Cognito part specifically for the aluminum UCA's. From my understanding, the difference between aluminum and steel UCA's is the length of the bushings and bolts that connect the UCA to the frame. I mounted the ball joints underneath the control arm and have had great results. The shocks I have are the 2.5 Factory series Coil-over IFP. The ride is amazing, it looks great, and I am shopping for the rear shocks now... Definitely the correct way to do a leveling kit, well worth the cost. Fox # 883-02-028 adjustable 0-3" Cognito # UCAK100045
  15. Stock aluminum upper control arms and rancho coil over shocks off of my 2015 z71 sierra. Make me an offer. Would like to sell together but will sell shocks and arms separately. They have 25,000 miles on them.
