  1. Currently running Atturo Trail blade XTs - Nice looking tire, a bit loud and showing signs of what looks like dry rotting after 2 years. I want to get a new set of all terrains or hybrids but not looking for a mud tire on the stock 22" snowflakes. Leveled and running spacers. Open Country A/T III is my first choice, followed by the Cooper Discoverer Rugged Trek. Size wise, I would go for a 33x12.5x22 or a little smaller (285x45 r22). Any other options out there I should consider? Please post pics if you have a nice looking A/T tire setup on 22s. 2019 sierra 1500 SLT
  2. Has anyone taken off the roll bar of a All-Terrain X and re-wired the 3rd brake light??? Love the truck, didn't like the roll bar, want my 3rd brake light to work Thanks!!!
  3. So up until yesterday the truck was driving relatively smoothly, there was the occasional hard shift from 1st to 2nd (which I believe these trucks are known for). I stopped at a stop light yesterday and started going and then at about 20 MPH the truck decided it didnt want to shift. This happened a few times throughout the day and seemed to get worse as the day went on and at this point it now does it every time it gets down into the lower gears. I switched to manual to see what gear it was stuck in and it showed 2nd and then 3rd after it shifted and didnt want to shift up. EDIT: Transmission temps when I was looking did not appear to get above 205 F, Fluid is red like it should be, level seems fine. Is there a known issue with these transmissions or an easy fix I can attempt? Transmissions are voodoo to me
  4. Looking to buy a new set of all terrain tires for my 2016 Silverado (3.5 inch suspension lift). Have many mixed reviews regarding which tires to go with. I am looking for somewhat aggressive look that will hold up well in city usage, and most importantly are quiet on the highway. Looking to run 33's on 20x10 -25 mm offset aftermarket wheels (purchasing a wheel and tire package thats why the wheels are not in the picture) . All opinions and suggestions are appreciated!
  5. 2019 GMC Canyon all terrain bought in July 2019 with 12000km on it has clicking noise in drivers side between doors around seat belt adjuster (B- pillar area). Had the truck to two separate dealerships 7 times altogether with no success after the dealer trying different things including: 1.Replaced rear side door arm rest cover trim 2.Center pillar upper trim panel replaced 3.Replaced clips in door 4.Replaced power door lock actuator (which was very loose according to them) 5.Replaced all door weather striping. Not something you would expect from a new truck. Any ideas what this could be?
  6. 2017 sierra A/T crew cab I have the most annoying tick noise over bumps, coming from the b pillar behind my left ear and it is driving me brick house, I've pulled at the trim off put my hands on everything made sure everything is tight, stuff rags in between contact points, I've run out of ideas, anyone have an guidance for me, I'm a ex gm technician of 5 years , I know what I'm doing but of course my own truck baffles me..per usual any new bulletins or tsbs?
  7. Truck drives fine but obviously it isn’t good. Haven’t noticed any oil puddles on the floor or any big leaking. What you guys think it can be? Here’s a pic.
  8. Just bought a 2014 sierra 4x4 and ordered the 2" kit to level it out. On rough country's website they say that this kit only allows for up to a 32" tire, and I am looking to put 33s. I am new to GM, what's the biggest tires that I can fit?
  9. Anyone running a 6.5" Lift with 35's OR a 4.5" lift? Anyone have measurements? Wheel well, roof, front/rear bumper? I haven't seen many people discussing their overall heights.
  10. Hey guys I know there are threads out there for it but I have looked and can't seem to narrow it down. I currently have a 2016 GMC Sierra All Terrain leveled 2.5". I am looking at upgrading to a Zone 4.5" and running bigger tires on my stock 20" All Terrain wheels. The question I have though is about the shocks. I want to upgrade my shocks right now, looking at the bilsteins. But my question is if I bought the bilstein (5100's) would I be able to run those on the 2.5" level and the 4.5" lift? I appreciate any help and information! Pictures or experience with either setup or future setup is helpful as well!
  11. On Sunday March 8th I was driving my Sierra home from my parents-in law. I pulled out from a stop sign and was just getting up to speed when there was a loud bang followed by loss of power, Loud ticking noise, vibrations and a sulfur smell coming from the exhaust. I knew this was lifters instantly as it Happened to me in August of 2018, a short 11,000 miles ago. So, I took it in to my dealer who ran diagnostics and gave me the news That I would need lifters replaced yet again. Unfortunately, my power train warranty ran out December of 2019, so they told me I would owe a balance of $2900+ tax. Of course I was very upset with this news as I would have imagined the dealer would talk to GM and get this issue sorted out.. I mean it was only a few months over a year and less than 11,000 miles since they replacedall of the lifters and the cam shaft. I contacted GM myself and over the course of the last week have been working with the dealer and trying to talk to someone at GM who could help. Finally I reached a “senior analyst” who is apparently the top tier of customer assistance and she told me there was absolutely nothing they can do and I am responsible for the entire bill. I insisted that GM must know about the issues this engine has By now and should acknowledge and help their clients, but she offered no help. How can I trust this engine again? I have read many posts people have put on this forum alone with this issue of failing lifters. How can anyone be expected to pay this much for an issue that is derived likely from GMs design of the afm system? Especially after we pay $50,000+ for the truck to begin with! I do not pretend to be an Mechanical or financial expert, but I feel I have been severely wronged in this situation. I have no choice but to eat this cost and sell the truck before the lifters have a chance to fail again. I would suggest anyone doing research considering buying one of these trucks (I believe Sierra and Silverado 14-18 at least) that has the active fuel management system to rethink it. I would also go out on a limb and suggest my friends with 14-15 year Silverado and Sierras (with expired powertrain warranty’s) to consider selling them before the lifters fail on yours and you are stuck with a $3000-$5000 bill. Good luck all.
  12. Folks, In my 2014 GMC Sierra AllTerrain model the compass display in the DIC, which displays just to the left of the cruise control indicator, no longer shows up. It just went away, I’m not sure exactly when, but, sometime in the last 8 months or so. I recall that over the last several months it seemed that the compass would sometimes be there, sometimes not. Now it is not there at all. That little digital compass can be handy in some places! I spent 2.5 hours at the GMC dealer and one of their best techs looking over everything in this truck. There are no codes indicating a failure in any components in the truck. He updated all of the software modules, which had some updates/patches due, checked that the truck was receiving GPS signal (it is...), checked all of the functions of the DIC and infotainment center and found nothing wrong or anything to correct this. He finally took an educated guess that maybe because my OnStar had expired (I let it lapse, didn’t want to pay for it...) maybe that was affecting the DIC compass display. Then I went through the interactions to reactivate my OnStar account to see if that would have any effect, no effect, the DIC compass still does not work. At some point in my calls I ended up speaking to the the GM Infotainment Level 1 tech support about this issue and, while they tried to be helpful, what they could add was that from what they know of the DIC compass it has nothing to do with OnStar and should not be affected by OnStar being active or not, nor does the DIC compass get updated by GPS. But, they were not really clear on how that compass works. Anyone have any ideas?
  13. 2016-2018 GMC Sierra Elevation grille that's been professionally painted black. This is a brand new OEM grille. I bought it from a member on here, but also decided to go with a different grille. The grille itself looks fantastic, the only reason for going with another grille is I have seen another truck identical to mine with the same grille, and I want to have something different... $500 shipped. Only asking what I paid for it. Current location: 54016 Thanks!
  14. **SOLD** 2016-2018 GMC Sierra Elevation grille that's been professionally painted black. This is a brand new OEM grille. I ordered it and decided to go with a different style grille, absolutely nothing wrong with this grille. Shipping to continental US is free, local pick-up near St Louis MO. Price is $500.
  15. I have a 2014 GMC Sierra SLE and just put in a 2" Leveling kit. My truck came with BFG Wranglers 265/65/18 and I wanted to upgrade to BFG All Terrain TA KO 275/70/18. The problem is they only come in 10ply. I have heard with the new suspension you wouldn't really notice the difference but how rough would the 10 ply be?
  16. I was just curious if anyone had any recommendations or outlooks on leveling and bigger tires. I saw someone running a 2.5” level with 305/55/20 BF Goodrich KO2’s. Was thinking about heading down the same path. Hoping I can get a level with some 33’s with no trimming. Has anyone else done this setup or have any recommendations or pictures? Also how are the rides with a level? I have heard they get stiffer once leveled.
  17. Selling my personal truck this spring as it just sits and never gets used now that I drive a company truck. Hate to see it go as I love the truck but It just doesn't make sense to keep it. 18. Hey guys, just wondering if anyone on here has swapped clusters in Canada. Thinking about doing this and have read lots of threads about it on this Forum, however couldn't find anything really about the guys who have done it in Canada ( where to purchase other than dealer, where they had them programmed, clusters in KM/H etc etc ). The denali style cluster would be going into a 2017 GMC Sierra with the blue backlighting. Thanks!

  22. Here is my 2017 GMC Sierra 1500 All Terrain - Crimson Red Tintcoat build. Bought the truck mid August of 2017 with 40 miles on it. I just broke 23,000 miles this week. Needless to say it's my daily driver. Since I'm new to the forum, I've already done a lot of work to the truck in the year I've owned it. I will list all the mods done so far. If anyone has questions or would like pictures of the mods with explanations, I will try to provide as much information as I can. 23. I have a set of Toyo Open Country AT2 Extreme 305/55r20 essentially the same as 33x12.5x20 10ply tires for sale. They have approximately 8k miles on them and are in great shape. Tires even have the needles still on them. I changed my wheel setup and the tires wont work with the new setup. Im located in Fort Gordon, GA and will deliver within a reasonable distance. They cost me over 1400 new looking to get 1100 obo. Tires have no plugs, patches, etc.
  24. Hey guys, I know this topic has probably been beat to death, but I was hoping to take it a little further. I have a 2015 Black Sierra Crew Cab with a 2" level. I'm going to be getting the BFG AT KO2's soon, and am trying to decide between the 275/60/r20 and the 275/65/r20. I think the 60's are 33" tires and the 65's are 34" tires, both with 10.8" width. I understand that both will fit fine. I would be very grateful if some of the guys running these tires/sizes (or even other tires) would be able to post some pics on this thread for comparison. I've seen some great looking trucks with those tires but can't decide between the two!
  25. I purchased a new 2016 gmc all terrain x in October 2016. I was watching a few YouTube videos of other guys all terrain X's and noticed a different exhaust. After looking at mine closer I think my dealership left the stock exhaust on instead of the upgraded performance exhaust. It looks like the stock exhaust is part #20757703 and the performance is 23442234. Can anyone verify? Any thoughts on how to approach this with the dealership since it's almost been two years since I bought the truck?
