2015 chevy 1500.. 3400 miles. A couple of times the heat didn't work. It always did "next time".. the other day I had to take a 3 hour drive.. it didn't work the whole way there...stopped for an hour..headed back still with no heat (it was 42* so it was not pleasant) Took to dealer - they said they cant find anything wrong, of course, and of course the he was working fine. Its only done this a couple of times in the past 2 months now. Anyone experienced anything similar? It blows out air, and it will adjust the fan speed properly (or what I'm guessing WOULD be properly if it was blowing out heat) based on the temp of the cab. Even when taken off of auto and just turned temp to hi and fan speed up, with AC button off, it was still blowing cold air. Any ideas? Could it somehow be user error? (doubtful) Also when the AC button is on, even when its on heat, is the AC really still running? seems dumb that lights always on even when you have the temp high and its blowing heat.

Hey everyone, So i just purchased my first Silverado used and immediately the gf and I notice a high frequency noise. The truck is a 2016 LT and when I test drove the truck we noticed nothing odd. after the salesman gave me a rundown on everything and how it works. He then put the truck in 4x4 auto and was explaining the 4x4 stuff and then onto onstar. We left the dealership and immediately turned around and asked for him to hop in. He witnessed the noise and scheduled service to fix the problem. They gave me a bulletin for the transfer case and claim that is the noise when the transfer case is running. it sounds like a high frequency electrical noise. I have tried searching the forums and internet with no luck. I'm ready to try and just purchase a new switch and see if that solves the problem. any thoughts or advice would be great. When I put the vehicle in 2H I get zero noise from switch, when its in 4Auto or 4x4 then you can here the noise come and go randomly.

Well, I was just reading an article/post about push button 4wd. I was thinking I was pretty smart for getting the manual shift transfer case. I should have paid more attention to the poster who said auto locking hubs are still a week point. Now we are stuck on the side of the road waiting for a tow truck. The hubs went from squeal to grind in about 20-30 miles on the way back from Glacier National Park, an easy fix if I was home. So this is just a heads up if you're close to 150k miles & curious, auto locking hubs cost about a grand to replace. Manual conversion kits can be had for under $2k. Wish I had done more PM.

I apologize, I'm 56 years old and not sure to the dynamics or protocol of a form. I have a 2017 Silverado and discovered today that it is possible to roll down all the windows from the key fob. I regularly in the summer park my car with the windows cracked an 1" to 4"s to help let the heat in the car vent out. I'm surprised that cars don't have the feature to leave the windows cracked and as soon as the car detects rain falling automatically rolling up the windows without the owner needing to do anything. My question, Is there away to roll up the windows by app or key fob if I see it start raining?

Just wondering how to adjust presets for auto start. Heat comes on every time I use auto start and would like it to stay off until I turn it on. Any help is appreciated.
