  1. I’m really debating on punching out my cat and running a straight pipe through it. My truck puffs out a cloud of white smoke when I dump it and I can tell a loss of power. Has anyone straight piped a 6.0? What are the pros and cons of doing it on a 2006 I’ve always done it to my older pickups but I’m not sure how it will affect this one
  2. A few months ago I installed a set of Texas Speed and Performance long tube headers and the catted y pipe they offer. Some then ive noticed the front of the transmission pan leaks a little bit. The bolt heads have trans fluid on them all the time and every now and then it drips onto the exhaust and I can smell it. I believe this is due to the heat from the catalytic converter that is positioned directly below the trans pan. I haven’t noticed any higher trans temperature and the fluid level of the trans hasn’t gotten low so it not a bad leak, just an annoying smell mostly. I’m trying to decide what to do and I thought I’d get y’alls opinion. I was thinking about making a heat shield to go between the cat and the trans pan. or maybe just tightening the bolts on the trans pan, if I remember correctly the torque spec on those is pretty low and the added heat from the cat might be enough to make it leak. Thanks for any input.
  3. American Racing Headers Part number :GM62-14178300LSWC GM Truck 6.2L 2014-2019 Long System These have 150 miles on them. Like new! Cost $1,775 new. Passing a smoking deal on to you. Comes with all components originally sold as a kit from American Racing. ARH long tube headers long system for the 2014-2016 Chevy/GM Truck 6.2L features 304 stainless steel, 1-7/8" primaries, 3" merge collectors, and all the necessary hardware and gaskets for a bolt-on installation. The 2014 & Up GM Truck 6.2L ARH long systems were designed to bolt-on to your factory axle-back or any aftermarket axle-back. Some modification may be required. 4. Anyone have any recommendation on how I can keep neighborhood cats off the hood of my truck? I tried the cayenne pepper method and it didn't keep him (them) away. I know they like to hang out on the hood because it's warm and the high vantage point they get. I've got nothing against cats, but I don't want them laying on the hood of the truck leaving small scratches on my black truck. Thanks!
