  1. Hi. I bought a new 2021 AT4 March 5. 20 miles on it. Drove home from the dealer (4 miles) and the next time I turned it on, CEL and OnStar diagnostics emails me to take it to the service department. They say they reset MAP sensor and send me on my way. Later that day, same thing happens. I take it back in, they say MAP sensory needs replacing. They had it almost 2 weeks waiting on the part. After they replaced it, everything went fine for about 1200 miles and then I get blinking CEL for about 30 seconds then it stops. Next day, blinking CEL for a minute or so, and then it turns solid. I took it back to the dealer and they say the only code pulled was P0300 misfire. They have no idea what’s causing it, and quite frankly I’m pretty fed up at this point. They’ve had my new truck longer than I have in the month I’ve owned it. Has anyone had something similar happen?
  2. Currently have my 2020 Gmc sierra 1500 with a build date of 09/2019 at the dealer with 2kmiles on it. Battery was dead one morning. After jump starting had check engine light and brake antilock system issue sent to my email. Truck would not hold a charge after leaving it on for a good 30 min. Its been at the dealer for 3days now.
  3. I purchased a 2021 Silverado Crew Cab High Country 4WD about 4 months ago from Watson Chevrolet in Tucson Arizona. Within week of driving the truck I began noticing some pretty strange sporadic things happening. I started video taping the issues when I could to document what was happening. Ticking noise coming from the engine when cold starting, sporadically have hourglass on stereo saying “loading” it would continue until the engine was turned off and back on then it was OK. “Park Assist” Error message sporadically popping up while driving down the road, Horn honking (three short honks) for no reason while sitting in traffic at a red light. At 900 miles I reached out to the dealer and told them these concerns and issues I was experiencing. The service manager explain to me “the truck has a lot of technology and it just needs to learn your driving habits, you just need to keep driving it” At 11,000 and 3 months after purchasing I get the loud lifter noise, “Service parking brake”message, “steering assist reduced” message, “Service ESC light” and “check engine light” I drove it into the other dealership located in Tucson (O’Reilly Chevrolet), they keep the truck for about three weeks and “replace lifters on one bank and 1 bent push rod” and tell me that they couldn’t duplicate any of the other issues however they did a firmware upgrade and everything should be fine. One week after getting the truck back (11500 miles) I get another check engine light, Keep in mind I can still hear the lifters ticking when starting it first thing in the morning. I take back to the dealer after a week of a being in the shop, They tell me “The check engine light was because there was multiple cylinder misfire and it was the opposite bank from the lifters they replaced” however they can’t duplicate the problem so there’s nothing they can do. They admitted that the computer had logged over 200 misfires on one cylinder and that’s what made the check engine light turned on, then they go on to tell me they can’t duplicate the problem so there’s nothing they can do. I asked them about the ticking noise when starting and the tell me “that’s normal, it’s not lifter noise you’re hearing, it’s the new technology fuel pumps GM is using that’s making that noise” Other issue I have had is the rotors on all four wheels at times will turn blue and discolored as if the brakes and her have been completely overheated. But it’s not the entire rotor It’s only the center inch of all rotors. The inside edge and outside edges look normal. I have a purchased over 11 band new (Ford, Chevy, Dodge, Toyota) Trucks in the past 30 years this is by far the worst freaking vehicle I have ever purchased.
  4. I have a 2016 Chevy Tahoe 105,000 miles. Twice last week a few days apart my check engine light began flashing about 15-20 minutes into my commute and turned off within about 1-2 minutes both times. My spark plugs were replaced at 97,576 miles last October at the dealership and the coils, boots, etc, were inspected . I’ve been told that putting a tank of high quality supreme grade gas could help the problem. Has anyone else had this issue?
  5. Hey there! I am in dire need of help. I have been having the SAME issue with my truck for over half a year. My first problem started in January when I noticed my check engine light came on. After two days it went off on its own...then when I was driving on the interstate, my truck started to jerk and the RPM's would jump and just stay there for a while and the truck would not be going any faster, instead it was like breaks were being applied...when they were not. I took it in to the dealer ( Ive since read that that was a dumb idea..) they said that it was just my pedal position sensor (PPS) and they re-calibrated it... A week goes by and I noticed that my check engine lights came on and then went off within a day. On my way home on a flat part of the interstate, a grade break light came on to let me know it had started the assist...which was weird bc I was accelerating on the interstate. Then the RPM's did the same thing as before. I took it in a second time and they just replaced the PPS. This worked I think for less than a month. Then the SAME thing happens, Check engine comes on, Grade Break randomly comes on, RPM's jerk. Take it in for the 3rd time and they say its a wire... SO they replace a random wire...This fixes it for another week. THEN THE SAME THING HAPPENS AGAIN... FINALLLY they say its the torque converted and a pump and that it'll be 5K.... I had already spent over 1k ALREADY. I ended up taking it to a transmission shop because I can't play this game every time. I thought maybe they were just doing something wrong and misdiagnosed it a couple times... but then after a month of having my transmission fixed the check engine light went back on. This time I had time to take it the same day to autozone to get the codes read. It threw out the code P057C three times...this apparently has something to do with the PPS. I took it back to the dealer since they said they would fix it for free if it was the part they previously fixed. The dealership said that the PPS was shot and they had to put in another new one but that they didn't know why it went bad. A week goes by and my grade breaks came on again today randomly and the RPMS are starting to jump again. Has anyone had this problem or head of anyone having this problem?? Thank you in advance!
  6. How do I retrieve check engine code without scanner on 2019 silverado. My old dodge I could turn the ignition key several times to get check engine light codes. My new silverado is push button? Any help is appreciated.
  7. Hi! In April, my Yukon was throwing codes P0172 P0175. Local GMC dealer in Louisiana "fixed", by replacing some sensor. Traveled to PA, codes came back on. Local GMC dealer fixed by replacing BCM, body control module in June. Now my check engine light is back on! Power train Warranty ran out 2-3 weeks ago. Also had extended warranty, which also ran out at 5 years, which was Sept. Code onstar says its throwing now is P0430, all of the codes from I can find are related to exhaust system. My question is are these 3 codes related??? Could this be something they will have to fix under warranty, given it's related and has been worked on several times? If not, what does this mean? Catalytic converter bad? Help! My husband is being laid off in the next week. So, obviously finances are tight. Yes, obviously itll be fixed regardless, just trying to plan and cut back elsewhere if needed. This has been a great vehicle! As luck has it, trouble starts when warranty runs out. Really wanting to trade, but waiting on new body Adding mileage if matters, 91K
