Well my 2014 GMC Sierra (purchased new) with less than 30,000 miles showed a Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL - Engine Symbol Light) on dash last Wed - May 8th. I called OnStar and received the report via e-mail below - Code P050D. Truck ran fine. Scheduled truck into the dealer for Fri morn May 10th. Dealer kept truck until around noon the next Day to make certain code did not reappear on cold start. I picked up my truck and no problems since the P050D. Here is some of the repair receipt: #1 - 3202: Engine Repair Installed laptop and was unable to duplicate concern at this time. Tech tested and test drove several times and was not able to duplicate. Advised customer to return if concern returns. No repairs were made at this time. $85.00 plus tax. Is this it for diagnostics? Seems to me like the tech cleared the code - drove the truck - no code - calls it good. Drove truck yesterday on a 60 mile 90 percent highway trip and mileage on dash showed 19.2. Here are the results of your recent On-Demand Diagnostic request on your 2014 GMC Sierra. Hey Guys, I have an 02 Silverado 1500 4WD with a code P0443 (and a P0171, but I don't know that those are connected). However for now I am working on the P0443 code, Purge Valve Solenoid Circuit? What I have done thus far: 1) Bought a new Purge Valve Solenoid, check engine light w/ code still on after clearing codes. 2) I tested the old and new solenoid with a power probe and blowing through to make sure it is engaging. ie. air can flow through with now power, but after power probe initiates the valve shuts and can no longer allow air to go through purge valve solenoid. 3) Attempted to test if power was going through to the plug going to the purge valve solenoid, appeared to be getting 12.3v. I'll admit I'm not electrical savvy, but I seemed to get voltage to the plug when the key was turned to "on" position. Thanks, what else can I look at, or re look over?

Does anyone know if there are RPO codes signifying a Sierra is an Elevation Edition? My 2015 doesn't have the Elevation emblems on it. Anything else Thanks

Silverado PO449 Check Engine Help!!
Dave Wybierala posted a topic in 2000-2014 Silverado & Sierra HD
Hello all! Im new to the whole forum thing but at this point, ive become desperate. I have a 2008 silverado 2500hd gasser. i bought the truck maybe a year and a half ago and it has had a check engine light since the day i bought it, never really bothered me much and i just cleared the code temporarily to get it inspected in NJ. the problem hasn't become any worse. its just now becoming more and more of a hassle as the weather cools down. I have the code PO449 the truck also leaks a good amount of gas when you fill it up. maybe a cup? it leaks from the top of the tank and runs down both sides of the tank Ive read up on the code and many people blame either the gas cap, or the purge solenoid, or the evap valve or something like that. i replaced this part http://www.partsgeek.com/vrwkl6g-chevrolet-silverado-1500-vapor-canister-vent-solenoid.html?utm_source=nextag&utm_medium=pf&utm_content=dc&utm_campaign=PartsGeek+Nextag&fp=pp&utm_term=Chevrolet+Vapor+Canister+Vent+Solenoid in doing so, i ripped one of the lines going into the canister. the leak continued so i tried to RTV the hole that was caused, seemed to adhere just fine. (Let me also mention, the truck was totaled before i bought it and then was reconstructed. rear end accident. everything looks good now but I'm sure thats what caused this whole thing) so the Vapor Canister Vent Solonoid didn't fix the issue. i then decided i should try to lift the bed and look at the top of the tank, maybe find where this is coming from. the nuts that are welded onto the frame that the bed then bolts to are rusted and one snapped off, so for now, getting the bed off is kinda out of the question. i have to freeze frame shots of my system from when the Check engine light was triggered. please take a look and help me if you can, id really appreciate any help at this point. Thank you do much -
Would anyone happen to know of a resource or way to find the paint code for a GM OEM accessory wheel? Specifically, the 22 inch 7 spoke SF1 rim that was released in 2014 and has been used on a lot of the upper trim Denali models. I am asking because I would like to get my line-x liner color matched to my rims. Here is a picture of the wheel in question:

I have my Motorola Droid Maxx paired up to my 2015 Sierra Denali. When my phone receives a text message it will sometimes show a bunch of random letters and symbols, and then the text message contents right at the end. Haven't been able to pinpoint what's happening, not sure if it's my phone or the Intellilink system. Anyone else have this issue or something similar? The code didn't match any know codes for GM, so I'm thinking it's related to my phone?
