Sorry for the poor video but figured I would post it. You can't just take the caps off the side mirrors like the K2's. You have to take the mirror out and the bezel around the mirror to access the clips that hold the cap on.- 54 replies

So my truck is Victory Red. And i have a red addiction so obviously all the Silverado "Blue" drives me crazy. Curious if anyone has swapped out the blue controls for red controls? I am even thinking the cluster if it can be done. I have found the, hvac, lights and 4x4 controls parts but not sure if the cluster could be done. I would be ok with just swapping the panel but I don't think its possible and I haven't found anyone doing custom ones. Also I have z71 and my cluster has z71 on it an I am not sure of the Sierra's have that on their cluster. Thoughts?

So I just purchased bushwacker fender flares for my 2018 Sierra and debating whether or not to keep them black or color match them. Money isn't an issue as my buddy owes me a favor and agreed to paint them at no charge but I just dont know which would look better.

Does anyone happen to have a recommendation on where I could take my truck to get the grille and bottom chrome (skid plate cover?) piece painted in the Houston area? I am looking to get my grille surround color-matched to my stock color (Mineral Metallic) as well as the mesh/honeycomb of the grille and the lower chrome piece both painted a satin black. I am hoping I can find a shop that can remove, paint, clear-coat and reinstall these pieces for a reasonable price. I also have the paint code (WA433B/GJB), so I could source the paint myself if it were to make it any cheaper. Does anyone happen to know how much of the Mineral Metallic paint it would take to paint the grille surround, and maybe the lower door mouldings as well?? I'm looking to do something similar to the picture of the red truck, however instead of color-matching the lower piece, I believe I'd go satin black with that as well. Thanks!

Recently got a 2016 Silverado LT Tungsten Metallic. Not a fan of the chrome on the front end. I have found posts about doing a color match, seems simple for the grill. However I don't know how I feel about attempting to remove the bezel on the headlights or open them up to remove the Amber and really don't want to spend the money on the LTZ assembly. I love the head lights. But I'm also a huge fan of some of the after market conversions for the 2015 models as well. Does anyone know if they would fit? Since it's the LT the bulbs are HID not LED so the light part isn't an issues. If they don't. Oh well. Next I was wondering if anyone on here has seen/ done a black front end (head lights/bumper/grill) with the tungsten Metallic. Pics would be appreciated. Also open to any other ideas -
Hey all, wanted to color match my silver 2017 Silverado LT. Not a fan of the chrome bumpers and grille/headlights. Anyone here have any experience with this project and/or suggestions. I’ve heard that wrapping is a long term way to go but also been told the opposite by other sources and told to paint.. thanks!

Hi - i am looking at color matching my bumpers to my black silverado - i have seen pictures of plasti dipped bumpers but i haven't read much on a vinyl wrap until recently - has anyone done the vinyl wrap? does it match better than plasti dip and glossifier? -
Hi everyone. Replacing my chrome OEM door handles and mirror caps with color matched. I acquired the Deep Ruby color matched door handles and mirror caps as well as the GM door spring tool. All went well with the handles with help from the door handle thread. I searched all over for help with the mirror caps and found only a couple of UTube videos for older trucks. They didn't help me much. Bottom line is, I can't get the chrome OEM covers off and need help. Every time I pry up, it sounds like I am breaking the mirror cover. And I don't want to scar the black fixture where cover attaches. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have significant chipping on the front bumper of my '15 Denali HD, and had an apparent grocery cart collide with my back bumper. Today, I went for an estimate to have the bumpers sprayed with Line-x, color-matched (Summit White). It would cost about $400 if they spray over the whole rear bumper, including the top cap and corner steps, or $700 to mask everything, and to stay with a stock look. I'm interested in opinions, and also any experiences other members have had with Line-x and similar products Also, any comments on price quote would be appreciated. I value the opinions here - thanks in advance.

I have a 2007 silverado and decided to go with a different accent color. Im powder coating the underneath teal and my chevy bowties are teal but I'm getting a lot of shit saying its a girl color... what do you guys think?
