So I was watching hockey last night and saw this new Silverado commercial, and one of the featured trucks caught my eye. I believe its a Trail Boss with the optional 22" wheels, but what color is this truck? IMO it looks to be Northsky Blue but it looks much brighter here than in the pics I have seen.

An example of the Streisand Effect - Beyonce used lawyers and threats attempting to remove this image from the internet. Instead, everyone saw it. Zane Merva Executive Editor & Publisher - GM-Trucks.com February 4th, 2019 Has General Motors ever heard of the Streisand Effect? Apparently not. The company sent a cease and desist letter to Unifor Canada (Candadan Automotive Union) demanding that they do not run their scheduled advertisement during the Super Bowl in Canada. Unifor ran it anyways. What commercial could be so bad that GM's lawyers would demand that it not be run? OHHHH. That kind of commercial. Looks like Canadians are PISSED and we don't blame them. GM as a company has moved to cut so many jobs, factories, and experienced personal in the last few years it's only natural there would be backlash. But if GM wouldn't have made such a big deal about trying to squash the ad most of the world probably wouldn't have even seen or heard about it. Maybe if GM hadn't trimmed their workforce so much, they'd have experienced lawyers that would have advised them this was a bad idea.

John Goreham Contributing Writer, GM-Trucks.com 5-9-2018 Following our recent post, “Own a Silverado? Have a Beard? Want to Be In a TV Commercial? Here’s Your Chance!,” the folks at Jigsaw casting in Toronto reached out to us to let us know that, somehow, the source we used for the casting call for Silverado owners had some bad information. Sylvia Lee from Jigsaw let us know today that Jigsaw is looking for Silverado owners, but the beard thing is not part of the required qualifications. Here is Jigsaw’s casting call info for those who might be interested. You can view the full details along with a direct link to Jigsaws post here: Jigsaw Casting Ltd. is seeking Silverado Owners from across Canada for a National Ad Campaign! Description We are seeking Canadian Individuals / Families who drive a Chevrolet Silverado for a TV & Online commercial! Does this sound like you or someone you know? Looking for: Silverado “Helpers” - Seeking individuals or families that have stories about using their Silverado to help out/give back to their communities or to a cause within Canada. Must own a Chevrolet Silverado. Examples of what we are looking for (But do not limit to just these): A) Driving across the province to another town to haul sandbags to prevent flooding. B) Hauling heavy equipment to aid with fighting forest fires. If selected, you will be compensated as a professional actor (+ travel, accommodation and meals) For your reference, here is a previous Chevrolet Campaign of this nature: Submission Deadline: May 11/18 (However the earlier you apply, the better your chances!)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k8tKtYXztzY The video hits on a lot of emotional levels. It's a virtual tip of the hat to the the Big Three (most of whom have been producing pickup trucks since before Nissan was ever founded). It also is a sly way for Nissan to read a hand out to current Silverado, Sierra, F-150 and Ram owners. "It's ok, we're just like you!" What do you think of this video? How will it resonate with current Chevy, Ford, and Ram owners?

Ed Peper, U.S. vice president of GM Fleet and Commercial sales, commented, saying. “Bringing medium-duty conventional cab trucks back into the portfolio strengthens Chevrolet’s commitment to providing commercial customers with more choices and one-stop shopping for a versatile lineup of trucks, vans and crossovers.” Navistar reports it will add 300 new employees to be ready for the new partnership and will invest $12 million in plant upgrades.
