Gaugign Headache Rack Interest
BigAlBuilds posted a topic in 2020-2024 Silverado HD & Sierra HD Mods
Hello, I recently built built a headache rack for my truck and then had a lot of interest regularly about it. The local dealer asked if I would build more, the powder coater asked the same, and I get regular interest on the street. I wanted something low pro so that I could still fit my truck camper without removing the headache rack. I have a background in welding fabrication for about 15 years and now work as an electrical engineer. My question is if I were to do a batch of 10-15 of these who would be interested. As of now I would target $1300 powdercoated and shipped but that may change as I dig deeper. One color and no mods. I really focused on it matching the lines of the truck well. It looks factory. Another note it's that my mounting approach requires no holes drilled into the bed. Made from 120 wall 2x3 and 1/4 angle so this thing is STOUT! I also think this should fit 1/2 ton trucks. anyways ask questions and I am happy to add any photo request. -BigAlBuilds -
I'm looking to do a full interior swap/update on my '99 silverado, don't know much about interior fabrication but i'm going to do what I have to in order to make it work. For now I plan on taking everything I can out of a part-out silverado from 2014 or newer and throwing it straight into my truck. If anybody has any tips or prior knowledge from a project of the same nature any help would be appreciated. From what I could find, not many people have documented this sort of thing on YouTube and the ones who have only show off the final product instead of the full process or steps they needed to take in order to get what I'm looking for.
