  1. Long story short, I think I need to buy springs but don't know which ones to select. RockAuto has 27 different "GM Genuine" coil springs for a 2017 GMC Sierra with 6.2L engine. I am wanting to match the spring rate of a 2017 GMC Sierra SLT CrewCab 4x4 6.2L. If someone has this exact truck, maybe they could post their RPO codes please? Or maybe, hopefully, someone has a better idea to get this info? The long story (if you care to read on) is I have the 2017 GMC Sierra Denali CrewCab 4x4 6.2L with MagneRide shocks & struts. The truck has just under 60K miles and the ride quality has degraded over time. I know at least 1 shock is bad due to it leaking, no codes have been thrown on the dash. Due to the mileage and the expense of the MagneRide shocks, I am pursuing replacing them all with conventional shocks and at the same time, getting my truck level. Several options on the market claiming great ride quality but I'm leaning towards the Bilstein 5100's that I've had on past trucks or the Eibach ProTruck kit E80-23-006-02-22 for $704 that sound great too but I'll need to buy strut mounts and deal with compressing those beasts (others have had issues). Or possibly the RoughCountry E2 loaded struts #501029 - inexpensive but not sure on ride quality + reliability or maybe even Fox 2.0's if I can find them for a good price. I would even consider the Belltech coilovers #15102 for $650 /pair if I could find someone running them with a positive review. If/since my MagneRide coil springs aren't the same/compatible, with some kits including the Bilsteins, I'll need to buy new springs, which isn't a huge deal since they aren't too expensive - some as low as $34. I know Eibach's kit comes with springs included but it appears they have a higher spring rate for trucks with extra weight on the front of their trucks. Of course, I'll need to deal with the MRC electronics, cheapest I've found is https://www.magdelete.com/collections/sierra-1500 and I may end up just getting the entire kit from him but don't know which springs are used with his either... It does make some sense that there are so many different GM Genuine coil springs due to there being 3 different engines available, 3 different cab sizes and 4 different trims... I do zero off-roading or towing and am just looking for a nice street ride with a leveled look. I welcome input on anything I've said but I'm mainly looking for the proper conventional OEM spring that will match best with my truck.

Found a lovely deal for a chevy 2016 - LT Z71 - V5.3 This is my first truck and looking to lift it. found a good price for Rough Country lift kit - 3.5 inch BILSTEIN 5100: https://psp.ae/product/bilstein-performance-shocks-15/ Rough Country KIT: https://www.roughcountry.com/gm-suspension-lift-kit-275-8.html Many people been complaining about how cheap the rough country shocks are, so I was thinking is it possible to install Bilstein 5100 shocks kit on this kit? or would they not fit into these? This way I would lift the truck + level it + have some what better shocks I thought about selling the Rough Country shocks instead Your thought and experience are much appreciated!
  3. Hi Everyone, I currently have a 4” BDS Lift without the DSC coilovers and I’m curious to find out if it’s worthwhile getting the the DSC coilovers. My shop quoted me at $1750 for coilovers and alignment to upgrade my current set up from the BDS struts to the fox coilovers. Now, my confusion is that my current setup rides quite well and I have no complaints (with BDS front struts) but when doing some basic research, it seems like people are speaking extremely highly of the coilovers for on-road and off-road performance. I am someone who spends 90% on road and as a result I haven’t felt a lack of performance from it, but I can’t help but be curious if it’s worthwhile in the long run. Just thought I’d get some opinions. Thanks in advance!

I have a 2014 Denali and I currently have the ride height adjustable bilsteins shocks and they don't lift the truck enough to actually level it and I am wanting something with better performance. I want a coilover that gives 2.5-3" of front lift and upper control arms. I am looking at the icon, King, fox and Baja kits but I want to run my stock 20" rims. Does anyone have any input on what kit they went with, how it rides and if it can run stock rims? Any input is greatly appreciated!!
  5. Who’s running these? Can’t find 1 review with the new Fox 2.0 front & rears installed on a ‘20 gmc or Sierra 1500. Sick of waiting on Bilsteins so lkg to install on a ‘20 gmc 1500 SLT X31. Front Coilover: 985-02-134 Rear shocks: 985-24-209
  6. I have 2016 LTZ Suburban with magride, I want to upgrade it because there are three things which I don't like: 1) It has air shocks suspension which is not good for long life. The balloons is starting to leak air on 40 K miles and then it break the compressor. 2) Other thing is that this shock has magfuel, but it is also not good for long life. It is starting to leak magfuel on 70-80k miles. 3) And the price is too high for this short service life. I want to upgrade them for a longer service life with the same or better ride characteristics. And my question is what do you recommend as a replacement OEM MRC?
  7. Im going to be installing fox 2.5 coilovers on my 2017 Silverado 4wd along with 35’s. I already know Im going to have rubbing issues Ill have to address. That being said, what exactly do I need to trim and also is a bumpstop necessary I feel like at full compression the tires will rub or damage something. Thanks in advance.
  8. Sold my 2015 Silverado a few weeks ago and bought a new GMC Sierra SLT with the z71 package and the 6.2L v8! Had the camper shell moved over and sold the Silverado to my dad. It's been a great change so far. Nicer interior so my wife and daughter enjoy it. It's much quieter with the active noise cancellation, and the thing just SCOOTS! My 5.3 that i had before was modded and would move pretty quick but this 6.2 just puts it TO SHAME. Installed an AFE Momentum GT Intake on it a few days ago and it's even better. Just cracked 1000 miles over the weekend and it's already better on gas mileage, ride quality and everything in between than the silverado was. Very excited for the modifications to come. Looking to add some fox coilovers to all 4 corners in the next week or so, which will level it out and lift the front end. Will then upgrade to 10 ply tires, probably a good bit taller than stock. (thinking about cooper at3 XLT's currently in probably 275/65R20 or 285/60R20) Then planning to put airbags on the back for towing. Still undecided on exhaust setup, but will plan to do that and probably tune it in the future as well. Anyways, heres a pic of the truck when i picked it up. i'll post some pics of the intake after installation as well.
  9. Got the Fox 2.5's and the Cognito UCA's installed. Wanted to post this since I had a hard time finding good information about it myself. I have the aluminum stock upper and lower control arms so everyone made it seem you could only get so much lift out of those. Not true. I got the Cognito part specifically for the aluminum UCA's. From my understanding, the difference between aluminum and steel UCA's is the length of the bushings and bolts that connect the UCA to the frame. I mounted the ball joints underneath the control arm and have had great results. The shocks I have are the 2.5 Factory series Coil-over IFP. The ride is amazing, it looks great, and I am shopping for the rear shocks now... Definitely the correct way to do a leveling kit, well worth the cost.   10. I'm looking to do a 6-7 inch suspension lift on my 2015 Silverado LTZ 4x4 Crew Cab. Up to this point I've had my mind set that the BDS 6.5in w/Fox 2.5 is the best for that type of kit, BUT for ~$1,000 less fabtech/dirt logic and rough country/vertex has a similar style offering. I've always been hesitant to ever consider RC because of the price/stories about rough ride/spacers. Never heard a first-hand account of this style of fabtech kit. BDS seems legit to me and complies with some safety standards, but I haven't talked to anyone about it either. Fabtech and RC making their own coilovers intrigues me but I'm not sure it's worth it to cut up my truck for one of those. Anybody experienced more than 1? Any bad experiences with any of them?
