  2. Similar to the 18" post, I want to see a thread with a 100% stock setup and what size tires you put on for 20" stock wheels only. This thread is not for leveling kits or aftermarket wheels. Post up some pictures! Let us know what size your tires are and what kind. I'm really only interested in doing very minor trimming if needed. My last truck I just had to zip tie the liner a little further back. Thanks! My current stock AT4
  3. It's never too early to start talking about the process of shopping around for a dealer, pricing, the ordering process, deposits, and production delivery times. Although we're still months away from orders being accepted, this thread is meant to be a place where everyone can check in and share their experiences as they go through the process. I'm also going to document as many important dates in this initial post as I can. I'll attempt to keep everyone up to date on start of production, any ordering limitations, and when the ordering system will go live. 4. I've been hearing a lot of horror stories about GM power steering doing some wacky things, is this something I need to look into or have I just been online too long? Hearing about power steering loss and sometimes electronic steering that randomly jerks while driving is quite frankly pretty scary especially when you're driving inches beside a semi truck on the highway. Is this something I need to worry about in my 2018 Silverado or is it just the one in a million trucks with this issue. Would appreciate some input on this. Thanks, Victor
  5. Has anyone had a rear compressor issue with a new Yukon XL Denali? My wife and I bought the vehicle at the beginning of October 2018 and within a month the rear compressor began running excessively. We took it into the dealership with bought it from and the service rep heard the noise but was unable to reproduce it later in the day with the technician so they sent us away with the vehicle. The noise became more and more regular so we took it to a dealership near our house and they heard it and acknowledged the problem, this lead them to replacing the rear compressor. The change of the rear compressor didn't do the trick and the excessive running persisted, this is where the frustration really set in. The service technicians were going to run diagnostics and service the vehicle after we brought it in MLK Day. The service department manager interrupted the process and essentially tried to bully my wife into accepting the fact that this is normal behavior for a GMC Denali line vehicle. She left the dealership in tears. I called the service manager in disagreement with 1) his treatment of my wife and 2) disputing the fact this is normal. His response was the discharge the video with a bogus report emphasize the vehicle was in intended working condition. Now the Denali is sitting at another dealership while they try to replicate the issue. It occurs 30-40% of the trips we take in the vehicle and the rear compressor will run anywhere from a few seconds to 20 minutes. Has anyone else had this issue and found a resolution? I'm to the point I'm almost willing to just sell the vehicle back for a loss to be rid of it.

  7. I purchased a brand new Suburban in 2015 from Sawgrass Chevrolet in November 2015. Over the last 6 months my husband and I noticed the paint on the hood of the vehicle is faded and has noticiable swirls. I had it evaluated by a auto body shop and they confirmed the paint is defective and there is no clear coat. I've also been told by the dealership that this is a very common issue they have seen on the hood/ over the engine. Yet, there is nothing they can do, I must contact GM. How is it possible that this is a know issue and there is no resolution. My car is just over four years old! My 10 year old Ford Expedition's paint looked close to brand new compared to this!!! Does anyone have any advice or recommendations? CLASS Action lawsuit?????
  8. Hello everyone, On my 2020 GMC Sierra 2500HD Denali I did a hood air induction vent swap for a chrome vent cover and while I was at it I added Led RGB lights inside the vent taking care not to restrict the air flow. Has anyone else done any chrome or Led RGB mods? If so lets see them please.
  9. Alright everyone... now that we've seen what the all new Sierra will look like, I think it's time for a good ol fashion'd vote down. Which truck do you like best? Which one would you buy? Which design do you like better? There can be only one! Place your vote now. VERSUS and of course, this is all just for good fun.
  10. Anyone else with a new 2014 Sierra having an issue with the frame rusting and paint/wax flaking off? I have 3000 kms and it looks horrible. I also own a 2011 Canyon service truck with 105kms and the frame looks like new. So irriating as my Sierra is a beautiful truck aside
  11. I'm interested in a quick read of the room. How does everyone feel about the news that GM is moving in the direction of an battery electric truck? Does the brand it's sold under influence if you'd be interested? Are you ready to buy one now or do you think we should wait it out? Thanks for your opinions!
  12. 2019 GMC Canyon all terrain bought in July 2019 with 12000km on it has clicking noise in drivers side between doors around seat belt adjuster (B- pillar area). Had the truck to two separate dealerships 7 times altogether with no success after the dealer trying different things including: 1.Replaced rear side door arm rest cover trim 2.Center pillar upper trim panel replaced 3.Replaced clips in door 4.Replaced power door lock actuator (which was very loose according to them) 5.Replaced all door weather striping. Not something you would expect from a new truck. Any ideas what this could be?
  13. Hi Long time lurker , i have a 2017 Gmc Sierra 1500 with the 5.3with the 6l80e . Im a trying to add a auxiliary transmission filter. i wanted to go with the the derale part number 13005 in conjunction with a NAPA 1269 filter. i have read both write ups done by FL335i and cossack. But on my truck the lines are routed different i included the attachment below .I want to try use an AN Adapter fitting to replace the #2 which is the gm quick disconnect19210848 with something like Earl's Performance AN to Straight Cut O-Ring Fittings AT949094ERL. but im having trouble coming up with a solution for how to adapt the AN line to the hard line. i know the AN line is probably over kill but i want to install it and not have to worry about it leaking or blowing out because i drive alot for work. if anyone can give me an input on this and any ideas or part numbers that will be appreciated. -Alfredo Excuse my chicken scratch but i figured it would help explain my ordeal a little better.
  14. 2017 sierra A/T crew cab I have the most annoying tick noise over bumps, coming from the b pillar behind my left ear and it is driving me brick house, I've pulled at the trim off put my hands on everything made sure everything is tight, stuff rags in between contact points, I've run out of ideas, anyone have an guidance for me, I'm a ex gm technician of 5 years , I know what I'm doing but of course my own truck baffles me..per usual any new bulletins or tsbs?
  15. I need help figuring this one out, I just bought this Yukon XL (100k) and drove it home (about two hours of driving) and I had a fluid puddle on my driveway the next day. So I checked it out and the only spot where I could find any “leakage” was from the drivers side motor mount. There were no other apparent fluid leaks or spills from anywhere else. I took it in to have it looked and and the liquid had dried and only left minor stains. He thought I was crazy at this point. I asked the tech if he could check the parts listing to see if it was fluid filled. He came back with a engine mount checklist which states to check for fluid leaks from the mount if equipped with GLYCOL(i.e. coolant) but also said he doesn’t see any signs of a leak even after I showed him pictures and he pulled up the inspection checklist. I need proof that the mount needs replaced because the fluid has leaked out. GLYCOL dries to show very little sign of leakage. How much fluid could he expect the mount to hold to keep leaking? How can I know for sure that this mount is the fluid filled kind or not? I took pictures of all of this.
  16. In between packing up our house to move and work I finally found time to pull together my review of the Bumpershellz I installed on my Sierra. I picked up a set of the bedlined bumpershellz for my GMC through the recent group-buy we did on the forum a while back. Side note, thank you to everyone who participated, it was fun. First impression, these things are badass!!! The bedliner was an excellent choice. I was back and forth between doing a PTM or the bedliner, glad I went with the liner version. I have installed body accessories in my tuner days (think, front lips on Civics) and was fully expecting to have to modify the shellz to fit my truck because body panel accessories never fit. These fit right out of the box making life REALLY easy. One note, the adhesive is really tacky so like Eminem says, "You only get one shot, do not miss your chance to-" TEST FIT! TEST FIT! TEST FIT! Final verdict: I would without a doubt install these again if I needed to. Anyways here are some pictures of the final product and my Youtube install video. Water Fowler junior wanted to help and shows that even kids can do this install. Installation sparknotes for the laz: Clean bumper Wipe bumper with isopropyl alcohol Install blackout tape Remove adhesive backing Slap the shellz on the truck Sit back and admire Enjoy!!! 17. 2013 GMC Acadia sunroof not closing flush. My sunroof will not close flush or open to vent mode. It opens fully, upon closing does not quick close but stops short about 2inches then have to press the close button again. When in close mode, the sunroof does not close flush at back part. When trying to open to vent mode, sunroof will not pop up. I have read to reset it by holding the vent mode button until sunroof cycles through opening and closing but it has not worked. It sits about 2mm below threashold when in close mode.
  18. Hello brothers and sisters. This is my first forum post. Just wanted to make this so you can show off ur 2019 5.3 Denali and give me some ideas what to do to mine? This is my truck as of right now. Only thing I’ve added was a magnaflow muffler but it’s a bit too stock sounding thinking about going for the muffler delete entirely. Anyways please share what you’ve done to ur 5.3 Sierra
  19. Do the 2019 GM Step Assists fit the 2014-2018 model years? Trying to figure out if the 2019 Sport Steps will fit my 2016 Silverado. Thanks.

  21. Zane Merva Executive Editor, GM-Trucks.com 3/5/2018 With the debut of GMC's all new and very fancy MultiPro Tailgate last week in Detroit questions have been floated regarding various aspects of the design and how available the tailgate will truly be. So, we reached out to GMC directly and have some answers for you. Here we are in no particular order: Will the MultiPro be available on any trim level other than SLT and Denali? YES. Although only the SLT and Denali trim levels were mentioned last week, we can confirm the MultiPro tailgate will be available on the SLE trim level as well. Can I open the MultiPro with the keyfob? YES. Just the tailgate as a whole, however. There's no option to open the inner section unless you do it with the button on the gate. Will the MultiPro prevent itself from opening into mounted ball hitch? NO. This is the biggest issue we can see with the MultiPro going forward. The inner gate is fully susceptible to damage from a mounted trailer hitch. GMC does mention that a warning sticker will be present to remind owners not to do just this. Owners will have to remember going forward that if they leave a ball hitch mounted, the MultiPro WILL HIT IT. Will GMC offer a manual (cheaper) version of the MultiPro later on? UNDETERMINED. GMC wouldn't answer our questions about a cheaper, manual version of the MultiPro in the future. We think it would be a great idea and GMC punting the question means the option is in play for the future. Will Chevrolet ever get the MultiPro? LIKELY. Although no-one from Chevy is talking, we expect the Silverado to get the MultiPro (or a Chevy-named version) at some point in the near future, perhaps in model year two (2020)
  22. I bought a1999 GMC Sierra 1500 4x4 truck about 6 months ago I’ve been working on it a lot ive done put 2200 into it i want to get it into tip/top shape so I know it’s going to take a lot more money than what I already spent but at the moment I’m short on funds and can’t afford to change every piece this is what’s going on two days ago my truck started shaking in the front driver side and I hear a knock every now and again I jacked it up and I can move the tire all over the place is that the hub or tie rod
  23. Ok so I have a 1983 gmc 1/2 ton that I'm wanting to build but I have some issues with rust in the windshield channel and I'm not entirely sure how I should go about repairing it.
  24. Hello, I have a 2008 GMC Sierra 1500 SLE Crew Cab 5.3L, no aftermarket parts or wiring in it, all stock. I had ice on my windshield this morning, not thinking i tried to use my wipers and washer fluid to defrost my windshield. The wipers did not move at all due to the ice, so i turned turned the wiper switch back to the off position. After chipping the ice away, the wipers started in the constant low speed setting and would not stop! Tried turning the truck off but they stayed on. I disconnected the battery and reconnected but the issue continued, so i pulled the fuse as a temporary fix. Does anyone know what this could be?? To my understanding it could be the wiper pulse board, fuse box, or the wiper switch arm. The turn signals and washer fluid still work fine so i don't believe it would be the wiper switch arm. I have checked online and it seems that others have had this issue but it happened randomly, so i'm hoping that since my problem seems to be directly from using the wipers when they were stuck, it may be an easy diagnosis. Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
