  1. It's never too early to start talking about the process of shopping around for a dealer, pricing, the ordering process, deposits, and production delivery times. Although we're still months away from orders being accepted, this thread is meant to be a place where everyone can check in and share their experiences as they go through the process. I'm also going to document as many important dates in this initial post as I can. I'll attempt to keep everyone up to date on start of production, any ordering limitations, and when the ordering system will go live. 3. I'm interested in a quick read of the room. How does everyone feel about the news that GM is moving in the direction of an battery electric truck? Does the brand it's sold under influence if you'd be interested? Are you ready to buy one now or do you think we should wait it out? Thanks for your opinions!
  4. Was talking to a customs shop in my area and asked what they'd recommend for a leveling kit (parts + installation) for my 2014 Silverado 1500 LTZ Z71. They reached back out with a quote and said they would choose to install a set of Bilstein 5100 adjustable struts in the front, and that it would gain about 1.85" in the front. They quoted me $569 for everything including alignment, does that seem reasonable? Has anybody on here gone that route with a comparable pickup? All I've seen are 2 or 2.5" leveling kits, would 1.85" be enough to eliminate the factory rake as well as be able to fit 33's one day? If anyone has and could share before and after pictures, that would be great. Thank you

  7. I was interested about GMC bringing back the Jimmy around 2022 to compete with the Ford Bronco and Jeep Wrangler. What do you guys think? Is it possible to compete in the market so heavily dominated by Jeep? Which of these renderings do you like the best?

  10. Is anyone aware of what is required to install factory fog lights into a 2016 & up Base level Sierra 1500 that didn't have them from factory? Will any scrap of wiring be present? The switch is not there... but can one order a switch, the lights and slap it in? Can the BCM be flashed by a dealership if required? I bought an el cheapo that doesn't have fog lights and the blank inserts drive me bonkers already... so I WILL be filling them in with factory fog lights... it would just be nice to know if I can have them work like factory or not. Otherwise I'll wire them up like jobbers and have a jobber switch. Thanks
  11. I am looking into replacing my bench seat with a full center console in my 2019 GMC Sierra SLE. Is this something that is possible? Any information to help me get started would be great.
  12. I have had this problem for quite some time. I've been trying to narrow it down one test and one part at a time with no luck. It will occasionally drive great with no problems but other times it surges while accelerating and driving down the road. I've had the timing checked, replaced the spark plugs, replaced the wires a while back, replaced the EGR valve, and replaced the cap and rotor. The truck will idle fine except for the occasional rough idle in gear during the times the truck is running badly. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
  13. Hello everyone, On my 2020 GMC Sierra 2500HD Denali I did a hood air induction vent swap for a chrome vent cover and while I was at it I added Led RGB lights inside the vent taking care not to restrict the air flow. Has anyone else done any chrome or Led RGB mods? If so lets see them please.
  14. Has anyone had a rear compressor issue with a new Yukon XL Denali? My wife and I bought the vehicle at the beginning of October 2018 and within a month the rear compressor began running excessively. We took it into the dealership with bought it from and the service rep heard the noise but was unable to reproduce it later in the day with the technician so they sent us away with the vehicle. The noise became more and more regular so we took it to a dealership near our house and they heard it and acknowledged the problem, this lead them to replacing the rear compressor. The change of the rear compressor didn't do the trick and the excessive running persisted, this is where the frustration really set in. The service technicians were going to run diagnostics and service the vehicle after we brought it in MLK Day. The service department manager interrupted the process and essentially tried to bully my wife into accepting the fact that this is normal behavior for a GMC Denali line vehicle. She left the dealership in tears. I called the service manager in disagreement with 1) his treatment of my wife and 2) disputing the fact this is normal. His response was the discharge the video with a bogus report emphasize the vehicle was in intended working condition. Now the Denali is sitting at another dealership while they try to replicate the issue. It occurs 30-40% of the trips we take in the vehicle and the rear compressor will run anywhere from a few seconds to 20 minutes. Has anyone else had this issue and found a resolution? I'm to the point I'm almost willing to just sell the vehicle back for a loss to be rid of it.

  20. First post, new user here! Got out of my first pickup in 2015 due to the Oil crash in Alberta Canada, things are looking better and im getting into a 2020 GMC sierra 1500 elevation crew cab, short box with X31 package. Got a great price on the truck along with 0% financing. GM has a lot of factory accessories that can be added to their trucks. Im for sure going to get the flush fit box cover. Any advise on other upgrades to do right away would be appreciated!! Thanks, Looch
  21. I own a 04 chevy silverado 1500. The brakes are spongy ( I've bleed them throughly, new everything except booster and master). My work trucks brakes are great 06 Sierra 2500 hd dual piston calipers all the way around same pads as the ones in my chevy. The question is can I upgrade to a dual piston the rear? They currently have the wimpy single piston. If an upgrade is possible do I need to upgrade the Master cylinder to accommodate the extra volume? If so can I just order the 2500 hd master cylinder?
  22. I have a 2011 GMC Terrain that will crank but won't start. I changed the intake and exhaust VVT solenoid cam actuators and still no luck. Does anyone have any advice as to what I should check next?
  23. Replaced my stock exhaust ('19 Sierra, 4WD, Extended Cab) with a Borla. What the hell do I do with the stock exhaust? Can't envision a need for it anywhere. Just hold on to it or is there a market for stock gear? Just looking for suggestions so it doesn't sit in my garage!
  24. Anyone else with a new 2014 Sierra having an issue with the frame rusting and paint/wax flaking off? I have 3000 kms and it looks horrible. I also own a 2011 Canyon service truck with 105kms and the frame looks like new. So irriating as my Sierra is a beautiful truck aside
  25. Hi everyone, so recently I installed a sub/amp setup in my 2018 Sierra SLT Crew Cab. My truck has the 6 speaker BOSE without sub (no console/no sub). We tapped into the rear speaker wire for a signal to an Audiocontrol LC2i. I am noticing that certain frequencies are causing the bass to drop out. It seems like when there is a heavy bass line or kick, while also a singing voice/higher frequency sound, they are competing and ultimately the bass will drop out. Most instrumental music sounds great in the truck, the bass loss is only occurring when there other certain frequencies playing simultaneously. The bass will drop out/go really low, then the next hit will be normal (loud) when the frequencies are no longer competing. I am wondering if this is normal with the LC2i or if something else is causing this issue. Sorry if this explanation sucks...in a nutshell, any bass enthusiast will be able to notice this as soon as they got in my truck. The bass is not consistent and it is super annoying when it drops in and out. (For Ex. the same kick drum will hit at different levels throughout the same song depending on which other sounds are occurring at the same time) Thanks for any replies in advance, I appreciate it. - KJ
