  1. Hey guys, so I bought the dsx flex fuel kit so I can run E, but I CAN NOT find a single thread or video on how to install it, I usually don't do major work on my vehicles so maybe this will be too much for me and I can take it to a shop. But can someone who has done it try to explain? Pics as well please. I' m sure i'm not the only one who is having a hard time finding instructions on this. TIA!!!!
  2. First time poster here. I have been looking a lot at a mid-travel chase kit from Bajakits for my 2015 Silverado double cab midnight edition. All the options look good but from what I can guess I will probably lose some towing capacity when is comes to tongue weight and max payload. So I am considering installing airlift suspension down the road to gain that loss back. I am curious to see if anybody here has done it before and what, if any, fitment issues were and how much the different suspensions interfere with each other's performance. And if you have never done this before I appreciate any and all input based on your thoughts and guesses. Also, if you have any experience with the maintenance of either of these products, that input would be greatly appreciated
  3. Installed a set of iBoardAuto running boards on my 2017 Coly. Check out the install and review videos below: INSTALL REVIEW
  4. Long time lurker on the forums and have read and used lots of advice from the site over the years. I appreciate all the contributors that help and explain things to those of us that are still learning. Hoping someone can assist or explain how to correct the issue I have with the install of my new rack and pinion. 2006 GMC Sierra crew cab 1500 SLE, 5.3 After installing a brand new rack and pinion (not rebuilt unit), my left rotor is at about 10-15deg angle facing out left and my right rotor is about 20 deg angle facing out to the right. So they look like this - \ / but not to that extreme. I did a front end rebuild on my pickup last week. I replaced upper control arms, lower control arms, stabilizer bar links, and shocks on both sides of the front end. After I completed all this, I reinstalled tires while waiting on my new rack and pinion to arrive. Everything looked normal as before. Received the new rack and pinion and outer tie rod ends a couple days ago and did the install following a detailed video as well as instructions someone posted on these forums. Only thing I did different was not drop the stabilizer bar as I noticed I could pull the bolts almost completely out and remove and reinstall the part without that step. I tied the steering wheel so it wouldn't move and I counted the turns of the outer ends, oddly they were both exactly 16 turns. I installed new outer ends with 16 turns on each side. When hooking back up the steering shaft to steering gear, I had to rotate the steering gear about 1/2 turn in order for the shaft to slide onto it. I had previously marked the shaft and old gear per instructions, but I'm guessing that is meaningless on a new install. Is this as simple that I need to adjust the outer ends to get them closer in to alignment? Which would mean the new unit is slightly different than the old one? In hindsight I wish I would have more closely compared the two and measured the full length, end to end. The new rack and pinion came with the inner tie rods already installed. I could pull it all back off and do the measurement, but hoping someone responds with the answer and I don't have to perform a complete removal and install again. I plan on taking to a shop for an alignment, especially with everything I have done, but I don't want to drive 30 miles with the tires that far out of whack. Additional question, the old unit has what appears to be just a connecting rod between the right and left boots, but the new unit didn't come with this. Is that of any significance or just different manufacture styles? From what I can tell, it appears to be on remanufactured units, but not on brand new ones. Maybe just part of the rebuild kit? It was kind of in the way to remove the ground strap from the old unit and I had to use open end wrench, but since it wasn't there on new unit, I was able to replace bolt with socket and ratchet. Thanks for any and all assistance.
  5. I have a grant steering wheel assembly, but I need more insight on how to install. Watched a bunch of videos but couldn't find a good one for what I doing.
  6. I recently purchased a Multi-Camera Interface for GMC Vehicles from ADC Mobile which includes a Front Camera, Side Cameras, and a 3rd Brake Light Camera and am not 100% convinced this is an install I would like to tackle on my own on a brand new truck... Does anyone have any recommendations on where I might be able to get this installed in the Houston Area? Or even better, someone who has installed one that would be willing to give me a hand installing it??? Thanks!
  7. Always Start with disconnecting Battery Terminal. REMOVE AIR BOX ASSEMBLY. Disconnect Vacuum push connections A's. Unscrew Air Box from Throttle body. Pull away from Manifold. 4. Unscrew MAF using Torques bit. 5. Pull up on red tab on MAF. Press and pull up to remove. 6. Unscrew C-clamp on filter box and remove assembly.
  8. Just installed a set of SL1 LED headlights in the low beam and high beam. These are fantastic! Check out the video below:
  9. I ordered these https://www.ebay.com/itm/Trail-Ridge-Towing-Mirror-Power-Fold-Heat-Memory-Smoke-Signal-OAT-Chrome-for-GM/232440504616?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 with the hopes of being plug and play but the marker lights and reverse spot light aren't working. The instructions aren't the greatest and wiring isn't my specialty. Has anyone installed these? My truck is a 2014 LTZ, came stock with power fold mirrors, with puddle lights and turn signals in the mirrors. Thanks!
  10. First of all, let me say that I absolutely love my stock sound system. My truck is a 2015 Silverado LS, and as good quality my stock stereo sounds, I hate its screen, it has big pixels, and it is just ugly looking. So, I decided that I wanted to have an iPad to cover for it, plus with the tablet, I can have all my music and stuff there, to free some memory from my iPhone, and a bigger screen to use for GPS navigation, both for Street/On-Road driving and Off-Road routing. The total cost for this mod was around $200 dollars for the iPad (Gen4 Wifi+Cellular) and less than $3 dollars for the velcro I used to mount it to my dashboard. I totally recommend this to anyone interested on doing this, and I'm very happy with the performance of the setup and with its looks. -You can pull the iPad off the dash and use it normally at home. -Cheaper solution than buying a Lowrance professional GPS plotter that goes for 1,000+ US$ -Bigger Screen is easier to read, rather than using your phone So, without further ado, here is the process and finished product, hope you guys enjoy the video:

Pickup utility racks have been an option for anyone looking to haul around longer objects for decades. They've gotten the job done when stuff like ladders, wood, and canoes needed moved from one place to another. With the options of bed sizes shrinking over the past few years, a stylish and functional utility rack can add, well , a lot of utility to your full size or midsize truck.
