I saw an advertisement for a 2017 Silverado LT Double Cab 4x4 for $229/month for 36 month, 10,000 miles per year, $2,000 due at signing. I wanted a higher milage lease so i called around and was quoted $270/month for 36 month, 12,000 miles per year, $2,000 due at signing. They said that after the month of August the incentives will change and those offers will expire. Does $270 sound like a good deal? Also, would you expect the deals to get better or worse as the year comes to an end. I'd assume better as they try to push the 2017 models off the lots for the 2018s.

John Goreham Contributing Writer, GM-Trucks.com 7-26-2017 U.S. News & World Report is very fond of lists. This week's list is "6 Best Pickup Trucks to Buy Now." Setting aside that there are not that many more than 6 pickup trucks on the U.S. market, the list has some insight for GM pickup truck shoppers. The basic premise of the story is that pickup truck sales are in decline right now and manufacturers are trying to maintain their sales volume as best they can through price incentives. You can jump to the full story here, or read our summary of the GM truck incentives outlined by U.S. News Autos below. Chevy Silverado The Silverado's sales are barely down. With a decline of about 4% they are really only in decline about the same percentage as the overall market is. Still, Chevy is offering deals. One is $1,500 cash back on the purchase of a Silverado. Lessees can pay as little as $229 per month for three years with $3,919 due at signing according to U.S News. GM Sierra The GM Sierra's sales decline is about 8% year over year, and did also decline that much last month. GMC is offering a lease deal of $249 per month for three years with $3,929 due at signing on Double Cab 4WD models. GMC Canyon Without a doubt, the Canyon's sales are down significantly. Down about 26% in the most recent month, and about 14% year over year. GM has two special deals right now according to U.S. News. First, zero percent financing for five years. Second, lease and pay $249 per month for two years with $4,569 due at signing. These deals are not to be confused with the only deals available. Military discounts, buyers club discounts, and many more are always available on GM trucks. Photo by Zane Merva

Hello all! I am new here because we're interested in leasing a 2016 GMC Sierrra 1500 Denali. We have visited some dealerships and we got quotes for $398 with $998 down plus tax, title, and licensing fees. This is with OUR GM Employee discount and competitive lease rebate. Does this all sound like a good price? We never leased one before, so we don't know what to expect. Thank you all!

Scott Hall of Swapalease explained why he thinks this increase is occurring, saying, "I think what you're seeing today is a shift among traditional drivers of trucks who now see the value of strong lease deals available for popular truck models. Furthermore, the typical driver of a truck has always had the mindset of holding onto that vehicle for a long period of time, and truck technology is now advancing and refreshing more frequently, giving rise to the number of drivers who wish to upgrade every few years."

John Goreham Contributing Writer, GM-Trucks.com 2/17/2015 Trucks have not traditionally been a significant part of the leasing industry according to Swapalease, but that may be changing. Swapalease is a company that specializes in getting people into and out of leases. It acts as a broker to help existing customers find drivers who are willing to assume a lease. The company reports that the Chevy Silverado inventory it manages has jumped by almost 300% in the past two years. Over that period, considerations (searches for Silverado leases on the company's site) have increased 90%. The Ford F-150, Dodge Ram, and Toyota Tundra all also saw increases, but none quite so dramatic as the Silverado.
