  1. I have a stock 2017 GMC Sierra 1500 slt preferred package. Time to get new tires and the Mickey Thompson Baja boss at’s look promising. Can anybody tell me if the 275/60 will fit without a level and and real world reviews on these tires (particularly road noise)? It shows that they measure at a 33.4 which is a little bigger than other 275/60s. Pics also appreciated
  2. Hope you guys are doing well! Found a lovely deal for a chevy 2016 - LT Z71 - V5.3 This is my first truck and looking to lift it. found a good price for Rough Country lift kit - 3.5 inch BILSTEIN 5100: https://psp.ae/product/bilstein-performance-shocks-15/ Rough Country KIT: https://www.roughcountry.com/gm-suspension-lift-kit-275-8.html Many people been complaining about how cheap the rough country shocks are, so I was thinking is it possible to install Bilstein 5100 shocks kit on this kit? or would they not fit into these? This way I would lift the truck + level it + have some what better shocks I thought about selling the Rough Country shocks instead Your thought and experience are much appreciated!
  3. Wanting to get bigger tires on my truck, installing a lift kit as well. Can I stretch 285/55/r20's on 20x12 rims with -44 offset? Has anyone does this? Also will this effect my tire life any reviews would be awesome. (Leveling kit recommendations would be awesome as well)
  4. Disclaimer: I need a lot of help and don't know what I'm doing besides the research I've done thus far. Which is mixed to say the least. I have a 2017 Chevy Silverado with the stock 20" wheels. I have stock Z71 suspension. Stock Tires. Live in CO and blew a tire on the way up to a mountain. Riding full size spare right now, but between that blown tire and a bolt clean through another that is still holding air, I think it's about (well past) time I get new tires altogether. With that comes the choice to go ahead and get my other changes done I'd like as well, including a level kit, smaller wheels, and larger tires (Pathfinder AT 285/70 R17). With that in mind, I'm trying to do it cheaply (I know, f*ck me, first mistake). I found some used MB Wheels TKO wheels on Craigslist off of a taco for hella cheap and picked em up without doing a ton of research (second mistake). They are 17x8.5 6x5.5, which sounds good. Where it starts sounding problematic is the lugs and bore. These wheels are M12x1.5 with a thicc bore size at something around 106mm and obv the Silverado is M14x1.5 with a bore size of 78.1mm. Offset is 27 stock and this wheel is -6. On this offset topic, I don't even know if this will be a problem or not. (possibly third mistake?) My question is, will these wheels function safely on the Silverado if I purchase 60 degree acorn lugs at M14x1.5? What else would I need to do to make these work? Hub Ring? Offset? Am I being a complete moron? Should I just resell the wheels and scrap this? 5. Planning on leveling my 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 SLE with the 3” front 2” rear MOTOFAB leveling kit. Currently have stock wheels/tires on it which are 255/70R17. Thinking about jumping up to 18” wheels instead but wanted to know how much of a difference the 17” to 18” jump would make in appearance. I was able to find plenty of pictures with 18” wheels but are there any photos out there of leveled /lifted trucks with 17” rims?
  6. Hello, I wanted to see if anyone knows the actual answer about leveling a trail boss. Can you really get away with a "cheap" level ie. Rough Country using only spacers or do I need to fork out the extra and get the ready lift or fabtech with the upper control arms. Is the Readylift video brainwashing me or do you really need the control arms?!? Asking because it seems to be about $500 (CAD) difference between the two choices.
  7. I just wanna show off my truck , as i cant find any online as blacked out as mine , hope it meets everyones approval
  8. RE: 2014 - 2018 Silverado/Sierra 1500 Wondering if any one has installed Readylift or Cognito UCA's with their leveling kit. Did you have to cut off the service perches/bump stop? If not have much clearance do you have between the UCA and the stop?
  9. I’ve got a question for the group. Someone else has probably already posted so if there’s a thread someone can direct me to, that would be great as well. I installed a 2” motofab leveling kit with 285/55R20 Toyo Open Country LT tires. I’ve had an alignment done and even checked again. Something with the handling of the truck just doesn’t seem right. It almost feels like the steering is over compensating to a small degree or just a little sloppy for a new truck at speeds above 60 or 70 mph. Is there something else that should be checked besides the alignment or corrected?
  10. Hey guys, I know this topic has probably been beat to death, but I was hoping to take it a little further. I have a 2015 Black Sierra Crew Cab with a 2" level. I'm going to be getting the BFG AT KO2's soon, and am trying to decide between the 275/60/r20 and the 275/65/r20. I think the 60's are 33" tires and the 65's are 34" tires, both with 10.8" width. I understand that both will fit fine. I would be very grateful if some of the guys running these tires/sizes (or even other tires) would be able to post some pics on this thread for comparison. I've seen some great looking trucks with those tires but can't decide between the two!
  11. This is my 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500 LT. I have gone in and out of this vehicle adding, changing, modifying, making it a better vehicle for my personal preference. There are things like, lift kits, spacers, shocks, speakers, center console, tint, intake, exhaust, train horn, after market lighting, switches, ect. that have been added to this vehicle. I work on all vehicles even diesels and side by sides and will help you with your projects. If you have any questions regarding help, how to, or what I have done, please PM me and I will certainly help you through any process. Building vehicles has been a passion for me and I will help you achieve your goal as I continue to achieve mine. I am open to all questions.
