Always Start with disconnecting Battery Terminal. REMOVE AIR BOX ASSEMBLY. Disconnect Vacuum push connections A's. Unscrew Air Box from Throttle body. Pull away from Manifold. 4. Unscrew MAF using Torques bit. 5. Pull up on red tab on MAF. Press and pull up to remove. 6. Unscrew C-clamp on filter box and remove assembly. -
I just bought a 2010 Silverado LTZ 4x4 last Thursday and a few days ago it started leaking oil, and now I noticed it smokes from the engine bay on startup. It's not a lot of smoke, but it smokes on startup and smells like something is burning and then a few seconds later it'll stop. I opened up my engine bay and it looks like it is coming from the passenger side exhaust manifold, maybe a worn exhaust gasket? I'm not sure. It is white smoke, and there is a little bit of white smoke coming from the exhaust as well. It's hardly noticeable from the exhaust, but when looking in the engine bay you can clearly see it. If anyone has any ideas what this could be please help me out. -
Ok so we’re getting ready to put the replacement engine in my 2001 2500HD 6.0 and one of the exhaust bolts was broken of like they do. So we removed all the bolts and are going to replace them. So my question is where should I get the new bolts GM replacements or get them from somewhere else and use stainless or grade 10.9. And do we use anti-seize or not?

Ok fellas I know you all are the pros, I just bought a new 2017 highcountry with the 6.2/ 8 speed. Apparently no one can tune the tcm, so I decided to buy a diablo i3 since I’m familiar with it, was gonna go BLACKBEAR but they refuse to answer emails or phones, so here’s what I’m asking!! what bolt I s Can I buy to get the most out of this truck, I’ve read I should not swap my manifold to the vet manifold or the msc due to losing mid range and that since I have the 8speed it won’t matter much. However let me know your opinion? * what cold air intake * what throttle body upgrade * should I upgrade manifold * what are the best header option * I already added the cat back borla exhaust * am I missing anything, I’m gonna start buying ASAP so LLEASE HELP -
Not overjoyed with manifold bolts breaking on their own. I hear this is a common 6.0 problem. Any advice on removing broken bolts appreiciated. If I am messing with this anyway, has anyone had experience putting headers on their truck? Is the EPA crap that you need to allow for just cost prohibitive to even trying to install headers?

On the left side of the engine on my 2000 Serria sle 5.3 on the exhaust manifold there is a leak comming from the part that sticks out of the manifold and is sealed with a plate and two bolts what is that called and can i buy just that plate or do i need the whole manifold???

Hey everyone! I've been wanting to throw on an LS6 Intake Manifold from a Corvette onto my 2002 5.3 Silverado. I was just wondering if there is anyone who has done this and if so what problems were faced. It sounds like the Vette manifold is slightly longer and there may be some issues with my current water pump. It sounds like an interesting project and a great learning experience. Again, if anyone has tried this, I would love to hear your stories and/or opinions. Thanks!
