Buddy's got an 93' C2500HD (with the eight bolt rims...), Front Disks and Rear Drums. What I'm hoping to find out what people think is the best stuff to make brake pads & shoes out of. I'm looking at semi-metallic and ceramic brake pads; there's just too many d--- choices. Truck hauls a decent load about three or four times a month, otherwise it's 90% freeway/10% hilly mountain passes and snake trails. If I'm dealing w/ the local NAPA Auto parts store, is the a proven, go-to brake pad/shoe recommendation?

Replaced these with tow mirrors so I no longer need these. These mirrors are the switchblade DL8 mirrors (power adjust and heated glass) painted Silver Ice Metallic. They were removed from my truck with 3k miles on it and are in perfect condition with new chips, cracks, or broken components. Will fit 2014-2017 silverado or sierra's. $125 + shipping. Sorry for the last post, an image URL went bad. Anyway, I have for sale a 2014+ GMC sierra all terrain grille with color matched bezel. It came off my truck with only 10k miles on it. I had the bezel around the grille custom painted cobalt blue metallic to match my truck.The bezel is removable so the actual all terrain grille can be used on any colored truck! Unfortunately, i hit a deer a couple of weeks ago and they ended up replacing the grille due to one tab on the back of the grille being broken. I took a picture of the broken tab, i looked for any other damage and couldn't find any. Neither the repair shop or I saw anything wrong with the grille until they tore it apart and saw the broken tab. It should be 100% functional still. I found a minor paint chip that looks like it occurred during removal. I think a good waxing will make it look pretty much perfect. This is a rare grill as i do not believe they made cobalt blue metallic ones from the factory, so the only way to get it is have it custom painted like i did. Also, the paint matches the truck flawlessly. I am asking $425 obo. I live in Michigan so local pickup would be best, but i will consider shipping as well. Thanks for looking! -
I have a 2014 6.2L LTZ Wheelchair Accessible Silverado built by SVM Mobiltiy and I'm having a VERY loud metallic "clanking" or "vibrating" NOISE when I hit the speed limiter in my truck at ~100mph. The truck is still pulling hard @ 100mph and the onset of the noise is NOT gradual its sudden and immediate and very audible. Does anyone else have this issue? At first I thought driveshaft vibration or a warning noise from GM when speed limiter was reached... PRE-EMPTIVE STRIKE: -Yes, I do this on private roads -Yes, the dealer has inspected both road force and the driveshaft and have found no issues. -Yes, I'm in a chair from a car accident. -YES, I have safety equipment including a 5 point harness. -NO, I was not driving, my father was. and no we weren't speeding, it was caused by a blowout. -NO, that did not take away my love of racing. -YES, I HAVE SPEED RATED TIRES ok, I think that covers the pertinent details....

Looking to trade my chrome bumpers(both front & rear) from my 2015 Sierra SLT for iridium metallic bumpers with sensors. Truck is 1 month old and bumpers are in mint condition. I am located in Canada but am very close to the boarder. Please let me know if anyone is interested. Cheers.

Not sure if there is already a page for Orange 2014+ 1500 Silverado's, but if not, lets start one. I have found a few online, and have personally checked one out. It matches the color of a certain school I went to, and the Texas Edition trucks have a white UT Longhorn paint scheme. Even though I am a UT grad, I just don't know that I really care for the look. It is growing on me though. It is a sticker, so I am guessing it could be removed if I wanted. Also, it is a pretty similar orange to my '72 Corvette. Tan interior is, IMO, always going to be better than a boring black interior. With the DSMO, the tan leather is no exception. IT really looks great, again, IMO.
