  1. I found a cheap pair of T1 Power folding mirrors on 1AAUTO (NON OEM) that are meant just as a replacement to the OEM Memory Package mirrors, obviously I don't have the memory package but I really wanted to give this a try and so far I would call it a success! This is what I ordered: P/N: 1AMRP03092 The Mirrors (from 1AAUTO.COM) P/N: 84532268 The OEM Power Fold Switch (from any GM Parts store) 22-20 Ga. Female GT 150 Series, Sealed #12191818 The Terminals (from amazon) 22 AWG 6 conductor wire The Cable (from amazon) And The heart of the project: a generic, Chinese, Cheap Power fold mirror controller (from amazon) I WILL MOSLTY BE FOCUSING ON EXPLAINING THE DRIVERS SIDE FOR THIS POST, IT IS ALMOST THE SAME ON THE PASSANGER SIDE EXCEPT THAT SIDE HAS THE AMBIENT TEMP SENSOR. WHEN YOU DISCONNECT THIS SENSOR AND RECONNECT IT THE TRUCK WILL SHOW -40 DEGREES, TO RECALIBRATE THE AMBIENT TEMP SENSOR YOU MUST DRIVE GREATER THAN 65MPH FOR MORE THAN 1 MINUTE. Now my goal for this project was just to be able to power fold my mirrors when I leave my truck and lock the doors, but also unfold when I unlock. I haven't received the interior switch just yet but I am planning on figuring out how to make it work! I started with checking my door harnesses for any existing wire that would make this easier, my truck came from the factory with the wiring for power adjustable mirrors, heated mirrors, and the puddle/task lamps (which is odd because my OEM mirrors did not have the puddle nor task lamps. The new aftermarket mirrors did include the two lights and I was able to get both of them working. Next I played with the generic power fold mirror controller to see how it worked. It has the inputs for lock and unlock as well as inputs for an interior switch. The power inputs are +12V,GND, and ACC. There is just one two-wire output to fold and unfold the mirrors by switching the polarity of the motors. The ACC Wire (Accessory) is required because the controller folds and unfolds the mirrors based on the lock status. When ACC is applied the lock and unlock folding feature is disabled. Next I looked at the GM Upfitter Electrical pinout section to see what pins I was looking for on the Mirror. There are only two pins for the Power Fold Motor, Pin 3 Circuit 3412 Driver Mirror Motor Fold IN Control Pin 15 Circuit 3411 Driver Mirror Motor Fold Out Control I first ran the new wires from the drivers side fuse panel to each mirror going under the dash and through the door harness holes and boots. I then terminated two leads on each side right at the mirror, the cable I used had 6 wires but I just wanted extra for any future projects. The mirrors went on without a hitch, and I pulled the locking pin off the mirror connector and put in my new two terminated leads in there correct positions (polarity really doesn't matter because reversing the polarity will just make the motor turn the wrong way). Now we have two new power folding mirrors with our own DIY harnesses installed and ready to go. Next is finding your power sources and Lock and Unlock signals. For the +12V I used literally any fuse on the drivers side (they are all always powered) and for the ACC I had to run a wire to the heated steering wheel fuse on the passenger side (The passenger side fuse box has both always on power and accessory power). For the lock and unlock signals I used Pins 2 and 4 of the K9 Body Control Module pink X6 connector. These are for the drivers door lock actuator. Finally with the ignition off so that ACC is not powered connect the Fold control wires from the controller to the mirrors and press the lock and unlock button to get the polarity correct. If its wrong just flip the two wires for that corresponding mirror. If you have any questions just reply! You can see the Generic controller tucked away inside the drivers side fuse panel.
  2. 2018 Chevy 2500 LT. Unfortunately going back to shop for second time. Thank God I have warranty. Going for emissions related problems. First time Coolant reservoir need replaced. Also noticed that none of my mirror lights work. I'm wondering if this an issue I could fix myself easily? Led backup lights also wont turn on even when I turn on bed light and put in reverse. I hope warranty doesn't give me trouble. I did not have a problem the first time with warranty. But with this "Service Emissions System:. Along with lights not working in mirrors. And to top it off I must have some sort of short where license plate bulbs are at. Plate lights wont stay on even with new bulbs.
  3. I have a strange problem with my 2014 Sierra SLT 1500. Randomly the doors will self-lock and the mirrors will fold. This will happen even while driving down the road. I will unfold the mirrors and they will refold in a couple seconds. After 3-4 times, it will quit. It is disconcerting because it can self-lock even while idling in the driveway. I have to use Onstar to unlock my truck. But I have to be quick and yank the door open instantly or it will self-lock again in about 1 second. Has anyone else experienced this problem?
  4. Just bought a Travel Trailer and brought it home with my 2015 Colorado. I need Tow Mirrors and even the camping dealer suggested I get the GM parts and not the clip on. Have not found one specific to the Colorado but will the Silverado extension mirrors work?
  5. I’m new to this so be gentle. 2015 Silverado 2500 has the white LED mirror lights that turn on with the cargo switch. How do I get them to come on in reverse? Can the dealer update bcm module and problem solved or am I out of luck? Also wondering about the remote roll down and up of the windows by the key remote
  6. I have a 09 silverado 1500 WT It has heated rear window but no heated mirrors. And I can't see a wire for heated mirrors in the door compartment (although I haven't opened the door panels in a few months) I do seem to have 2 wires (it feels like 2) going through the door boot (I haven't opened the boot to see the colors but I assume it is for the door open sensor, but I could be wrong) I am wanting to add tow mirrors to the truck and especially heated mirrors ( I plow with the truck and really would love the heated mirrors) I was wondering how I would go about adding heated mirrors ( like I said I have the heated back glass so shouldn't the wiring for heated mirrors already be in the truck as I think they run off the same switch and I'm gonna assume the same harness ( I could be completely wrong and they could be different harnesses) Looking for help as I am wanting to do this conversion if possible
  7. I'm currently looking at these mirrors for an 07 GMC 2500HD Classic here: http://monsterautoparts.com/GMC/SIERRA/gmc_sierra_towing_mirrors_telescopic.htm Item1339-0010B because its the pair. They're exactly what I want: Power mirror, heated and turn signal BUT its manual telescoping. Is there any place I can get all that with power telescoping? I'm kind of at a loss of where to look since the ones I had bookmarked seem to have gone missing. I just have standard mirrors now so the next question I'm asking is, what else does it seem I would need to install these? Am I just not looking hard enough to find other options? I went to a local GM dealer and they're guy said GM had discontinued the OEM ones.
  8. I have recently removed my dl8 mirrors off of my 17 Silverado. I can text pictures to anyone who is interested (im posting on my phone) asking 165.00 shipped I also removed the painted black door handles and mirror caps (clips are good) removed from same truck at 2500 miles. I went to chrome. Asking 275.00 shipped for the handles. Again, pics can be provided via text or email. Items are "like new" condition. Thanks. Dm me email addresses or cells for pics. When I get to work I'll try and post pics. Thanks
  9. Being new to the forum world I hope I'm doing this right. I recently purchased a 2015 GMC 2500 HD used with a newly installed CM flatbed. 80000 Primarily highway miles and very clean and well kept. Purchased from a dealership so previous owner history is not available due to privacy laws. Everything on this truck works like new except a few functions of the electric Mirrors. They are manual extend and manual fold and both upper panes adjust fine. The problem is that the turn signals do not flash in the mirror "dots", the Amber clearance lights do not come on and the rear facing white lights do not come on with the box lights. No way of knowing if the heated part works being it's summer. Trying to search the owners manual for fuse information was a bit of a challenge so I tested all fuses for power on both sides and all that have any power have power on both sides in all 3 panels. I thinking that one of the relays or circuit breakers must have failed and are not labeled for function that I can access. Fuse labeled htd mir has no power on either side. Any help would be greatly appreciated! GB
  10. I just bought my 2020 Denali and when I was parking it last night I noticed the lights on the mirrors didn't come on when I put it in reverse. The manual doesn't help much. I looked at some other forums and diodes get brought up a lot on the older models. I am hoping it's just a settings issue that I am overlooking. Any input would be appreciated.
  11. Quick question, what’s everyone’s suggestions for a good set of towing mirrors for my 2019 GMC Sierra? It’s a SLT package and the only option I know of right now is only the clip on style. Thanks
  12. Bought a clean 2000 Silverado but it has non power tow mirrors. I hate the look of them and I hate the big bulky look of the stock mirrors. What year mirrors would fit? I really like the 14+ mirrors but my guess is those won’t work.
  13. These are DL3 mirrors taken off a 2015 LTZ Silverado. They're in very good condition and are power folding, power adjusting and heated. They also have turn signals and puddle lamps built in. I got them from a friend, but my truck wasn't wired for all the functions to work and I didn't have time to wire it up. $225 OBO. Can be shipped or locally picked up. 14. For sale i have OEM Tow Mirrors DQS takeoffs from a 2014 GMC Sierra. I have additional pictures upon request, doesn’t let me upload on here. I’m asking for $500 shipped or local pickup in Dallas, Tx
  15. I have a 2014 GMC sierra SLT and it has the power folding mirror option. If I want the GM power folding tow mirrors are they just a simple swap? Thanks!
  16. Recently purchased a 2019 gmc 2500 longbed I still have my 2015 Sierra 2500 shortbed can I swap front bumpers to get the front bumper sensors. I also want to swap the power folding Mirrors. Are any of these possible options?
  17. I have both the driver (23180074) and passenger (23499472) DL3 mirrors and door harnesses from a 2015 GMC Sierra Denali. They were on for a very short time before upgrading to tow mirrors. Both are heated, power folding, and include puddle light and integrated turn signal in the mirror. Driver side also features blind spot mirror and is auto dimming. I am unsure of what specific vehicles these will fit on, however the part numbers are the same for the Sierra/Silverado and pervious model Yukon/Yukon XL and Tahoe/Suburban. Please contact me with any questions and I will do my best to answer. I will cover shipping costs within the US (except Alaska and Hawaii). Driver: $ 250 (FREE shipping) Passanger: $ 250 (FREE shipping) Both: $ 400 (FREE shipping)
  18. I've searched and searched and haven't found an answer and hope somebody here can help. I have a '12 Silverado LT ZR1 All Star. It came with DL* mirrors. I upgraded to remote folding side view mirrors using my own dash mounted switch. They don't have the directionals or puddle lights. I upgraded my rearview mirror to an auto-dimming one and it was plug-and-play and has made a big difference to highway night driving which I do frequently. When being passed on the left often I am being blinded by the bright lights people use these days bouncing off the side view mirror into my eyes. So, I would like to update the driver's side side view mirror to one that will auto-dim or, at least allow me to flip a switch at night to dim the mirror. Can anyone tell me how to do this? Can I just energize certain pins on one of the 2 mirror connectors through a dash mounted switch or is there a way to make it auto-dim? I'd be willing to move up to the full DL3 mirrors but if I am going to do that I'd like to know what I'd have to do to make everything work. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've wasted so much time trying to even find the pinouts on the connectors that I've considered giving up and tinting the mirror permanently as a last resort. It's better than folding the mirrors in which I have actually been forced to do a few times. Dark highways, bright headlights and people running with their high beams on have left me no choice at times.
  19. Anyone know if it’s easy/ possible to re-route the task lights on the mirrors so that they work regardless of the vehicle being in park? Thanks
  20. So I’ve been on the hunt for some quality tow mirrors for a while now and haven’t had any luck. Any of the ones I find on amazon either say they don’t fit my vehicle or the reviews are not so good and just nothing really promising that what I get will fit or work completely. I have a 2014 1500. If anyone else has upgraded to tow mirrors on their 1500 any links/recommendations/information would be appreciated. Couple pictures attached
  21. I have 2015 Chevy Silverado midnight edition LT 1500 and I want to swap to tow mirrors but want to know what my options are with extras that tow mirrors provide. The only option I know I have with the stock is power rotating of the actual mirror and don’t believe I have defrost. Does the wiring harness in the door provide capability for turn signals or power extension? Or am I limited to basic tow mirrors?
  22. Looking for a specific buyer in Ontario Canada ?? - I know most users are from the United States however I would rather local pickup. What's included - - Pair of DL3 (either black or chrome caps) these mirrors have power fold, tsignal, puddle lights - pgamboa custom harness to make it work on non equipped trucks - GM mirror switch with power fold option This is a full conversion of everything you'll need so I don't want to split anything apart.
  23. I have a set of Trail Ridge tow mirrors for 2014+ for sale (Power adjust, heated, turn signal). They are in great shape and everything works, No scratches. Only had these on my truck for about 6 months, however decided I liked the smaller regular color matched dl8 mirrors I originally had and went back to them. Asking $150.
  24. A set of DL3 (Power fold, auto dim, heated, power adjust, puddle lamp, red LED in-mirror turn signals) for 2014 - 2018 Silverado/Sierra gasoline models (Diesel uses a mirror with temp sensor on the R mirror and are different part numbers). These came off my 2014 Silverado LTZ (38,000 miles) when I replaced them with a set of tow mirrors. Everything works and mirrors are in fantastic shape. In Seattle/Tacoma, WA, area. $225 shipped to Lower 48 states. Last chance before these go to eBay. Please PM me if interested or post questions in reply. Thank you!
