Recently purchased 3.0 JLT oil catch can. As I went to install it on my Silverado I honestly didn’t really see if it would fit so I backed off to get more info. Has anyone installed a oil catch can on the 2019 Silverado? The main reason for stopping the install was that the intake has some piece on the left holding it together that i can’t seem to find a way to get loose. I loosened the clamps to the air box and Intake manifold but some weird peice on the left is still holding it together when i attempted to take the intake off.

Ok so long story short I found a big oil puddle in my driveway after parking my 14 Sierra with the 5.3. The dealer I took it to said the rear main seal blew and the cause was the combination of cold temperatures and the oil catch can that I put on the vehicle. I installed the elite engineering e2 can with one way check valve. Has anyone else had this issue? They're telling me since I put that system on it voids the warranty and I have to pay for the rear main needless to say I'm pretty pissed

I have had the Elite Engineering E2 Catch Can on my 2014 Silverado for about 8100 miles and just performed my first oil change since it was installed. (Don't worry, I use Mobil 1 Annual Protection). Shocked is an understatement of my reaction when I discovered how much oil my truck is burning. After seeing how much was captured by the Catch Can, I am very glad I decided to install one. I have run a catch can in my Camaro for several years and it captured far less oil between changes so I was very surprised with how much was captured this time. After doing this first check - up on the catch can, I now plan to check the can much more frequently (every 2,000 miles or so) to see how much is being captured. I will be uploading some additional follow up reviews on the catch can and how it is performing. Overall, I am completely satisfied with my purchase and will be purchasing from Elite Engineering again. Note that this engine is shared among many GM platforms such as the Silverado, Sierra, Yukon, Suburban, Tahoe, Express, etc.
