I'm going to need to have the torque converter on my 2013 Silverado 2500 6.0 replaced & would like to have a price range in mind of what it should cost all said & done when I go to the shop so I don't get ripped off. I know rates & such vary depending on location (I'm in NJ) but I'm just looking for a round about price for this specific truck, maybe from someone who's been there & done that.. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

New truck owner here! I just wondering if I did a great deal with our purchase with our 2018 GMC Sierra SLT Premium package. We bought a new truck yesterday from the first dealership went to. The MSRP was $56,000+ almost $57k. I did not have a trade-in, we got it for $42,000 plus i haggle to add 1armor (3 years exterior paint, and interior protection)-$998, plus we also get a $500 Costco card, those are not included in $42k price. Basically, with all the added stuff it is like getting it for $40,500. The only issue i have is that I have 843 credit score, at first the sales person said if we finance it through GM we will get additional $1000, but the APR will be 6.99%. When we're ready to sign the financing of around 15k on the paper it says APR 8.99%. They told us to wait until 3 months before we can refinance. I know i can get 1.99 APR somewhere else. How much did you pay for yours?

Hello my name is Adrian I'm new to this site. I'm currently looking for a Black 2014 silverado LT Double Cab with a 5.3L V8, 4x4 with a All-star Package. So far out the door I was able to haggle down to $34,800 out the door price but asking if I can go lower or if anyone has techniques I can use to help lower the price. Thanks

I saw an advertisement for a 2017 Silverado LT Double Cab 4x4 for $229/month for 36 month, 10,000 miles per year, $2,000 due at signing. I wanted a higher milage lease so i called around and was quoted $270/month for 36 month, 12,000 miles per year, $2,000 due at signing. They said that after the month of August the incentives will change and those offers will expire. Does $270 sound like a good deal? Also, would you expect the deals to get better or worse as the year comes to an end. I'd assume better as they try to push the 2017 models off the lots for the 2018s.

John Goreham Contributing Writer, GM-Trucks.com 9-7-2016 Owners Jeremy & Misty Nelson and Terry Jostock, and Price Motorsports LLC, have created one of the most powerful Chevy trucks in the world. We thought the GM-trucks.com readership might like to know a little more about what goes into creating a truck with 2,700 hp. Dusty Price of Price Motorsports was kind enough to pull back the curtain and give us some details. - Describe what the truck is for those that might not know what a Pulling Truck is. A pulling truck is basically the Top Alcohol Funny Car class of pulling. The truck weighs a maximum of 6200 lbs with the driver and full of fuel. The truck is 15 feet from the center of the rear tire to the farthest point forward, and limited to a 575 ci engine with a 14-71 hi-helix supercharger. - Please tell us about how the idea for the truck started. What was the inspiration and the goals? This truck was started as an experimental piece. It has all of the latest and greatest engine, driveline, and chassis components. While we didn't believe this truck would be a winner all of the time, it has proved to be very successful right out of the box. It is owned by Jeremy & Misty Nelson and Terry Jostock. - Tell us what underpins the truck. What is the basis of it and how did you build it up? The chassis with what we call a wedge design frame. It is pressed metal in the shape of C-Channel but wider at the rear and more narrow at the front of the truck. There are also tube designs out there but this Jostock built frame has proved to be a success. The driveline starts with a 3-4 disk Crower clutch inside a Probell bell housing, after that there is an SCS Gearbox reverser and 3 speed transmission. The driveshaft then travels to the rearend into an SQHD center section (the side of a semi truck center section) and out to the SCS Gearbox planetaries that power the 18.4x16.1 tires. - Give some understanding of its specs and what it is capable of. How did you measure the specs (hp, torque etc) The engine being upwards of 2700 hp and 2000 ft/lb of torque is pretty cool. These trucks are known for their wild wheelstands down the track. Plus fans like to root for their favorite brand of truck. It generates some friendly rivalry for them, which makes it fun for us. - Has it won any awards? This truck has won several pulls already this season, and won several fan votes. So the guys are pleased. - If you could go back to the very beginning and do one thing differently, what would that be? I believe if we were to start over, we would probably put more money into the engine. While we also push our equipment to the max, the supercharger is a vital piece to success. A blower can make or break your program. - Share your time investment with us (man-hours, years of work, however you like) and only if you want to, what dollar value you would estimate the truck to have. The truck was built in just over 3 months. The chassis was bought as a roller with the entire driveline from SCS Gearbox already assembled, the body was already made specifically for the truck from GTS Fiberglass, so it was easier to mount. And these hemi based engines are very easy to install, even with the entire clutch assembly and Probell bell housing bolted on. So overall it is an easy puzzle to piece together. The dollar value of this particular truck is in the $150,000 range. The engine alone is pushing around $90,000. Thanks very much Dusty. GM-trucks,com would like to thank Tim Esterdahl and Craig Daitch for bringing this story to our attention.

Hey, all. Definitely a newbie here. I am a long time truck owner, but have never been really savvy with upgrades and choosing the best options. I am close to making a deal on a 2016 Sierra 3500 HD SLT (pic below). It is being advertised as a special manufacturer offer, separate from the core dealer inventory. With all manufacturer deals and customer cash, price is $49,203 (MSRP ~$59k). I'm currently negotiating that being at most final / out the door with no added dealer fees. Wondering if this is the right price or do I need to keep pushing. Dealership seems really firm at that number. Also, the stock wheels are 18". I may upgrade to 20" but thinking I may get the look at feel that I want by just upgrading the tires, taller/wider. I at least plan to level the front as well. Any advice on the largest / best tire for this vehicle, especially if I stay with 18" wheels without damage or rubbing? What about best level kit option? Thanks!

Hey Guys, I ordered a 2016 Sierra Denali 1500 a few weeks ago and base MSRP was $53,865 for a Standard Bed 4WD configuration ($60,360 as ordered). I just visited the GMC website and MSRP is now listed as $54,340 (now $60,835 for my configuration). This reflects an increase of $475 in base price and they only started building them a month ago. Option prices appear to have remained the same. Mine is scheduled to be built next week. Has anyone heard of a price increase already? Thanks for anything you can tell me.

By Zane Merva Executive Editor, GM-Trucks.com 8/22/2014 Chevrolet will price the 2015 Corvette Z06 Coupe at $78,995 and the convertible at $83,995. Laying claim as the fastest and most powerful Corvette ever built, the Z06 has a supercharged 6.2L LT4 engine producing 650-horsepower. That's more horsepower than was spec'd for the sixth-generation ZR1, which only had 630. Considering the ZR1 cost north of $110k, a sub-$80,000 Z06 sounds like a bargain. I went to my local dealer in Washington and received the following pricing information for the 2015 Suburban (I took a photo, but they also let me have paper copies). It includes all 3 trims, (LS, LT, LTZ), 2WD and 4WD versions, and also fleet pricing. I was able to negotiate a final price and we are ready to order as soon as Chevrolet opens up their website for custom ordering. I hope to have a new Suburban sometime in the early spring. (Hopefully in time for some late ski season!). The price increases appear to match the latest pricing available from Autonews.com
