Rancho RS9000XL vs Bilstein 5100 I am at 72k and preparing/saving up for shock replacement on all four corners. I like the that the Rancho RS9000XL can be adjusted (claimed 400% difference between lowest and highest setting). I always hear good things about the Bilstein 5100s though. Any experience with the Rancho RS9000XL shocks? I have a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado with the RPO code ZX3. The code is for the suspension package which is ride-control/ride control manual selectable. I am on the verge of replacing the shocks, ball joints, steering linkage/tie rods/bushings. I am trying to find out what replacement parts would be correct to keep the electronic controlled shocks. I don't need to keep that option but if I am going to eliminate that then I would like to know what issues that creates. I would also like to know how to fix any codes that would come up by deleting that system. My ultimate goal is a level kit, 2 to 2.5 inch front lift with all necessary parts replaced in the front end and shocks all around. If you know what suspension package I have on the VMAX then you know each shock runs around $250 which means I would already be at $1,000 just to replace all four. They need to go and I am looking for best viable option that makes mechanical and ride sense. Thanks all for the help.

I have a 2014 silverado 1500 with a 2.5" rough country level and I'm tired of the terrible ride quality. Every bump is very rough and rattles the whole truck. Is there a best shock option I can buy to combine with this level and get better ride quality? I have looked at coil overs but I don't think I will be happy with amount of lift. Any advice or recommendations will be appreciated.

Selling my OEM Chevrolet Silverado 1500 struts / shocks that were removed from my 2WD truck at 6,000 miles to install Bilsteins. Will fit 2014, 2015, 2016 GM trucks. There is nothing wrong with them. I just wanted a different ride. Asking $75 + shipping CONUS OBO.

I am considering replacing my OEM shocks on my 2014 Silverado. My goal is not improved off road performance. I am purely looking for an improved ride quality over the rough standard stock suspension. I have considered Bilstein 5100 series. I have also looked at Belltech street performance. Right now the Belltech shocks are of the most interest to me because I can get a good price on them. Any opinions or insight on the Belltech street shocks on a stock height truck? Thanks for any input!
