  1. Anyone know what this noise is? It's very intermittent. Seems to do it most often between 40 and 50 MPH cruising with maybe a slight up hill. Never does it on coast or heavy acceleration. Very hard to tell where it's coming from. 20190521_191545_001.mp4 2014 Sierra Denali 1500 Crewcab, 5'8" bed 6.2 Litter 3.42 axle ratio about 118,000 miles
  2. Let’s make a photo page for 4wd raised, 2wd lowered, and stock short bed reg cab pickups, These are becoming by far the most hard to find and arguably desirable models, 2016 Chevrolet Silverado Blackout edition 2wd
  3. Title asks it all. I’m looking at taking my NEW truck to Victorville and reclaiming my tonneau cover, whether I buy it from the junk yard or not.
  4. GMT-K2XX - 2014+ Short bed 68" bed only. Color is black. I never used it since it is the wrong size, and it was new from the original owner who had it for a couple months. Colorado sales preferred, I do make trips up north of Colorado to ID, MT, ND, SD areas. 450.00. PM me for details.
  5. Evening gents, I recently started work on a regular silverado. I'm looking to install a new cam, but having trouble finding a kit that agrees with the car. Any suggestions?
  6. Ok. So I have been battling myself on what I want to do for exhaust. I had just recently rebuilt the engine as well as boring it thirty thousandths over and threw some shorty headers on it. I took a gander underneath my truck and it looks like it would be easy to turn into a dual exhaust. What it is it comes down from the header and its dual all the way until the muffler in the back. Goes into Muffler dual inlet then single outlet. I thought just cutting the muffler off and putting two glass packs underneath. Considering it's winter where I am I was going to wait and buy a bent exhaust that arches over the driver side and make it connect to the glass pack on the driver side. Then reuse or even buy a new exhaust pipe that goes over the passenger side and connect it to the exhaust that is on the passenger side. I guess what I am trying to ask is how do you guys think I should go about this. I want pretty cheap but also not cheap to where it will only last me one or two years. I would also like feedback on what you guys think of my idea and if you did the same thing how it sounds. Also throw other suggestions out there if there is a better way to do it. Thank you. Edit: It is a 1997 k1500 extended cab and short bed. 5.7l (Tech. 5.8l now bored over.) with shorty headers on.
  7. I have owned this truck for about 15 years. It started out as a daily driver, then work changed to a travel position and it went to the airport once a month. About 5 years ago I bought another truck so this one doesn't get driven much anymore. It is very dependable, just look at the list of what has been done to it while I owned it. I used to make my living as an ASE certified Master Automotive Technician, and then I went on to do development work for GM at the Desert Proving Ground. I have all the receipts for the work that has been done. I can help with shipping if you live in a different part of the country. This is a solid RUST FREE truck. 350 engine out of a 1994 K1500 with about 140K miles on it. The transmission was already rebuilt when I bought the truck. Rebuilt transfer case Rebuilt rear end - new gears, new bearings, new limited slip diff, new axels, new brakes, new drums and hardware - all that was kept was the housing and brake backing plates Tires were put on last year, Firestone Destination A/T with only about 1000 miles on them New spare tire and custom bed mount All the computer sensors on the engine have been replaced New alternator, not rebuilt New Starter, not rebuilt New water pump, not rebuilt All the engine rotating items have been replaced except the power steering pump Right side wheel bearing and ball joints New Optima red top battery Custom made front bumper with a receiver hitch and .120" wall DOM tubing The down side...the paint is the typical peeling paint for that year. Sand it off an put on a new coat, the body is nice and straight. Only things that don't work are the AC and cruise control. $3800.00
  8. Z71, Reg. Cab, short bed Chevy.
