So in my eternal wisdom, I messed up a rear rotor change by leaving the parking brake on. im assuming the 25lb hammer to the back caused my parking brake shoe retaining clip to fail. Anyway, I fixed that and am running new calipers, rotors, pads, and hydraulic lines via the power stop z36 tow package. I bled the breaks using the soda bottle and fuel line method. I noticed if the soda bottle is below the bleed valve that method just continously dumps out brake fluid but if its above it appears to bleed appropriately. Brakes are now kind of squishy so im taking it to a pro to have it bled the right way. Anyway, novice tip to others is dont jack with the rear rotor when parking brake is engaged. Novice question is, is my brake issue likely all about having air in the lines? Brakees were fine stopping wise before...maybe a tad softer them Id prefer. Calipers were about toast with rust. 02' 1500 ext cab 4x4 3.73 5.3v8
