  1. John Goreham Contributing Writer, GM-Trucks.com 10-19-2018 Tuffy Security Products has just launched a new rear under seat lockbox designed to fit 2019 GMC Sierra and Chevy Silverado Crew Cab and Double Cab pickup trucks. With Tuffy's form-fitting design, the lockbox is concealed from view when the Trucks' 60/40 split bench seats are down. The Model 352 is built from rugged 16 gauge powder coated welded steel. The box includes Tuffy's patented Pry-Guard locking system with 1/8-inch welded steel components with chamfered edges. Tuffy's Pry-Guard technology has a 10 tumbler double-bitted security lock complete with weather seals to keep the contents of your box secure. The 352's weather-resistant lid has an exclusive hinge system with a built-in lid stop that holds up lid when open. There is no drilling required to install the Tuffy Model 352 and all the hardware you need is included. The innovative mounting system allows for quick removal when the lockbox is open. "At Tuffy, we are committed to bringing our customers high-quality security products. The Model 352 is an excellent addition to the Tuffy Product line because it is completely concealed from view, has two separate access points and is designed to protect whatever gear is stored inside," said Chip Olson, Tuffy Security's marketing director. The new 352 for the 2019 Sierra and Silverado joins the Model 343 for the new Colorado and Canyon trucks and the Model 340, which is for the 2007-2018 Silverado and Sierra. Tuffy now has boxes built specifically for the majority of GM's trucks. GM-Trucks.com hopes to test out the new 352 in our long-term 2019 Silverado tester. Watch for a full review in the coming months.
  2. John Goreham Contributing Writer, GM-Trucks.com 9-4-2018 A few months ago we brought news that Tuffy has a new Lockbox for under the rear seat in the Silverado and Sierra. Now, Tuffy Security Products has added its Model 343 Under Rear Seat Lockbox for current generation Chevy Colorado/ GMC Canyon Crew Cab pickup trucks. The box is a full-width formfitting lockbox designed to mount under the rear seats of the pickup. Built from powder coated 16 gauge steel, the security lockbox features more than 2,100 cubic inches of storage space. The lock is Tuffy's patented Pry-Guard locking system with a 10 tumbler double bitted security lock. Tuffy Security also incorporates an exclusive Pin-Lock hinging system with built-in weather seals to further protect the contents of the box. Concealed under the rear seats, the lockbox is accessed by flipping either or both the rear seats up and opening one or both lids. The lid under the single seat has a center lock while the lid under the double seat has two locks. The Model 343 mounts into the vehicle by fastening to the original OEM hardware and does not require any drilling. Basic hand tools are all you need to secure the lockbox into the pickup. "Tuffy Security Products offers innovative and secure storage solutions to our customers in order to best protect whatever our customers store inside their vehicles, whether it be hunting gear, important documents, laptops or anything else of value or importance," said Tuffy Security's marketing director, Chip Olson. "The Model 343 is an excellent addition to the Tuffy line and can be used in both recreational and fleet pickups."
  3. John Goreham Contributing Writer, GM-Trucks.com 5-4-2018 2007 to 2018 Chevy Silverado Crew Cab and GMC Sierra Crew Cab owners, heads up; This may be a product you’ll be interested in. Tuffy Security Products has a new high-security lockbox specially designed to fit under the rear bench seat of your pickup. The Model 340 fits under the driver's side and middle rear seats of the pickup, which still leaves some space available under the rear passenger side seat. The box offers 2,100 cubic inches of storage and Items 35 inches and shorter fit inside. The 340 lockbox is built from powder-coated 16-gauge welded steel and features chamfered corners to allow easy access and better concealment. Tuffy adds their Pry-Guard locking system with a 10-tumbler double-bitted lock which can be opened from either side of the vehicle. Tuffy says that installation is simple and there is no drilling. The lockbox fastens to the OEM seat bolts using the included mounting system comprised of two 16-gauge steel brackets which affix to the back of the box and extend to the rear of the vehicle under the seat. Removal is also easy. Simply unlock and open the box and undo the wing knob nuts from the inside. For more details and pricing, check out www.tuffyproducts.com or visit Tuffy on Facebook.
