  1. I know this is going to look suspicious being only my third post but I wasn't sure what forum to join at first. I have noticed a shake or vibration in my new 4x4 crew 5.5 box 5.3 truck it seems to come and go and has been a pain to pin point what makes it happen. I can feel it in the steering wheel, seat and sometimes the gas petal but mostly in the steering wheel. It seems to be most noticeable going up or down hill with very light acceleration but can do it on level ground at cruise speed too. And the fun part is it doesn't always do it to make it more of a challenge to diagnose it. Brought it to the dealer last week and I thought the mechanic was going to think I was crazy but he did feel it too which was a relief also the service writer test drove it after they balanced and rotated the tires and he said its slight, but he felt it too. We scheduled it to come in tomorrow and are opening a warranty claim. I have very little faith that its going to get fixed because of the nature of the vibration and it being so new that there probably isn't any info out there on what it could be. I really don't know what they can do tomorrow other then make phone calls. If I had to venture a guess I'm going to say its in the transmission or possibly the engine. We also have a 2012 equinox and on the same roads there's no vibration at all. Also I have the z71 and man does that thing ride STIFF! Every repair strip in the tar is felt hard! Anyone know if it just takes some miles to get the shocks broke in (2600 on it now)? My 04 was a z71 too and rode much, much softer then this. I would really like to get this figured out because it, along with a few other smaller things is preventing me from loving this truck.
  2. I have a 2015 Chevy Silverardo 2500HD that is about a year old with 14k miles. Since it was a couple of months old it developed a drivetrain vibration, between 30 and 50 MPH. Between these speeds everything is fine until you apply a slight acceleration to the gas, usually when going up a slight grade, the vehicle has a significant vibration in the drivetrain. If you let off the gas, it stops. If you increase the gas until it downshifts, it stops. No vibrations of any kind at faster or slower speeds outside this range. I have had it to the dealer several times over the past 6 months. Each time they have acknowledged the problem. First they thought it was a tire out of balance- Did not fix the problem Then they put it on a lift and took the driveshaft off and claimed the vibration stopped so they rotated the driveshaft 180 degrees and re-installed- Did not fix the problem Then they claimed the drive shaft was defective and ordered a new one- Did not fix the problem. Today they had thier "transmission guy" test drive it and he determined that it is a know issue GM has with the Fuel Management System and the Cylinder Deactivation System. GM knows about the problem, but to date does not have a fix, and there is nothing they can do to help me. I questioned the Service Manager that I didn't think the 6.0L even had cylinder deactivation (thats a 1500 feature) and he asurred me it did and there is a reading next to the odometer that tells me how many cylinders the engine in running on. When I asked him to show me the indicator he jumped in the truck and said "huh it should be right there", then said "well thats what the mechanic told me". Anybody had or heard of this issue? Anybody know if a 2015 6.0L has cylinder deactivation? Any suggestions are appreciated...
  3. This is my first post here so cut me some slack if it's in the wrong place.. Anyway, I recently bought myself a 2013 Silverado 2500, gas 6.0, 4x4 & on the drive home taking the highway I noticed there is little shake/vibration when on the gas when going 40+. Nothing bad at all, just seems to run less then smooth while on the accelerator going 40 & over. It completely stops when I let off the gas & just coast. It feels like its coming from the engine but if not then idk where it could be coming from.. Up till this point I've read it could be the driveshaft or U-joints, which are not looking to healthy, very rusty. Anything else it could most likely be? Odometer currently reads 50,500. Thanks in advance!
  4. I am a proud owner of a GMC Yukon 2016 Denali. Since these cars are not officially available in Europe, I imported a Yukon. Basically, I am very satisfied with the vehicle. But unfortunately, I have a problem with the vehicle, and nobody could help me so far: The car vibrates quite heavily and uncomfortably. The vibrations started when I stopped at the side of the road to let my wife get out. The engine lamp flashed, and the vehicle had hardly any power left. I drove about 1/4 mile, stopped again, and switched off the car. Afterward, I waited for over one minute and then restarted the car. The engine light stayed off, and so I was able to drive on. Also, the power was as usual again. But from there on I had vibrations which I didn't have before. So I went to a service station to read out any errors and get some help. But there were no errors detected. Since the vibrations did not disappear on the next miles, I went to the dealer again. They reprogrammed the ECU unit with the latest software and balanced the tires. Nothing has changed. So I went to another dealer, hoping that it could help me in a better way. They told me that my tires were worn out and that they could cause the vibrations. We changed all four tires. The handling was a bit better afterward, but the vibrations remained. Because in my country there are just about 10 GMC Yukon and a few Escalades driving around, no dealer has a clue and can solve my problem. Therefore I did a lot of research on the internet and on the paid platform of GM (ACDelco TDS) - unfortunately without success so far. I am also familiar with the service bulletins for the 8-speed automatic transmission. But I can exclude these vibrations so far. I have some of these vibrations in my car. However, I have now imported the right oil from Texas by ship, and I will do the oil change within the next days. But the other vibrations are noticeable at any speed, even at only 1 or 2 mph or over 100 mph. Especially when I ride uphill or downhill, it vibrates a lot. As if I had no suspension in the back and the vehicle would bounce around. The vibrations are mainly felt in the seat. Very slightly also in the steering wheel. From the beginning, my car tends to steer slightly to the left. But I never paid much attention to this, because measuring the track showed that everything is ok. I am aware that a remote diagnosis is challenging. But perhaps you have any ideas where I should proceed with my further diagnosis? Is the suspension the right start, the drive shaft, or the wheel mounting? Or could it be the engine mounting? Or something completely different? What is the best way to proceed?
  5. Anyone know what this noise is? It's very intermittent. Seems to do it most often between 40 and 50 MPH cruising with maybe a slight up hill. Never does it on coast or heavy acceleration. Very hard to tell where it's coming from. 20190521_191545_001.mp4 2014 Sierra Denali 1500 Crewcab, 5'8" bed 6.2 Litter 3.42 axle ratio about 118,000 miles
  6. Hey guys, I posted in the giant thread about my fix but I'm sure it's already gotten lost. I think this is important to at least have floating somewhere for someone to search. Symptoms: At 60-70mph I was experiencing a severe shake/vibration. I could usually push out of it at 70+ but it was still noticeable. It was like clock work as soon as I hit up around 60mph. Solution: I got my truck fully inspected before purchase and they noted the vibration. Mechanic showed me a dent in the drive shaft and general wear on the shaft. His recommendation was to replace it. I ordered the part online. The new shaft came fully assembled with new Ujoints and the yoke to slide in. Installation was very easy. I have driven 100 miles since installation and I have ZERO vibration. I hit 60mph and it is very smooth. So the culprit could be the shaft the ujoint or the yoke. Once again this fix worked for me and it may not be the same issue on your truck but I had pretty bad vibrations and they are GONE. Good luck!! *NOTE* I have no warranty so that is why I attempted a fix on my own. I'm sure this problem will still crop up as peoples warranty starts to expire.
  7. I just purchased a new 2015 (8 miles) Silverado LT (4x4, 4.3L v6). During the test drive all seemed great with the truck so I purchased it. Driving it for the past 2 weeks has been great, love it! That was until 800miles or so I started to notice a slight vibration through the steering wheel and cabin. The issue is not consistent as it comes and goes so I started to do a little research and see this is a problem with past models. I noticed in other threads that people believe the issue to be a drive shaft, ball joints or out of balance parts. Dealers have replaced multiple parts but it seems to be ongoing issues for others. Clearly GM has not resolved this issue but here is the troubleshooting I did. I noticed my tire pressure was low 35psi. I kept changing the pressure to see what would happen with the vibration. Below are my results. To keep the vibration to a minimum, I increased the pressure on all wheels to 45-46 PSI and have found that it vibrates the least at this pressure. It's NOT completely gone but it's a start I guess. I will be contact the dealer tomorrow but wanted to know if anyone else has noticed the vibration with tire pressure changes. I assume tires are the problem. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. 17inch wheels, Bridgestone Duler A/T P265/70R17 113S M+S Driver side front 35 Driver side rear 36 Passenger side front 37 Passenger side rear 37 Vibration between 58-63 Driver side front 41 Driver side rear 41 Passenger side front 41 Passenger side rear 41 Vibration between 63-68 Driver side front 45 Driver side rear 46 Passenger side front 45 Passenger side rear 45 Vibration (a lot less) 63-65 Driver side front 42 Driver side rear 46 Passenger side front 44 Passenger side rear 45 Vibration 65-70 Driver side front 44 Driver side rear 41 Passenger side front 44 Passenger side read 41 Vibration 63-68 Driver side front 43 Driver side rear 43 Passenger side front 43 Passenger side read 43 Vibration 64-66 Driver side front 43 Driver side rear 43 Passenger side front 43 Passenger side read 43 Vibration 64-66 - with out tonneau cover Driver side front 39 Driver side rear 39 Passenger side front 45 Passenger side read 45 Vibration 66-69 Driver side front 46 Driver side rear 45 Passenger side front 45 Passenger side read 45 Vibration (a lot less) 63-65
  8. New vibrations after clutch job . Any suggestions?
  9. I own a 2014 Chevy Silverado Double Cab 4x4 Z71 and wanted to share my experience as I approach 30K. When I first bought this truck it was great. I like the features, the ride, very smooth driving characteristics and overall design. Then the recalls started and so far I have had four performed that I know of. I also started noticing some issues that made me feel as if the 10K off MSRP I received was not enough of a discount. Below is recap and assessment of some issues I have seen in the last year and a half of ownership. 1. Paint- too thin and the appearance is blotchy, I am currently having some issues with adhesion as I watch the paint peel off the lower driver and passenger door, this will be covered under the warranty according to the body shop. 2. Recalls- mostly minor but I am sure as time goes on these recalls will increase in severity and inconvenience. GM should extend the bumper to bumper warranty, by a certain amount of time/milage, per recall. 3. Vibrations- there are several issues in this area. Tires are number one in my experience, then the v4 AFM mode and lastly the drivetrain are all sources for these vibrations. But if you look at the numbers on this site and do the math this seems to be an issue that only effects .5%-1% of trucks out there. Even with these statistics in some cases the vibrations have been eleminated. 4. Interior- nice to look at and touch but quality is a C+. Constant snap, crackle, pop, sounds heard mostly caused by thermo expansion and contraction. Then there are the rattles that are caused from cheap clips and loose components. One solution is to take everything apart and use dampening materials (carpet padding/expanding foam/electrical tape) to fill in void spaces and eleminate rattles. 5. Electrical- there are inconsistencies in the way the electronics perform. The radio sometimes emits a static/buzz sound through the speakers when I open the driver door. The bluetooth is temperamental, and the security locking feature sometimes has a delay. 6. Powertrain- GM has some work to do here. From the slip yolk clunk to the G80 rearend backlash knock, this area of the truck needs to be refined and shored up. There was also a leafspring knock that I had to deal with for awhile that I resolved by properly torquing the u-bolts. Even with all this I give this truck a "B-" grade. The 5.3 ecotec MGP along with HP/Torque numbers, the 100k powertrain warranty/36k three year bumper to bumper, and overall performance including towing/hauling make up for some of these issues. I would recommend this vehicle to others but if you are looking take your time and test drive this for a weekend and look for these issues. There are some that are better than others and this is the number one thing when looking at MSRP/resale value.
  10. I have a 2020 HD Silverado Diesel. I noticed after several hundred mile a weried sensation coming from the steering column. When I’m driving down the highway for example and driving straight , when I turn the steering wheel slightly to the left of right I feel a slight vibration and is if there is play in the steering column. Like a disconnect feeling. There’s almost a slight grinding feel like it might be coming from the steering box. When I’m turning on a long turn left or right I can really feel it, negative feedback reverberating through the steering column. Dealership has replaced the steering ad steering box, put on new front tires and torque all suspension parts up front. After all these repairs I still get this vibrations, shimming feeling in and through the steering column. Also when the truck is idling with foot on brake and I turn the steering wheel slight to the left or right I get a slight vibration in steering snd I can feel it in the brake pedal. I’m very frustrated because I got a call today from dealership and there basically are now saying it’s within the factory spec of vibration. I dislike this feeling the steering column has this bad feedback I can feel in the steering column. I’ve let three people drive the truck and they all are feeling what I’m feeling. Any help or advice would be welcome... Thank you
  11. Long history but short of it is long standing vibration seems to be related to tire temperature. 2015 GMC Yukon. New Tires (Bridgestone Dueler HL) 1/31/2020 w/Alignment. They noticed front right strut was leaking and replaced. Vehicle seemed to drive without issue for at least 2-3 months. COVID-19 hit and I hardly drove anywhere for a few months. There was a month span where my truck left the garage only a handful of times. Tires have 3k miles on them despite being 9 months old now. Around July I started driving a bit more and I noticed a pretty bad road vibration and started looking at remaining shocks. Replaced 2 years and it seemed to help as they were leaking and then remaining front strut as it was leaking hoping this would resolve my issue. Took it to the dealer and they road force balanced and rotated, not finding any suspension or tire issues. When I drove away, there was a hard pull to the left. Took it to local shop as I figured it was an alignment but alignment was dead on. They road force balanced and rotated and pull went away. I later found out one of the tires had conicity and was replaced and pull went away. This week in Houston we had a bit of a cold front and I noticed it was driving back to normal, like earlier in the year. Yesterday I was driving around and noticed as soon as the tires started to heat up to 38psi (Cold tire pressure is 35psi), the vibration started to get worse so I pulled over and deflated 2 psi. Next tire got up to 38 and vibration started and I did the same thing and it went away for 10 minutes but came back as the tires seemed to warm up and inflate more due to that. Today I drove trying to reproduce and it seemed to drive better than yesterday and took about 40 mins to get some vibrations that were not even as bad as they have been before. Am I working out some flat spotting? Or is it possible that some tires that have issues that show when they warmed up? Or is it possible I have a suspension issue that slightly under-inflated tires are masking? I plan on going back to the dealer and have them run a picoscope to confirm the source of the vibration and look again. Questions I should be asking them, things I should verify they're checking, etc? This issue has been driving me crazy for months and seems to be going away on its own due to cold temp (55-60F in the mornings, high of 85F) versus the triple digits we were getting in the summer. Looking back at the Jan-March timeframe it would have been around the same temp here so I'm wondering if I'm exposing a temperature related issue with the tires that shows up when the ambient temp is much warmer or the tires have a chance to get hotter. I have the full story documented here before I even thought it might be tire related
  12. I Purchased my 2015 silverado z71 crew cab a couple months ago, so far i love the truck accept for one issue that shows itself every once in a while. USUALLY while turning and acceleration lightly at the same time ( lugging the motor pretty much) ill get a very noticable shudder right before the truck FINALLY decides to downshift. Has anyone had a similar issue. Im going to drives my buddies sierra tomorrow and see if i get the same shudder. I have 3600 miles on this truck so i dont think its anything to do with the "adaptive" transmission learning cycle. Ive heard a custom tune can resolve issues but i really hate to do that on this new of a truck, nor do i have anywhere within 400 miles to get it done. New to the forum guys, hope to get some responses, this is my first GM product. Switched from a 2008 tundra with 245000 trouble free miles. Hope i dont regret this purchase
  13. Hi everyone, new to the forum but I’m at the end of my ropes here this is my Hail Mary. So I have a 2016 Silverado crew cab 6.5’ bed 5.3l 4WD 6 speed automatic transmission. The transmission was fully rebuilt at 75,000 The truck has 89,000 miles on it. I am complaining about a shake/vibration of course but I don’t feel as if mine is like most. Mine doesn’t seem as violent as others describe. I’m experiencing a vibration and a noise almost like driving over rumble strip in the road. This problem comes about when you are gentle on the throttle and at a lower rpm around 1200-1500. If you feather the throttle at 55 MPH you can easily replicate the issue. Next is issue number 2 I’m not sure if they are related but my gut is telling me they are, I recently noticed when stopped then slowly take off as in just letting the truck roll at idle of the line I feel like a small wobble/bounce as it kind of rocks you back and forth in your seat. Both issues go away once you give it more throttle. I’ve had the torque converter replaced first once the issue came back I then I’ve changed the transmission fluid to the updated fluid, rotated the driveshaft 180 degrees and that has been the longest fix for 3 weeks. Any suggestions are helpful and appreciated and thanks in advance
  14. Mysterious, Unfixable ‘Chevy Shake’ Affecting Pickup Trucks Too is the title of an email from AutoGuide .com I received today. http://www.autoguide.com/auto-news/2016/03/the-mysterious-chevy-shake-is-affecting-pickup-trucks-now-too.html?utm_content=title8&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=autoguide_now_may15&utm_source=newag20160331&utm_term=AutoGuide%20Now%20Subscribers
  15. I recently bought a new truck in Feburary. It was year old that was offered to me with such good rebates I bought it. Was a dealer trade and it has 124 miles on the truck. I never drove it over 75 when I tested it. 1600 miles on the truck I took it on a road trip and felt a crazy vibration in seat and center console when I would hit 78mph to 80mph. I took it to the shop they did a road force balancing and said the tires were off some and also did peco on it. Said it was good to go. I pick it up drove it 15miles like they said to do to warm the tires up. Vibration felt worst. I took it back they gave me a loaner. I got a call saying either its bad tires or a drivetrain component. When does the Lemon Law come into this?. I bought a new truck and it might have to have new drive train components. Fustrating to say the least. I want them to make it right and get me a truck replacment or Im getting a lawyer. Hard earned money shouldnt be tossed away on somthing your not happy with because of a unknow defect. Anyone else gone this far as in getting a lawyer. I've documented each day i called, who I talked to, what they did, etc.
  16. Good morning, So I'm finally going to reach out to my fellow Silverado and Sierra owners. I have been dealing with a harmonic vibration issue with my 2014 Silverado crew cab 5.3 2WD for around 5 months. I have taken my truck into 3 different dealers to only have the driveshaft replaced under the powertrain warranty and it fixed about 40% of my vibration issue. The vibration can be felt in the gas pedal, steering wheel, seat, and it can be heard. It sounds a lot like a phasing boom. The dealer that replaced the driveshaft has said they now believe its my "CHEAP hancook tires" but I can duplicate the vibration with the truck supported on jack stands under the axle housing (not changing the pinion angle) with the wheels removed. Now with the wheels removed the vibration is not as bad but its still the same vibration I'm experiencing. One dealer told me I have a bent axle but I don't have any wobble side to side with the wheel on. the driver side wheel does look like it has a highspot with the wheel installed (you can swap wheels with the same results). the tech that replaced the driveshaft said he checked the axles and the checked out okay... Now I have yet to get a good dry warm day to throw a dial indicator on it myself to check but I wanted to check with yall and see what you think. the next nice day I get I plan on pulling the diff cover and taking a look inside. but any help would be much appreciated. I took it in to see about trading back into a Toyota and they didn't want to give me hardly anything for it and the new TRD Tacoma I drove just seemed so cheap for the $36,xxx they wanted for it. My Silverado has a lot more features plus im a fan of the LS engines so I plan on trying to resolve this issue before I try to trade it again. vibration is felt from 20-70+mph the worst is 55-65mph. running boards have been removed, new trans mount, new complete driveshaft. tires have been rotated and the vibration is still coming from the rear center of the truck. Vibrates in V4 & V8, and in neutral. I also have a case opened with GM on this issue since October 2018 so it's well documented. 2014 Silverado LT 5.3L 6l80e 2WD crew cab. (built in the mexico plant) 87,XXX MILES. Please keep the stupid comments to yourself. I just want to get this issue resolved so I can enjoy this truck.
  17. First off, I did a search and the only thread that appeared was the 41 page "Shake or Vibration" thread. But after looking through about half of it, nobody appeared to have a problem similar to what I'm observing. Since I've taken delivery of my Denali in December, I've been noticing a slight vibration in the floorboard when accelerating, and then at certain RPMs. I've had tire and balancing issues before on other vehicles, and this is definitely not related to the tires or even speed - my truck rides smooth as glass. My problem is related to engine RPMs and slight vibrations and is only noticed at my floorboard. The vibrations aren't too bad, but the issue is that my feet (mostly left and right heel) start going numb on moderate to long length drives. When I was younger I had a job as a bike assembler using power tools all day and I would experience the same numbness/tingling in my hands after a long day of building bikes. When the vibration occurs, I can generally let off the gas a little and it'll go away. But it's present much of the time. It's so slight that I didn't really care, but now that it's causing my feet to go numb, I can't ignore it. Has anybody else noticed something similar? It feels like maybe a motor/transmission or body mount is bad. I'm going to mention it the next time I'm in for service, but wanted to see if anybody else was experiencing something similar. Thanks.
  18. This truck is my first 4WD/4x4. So a few weeks ago, I put my truck in 4HI, to drive in the snow, no issues. Put it back into 2WD, when I got home, and haven't needed it since, until this afternoon. When I put it in 4HI, it was grind/vibration central, but when I put it back in 4AUTO or 2WD, there is no issues.
  19. Hi All, Realize there are a lot of threads on this but nothing recent that I can find and nothing on a 2019 model. I have a 2019 Tahoe LT, purchased 08/18, that was a great truck until now. I took it to dealer in 09/19 for oil change/tire rotation at 6,200 miles and felt a vibration upon leaving. I was surprised they could change oil, rotate and balance 4 tires and do a multipoint inspection in 45 min. I thought ok, their balance machine is not right. Vibration turned violent within ~500 miles so I took it to a Firestone tire shop. 2 of the 4 were way out of balance and 2 others were out of balance but to a lesser extent. Did NOT solve shake. Took back to dealer 10/19 at 7,500 miles and complained of shake. They did road force balance and replaced 2 tires. Ran okay for ~700 miles then was back with a vengeance. Returned to dealer 11/19 8,500 miles with same complaint. Ended up doing road force balance again and 2 more new tires. Thing shook as a drove away. Truck is at the dealer now and I'm dealing with service director who claims per the picoscopre, everything is fine and within spec. Running fine. I'm going for a test drive with him tomorrow morning. Has anyone had this issue on a '19? Has anyone had any success getting this issue solved? I don't think I could even trade this thing in the way it shakes right now nor do I want to take a bath on it financially. Has anyone gotten an aftermarket driveshaft? That seems to be a possible culprit although my dealer says mine is fine. New shocks? I'm at a total loss...
  20. Hello, I was thinking of purchasing a 2016 Yukon Denali, but after reading a few forums on here it seems like there have been a few issues with the 2015 model ( buffering noise and vibration). Have these problems been sorted out by GM in the 2016 model? If not is the problem big enough to avoid purchasing a Yukon Denali? Thanks
  21. Just the other day I started to notice a vibration/rattle noise coming from the front passenger side around 70mph. It almost sounds like the windshield, or what you would expect something rattling against glass to sound like. I can’t pinpoint where it’s coming from, but’s somewhere within the vicinity of the passenger side dash/windshield/headliner area. Sounds more like it’s around the headliner area. It it mostly only seems to happen at higher speeds (70+mph) although today I did just today hear it at 60mph for the first time. My guess is maybe the the windshield is leaking some air since it happens at higher speeds??? Because going over bumps doesn’t seem to have any negative or positive impact on the noise. Anyone else have any issue like this, or any guess as to what it might be?
  22. I recently installed some aftermarket Tor mirrors on an 03 and the glass vibrates/shakes when driving on normal roads and on the highway. I was thinking about putting some left over Sound deadening on the back of the glass, as a way to mass load them to slow the shaking. I don't really mind the shaking too much but if I already have something that will help with it, it's worth a shot!? What are your thought about this?
  23. Well I ordered all the parts this morning to do the rear axle shafts and brake job. Truck has 81,XXX miles on it. Factory pads are about gone. The passenger side axle shaft seal is back to leaking pretty bad. It was R&R'd at 16k and has been sweating ever since and the dealer didn't want to hear it. 9 months later when I bought our new Enclave, I made sure I didn't step foot in that dealer. Anyway, I've also had the driveshaft balanced by a local shop which helped out quite a bit. All but one person who I've found did Yukon shafts said it fixed the vibration. So for $260, worth the old college try. Parts list en route are.... -Yukon Axle Shafts -ACDelco Wheel bearings (both sides) -ACDelco axle shaft seals (both sides) -GM Diff cover gasket (yes I know its reusable but I've already used it once with my PML Cover and put silicone on it. ) -Raybestos Police package rotors. I read that these are mill balanced to a pretty good spec. Tolerances in general are much tighter. -Raybestos hybrid ceramic truck pads While I have it apart I'm going to do a gear pattern check, R&P backlash check at multiple locations around the ring AND check the pinion pre-load measurement. I read that one of these lemon buy back vibrators was donated to a tech school and upon disassembly the pinion pre-load was zero. Yes, zero. So i'm going through the axle my way.
  24. 2015 GMC Yukon Denali - 32k miles (6.2L + 8spd). I don't normally do highway speed but noticed yesterday that I had a slight pedal vibration when doing so and it only seems to happen at 60+ mph. My daily drive is under 40mph and no vibrations there. I'm assuming its likely a rear rotor since I don't feel it in the steering wheel. I looked back on my records and it appears front brakes were at 7mm a year ago and rear at 4mm. Both in the "green" according to dealer. I'm not sure if its an eyeball check and they just mark good or if they actually measure but it was 10k miles ago and a year so I likely need new pads. All this to say, with this life and mileage is anyone seeing pad life and possibly rotor life exhausted so quickly? This is a heavy vehicle and the 6.2L gets it up to speed quickly and it does seem to take a lot more to stop it(always this way so I don't think its the vacuum recall). If anyone is getting a 4 wheel brake job at the dealer, what has it run you? Mine is running a special for $139 per axle for pads and $189 per axle for rotors but I'm hoping if it is a warped rotor I only need 1 pair. Also noticed this on the front passenger rotor. Is that defined of a groove normal? To the touch it doesn't feel grooved. Tire inflation is normal.
  25. I have a 2012 silverado 1500 crew cab and I am getting vibration when accelerating at highway speeds but it stops when I let off the gas. Any help would be great!
