How can I stop the truck from chiming upon start up? There are other articles about listening to the radio with the doors open, taking out the keys, attaching seatbelt overrides, but none of them address how to prevent the truck from chiming six times when starting it. Within the IntelliLink settings there is a way to lower the volume of the startup chime, but not completely stop it. Is this a hard wire override, software setting, OBD2 delete? Thank you.

V-6 2019 Silverado calls for 6qts of oil. During an oil change, I drained all the oil out and changed filter. Truck is sitting on level ground, and all oil was drained until the last drop came out. I pre-filled the new filter to the top with oil, which left me with 5 3/4 ish quarts of oil. I put the rest in the truck. I started my truck and let it run for a good five minutes or so. Shut it off, and let it sit for about an hour. I came back out and checked the dipstick my dipstick only shows half way. I even really stuck the dipstick down in the oil and “spun“ it a few times to make sure it picked up all over. Same thing. then I started thinking that Oil was not “sticking“ to parts of this dipstick. As you can see from the picture above; there’s oil on the very top of it, but nothing in the middle section. So I tested my theory and went and stuck the dipstick in an old bottle used oil. It stuck all over it with no problems. i’m guessing it would probably take another half a quart or so to at least to get it up to the full mark. What the hell is the deal ? when Chevrolet specifies 6 quarts of oil for this engine, they clearly state that this is “with filter“.

Hi All, I'm new here, so I apologize if this thread has been covered and thanks for having me. I installed an aftermarket stereo with a 500 watt amp, 12" sub, and door speakers on my 2014 Sierra 2500 HD WT. All items installed are Kenwood. I was looking to add a little depth to the bass notes and adding hands-free/Bluetooth upgrades from the base work truck RADIO. The volume at max level is sub par at best. Has anyone else dealt with this issue? I didn't change the highs up front. I'm wondering if that has something to do with the low volume? Maybe the tweeter is more restricted, IDK and definitely lost. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have an AT4 with the Bose sound system and there is no reason for me to ever go above 1/3 volume. Maybe I will go to half if I’m all by myself..... I thought it it had something to do with my phone being connected to Bluetooth but nope, switched to radio and same thing. Ive never turned it to full volume, worried the speakers might blow. anyone else notice this?

Hey guys! Wondering if you might be able to help me solve a problem here. I purchased my truck around a month ago. Got a good deal on it but there have been some cosmetic issues on the interior I've been dealing with slowly but surely. One of them is that my Menu button on my selector knob for the entertainment system is cracked. Other than the fact I'm super anal and this crack is all I can focus on, it also affects the functionality of the radio as the cracked edges stop the selector from spinning. I called my dealership and they said my only option was to replace the entire radio panel including HVAC controls and the screen. So, I'm turning to you guys. Is this in fact the case or am I able to replace the button alone. Here's a pic for reference of what I'm talking about. Thanks in advance. -Mag
