Hi: My windshield wipers are running slow and at the same (slow) speed on all settings. Is this a shot wiper motor? If so is it a diy replacement? Thanks in advance. 2014 GMC Sierra SLT

I bought a 1992 K1500 GMC Pickup a few months ago and it had an existing issue with the washer fluid pump in which the seller said it would not turn off, so they removed the fuse for that. But also the wipers only work on either high speed or with a manual push of the washer tab (so they don't work on intermittent or regular low speed). When turned off, they stop wherever they are and do not return to the down position. I have now been in enough highway rain that this situation is bugging me. Does this seem like a problem with just the switch in the arm, or is it likely all of the way back to where the harness for that plugs in under the dash or even farther? (A lot more labor to get the whole harness out.) Any idea how to test to determine where the problem is without removing lots of steering column and dash parts? Thanks, Woodman

2015 silverado . I got out this morning and my wipers wont work. I check fused under the hood and it's good aand there is power flowing through it (power probed it). The lever inside seems to work fine. It will spray fluid and the head lights turn on as usual when I turn on the wipers but the wipers will not work. Any simple fixes before I pull the motor out. Is there a relay somewhere for them?

Hey guys I'm having problem with my 1995 k1500. The radio/blower/windshield wipers/windows will not work at all....The hazard switch on my truck is broken off and missing....I was driving down the road and my hazards all of a sudden turned on and wouldn't shut off I tried pushing what was left of the button down to make them stop and nothing worked. once I got home I noticed my window would not roll up and my passenger wouldn't roll down. I had to disconnect the battery to get them to stop I ended up pulling the steering column apart and replaced the hazard button along with the turn signal switch. I plugged battery back in and still had no power to those items mentioned..hazards shut on and off though. I replaced my ignition switch and negative battery cable and still have no power to the mentioned items...any help would go a long way!!!

Hello! I have a 2013 GMC Sierra 1500 and recently took it into the shop as I was having windshield wiper issues and air vent issues for heat and A/C. Both of which are kind of a big deal especially being December and never knowing what the weather will be.The windshield wipers currently only work on the highest speed, sometimes they will stutter very slow on other speeds, but usually won't work at all on anything other than the highest speed. The shop I went to told me it was the wiper motor and it was weak. Then, I have also been having issues with the air vents not always working. I never know what I am going to get with this when I start the truck up. Sometimes I will start it and get absolutely nothing out of the vents on any speed I put the heat or A/C at. Sometimes they work as they should on any of the speeds I set it at. I've been on trips where I start the truck up and don't get anything.. then hours/miles later air starts blowing out of them on the speed setting they're on. Or trips where I don't get any air to blow out of them at all. I have tried reading as much as I can on this and have been told it could be the vents sticking and not opening up as they should. I was told by the shop that the blower motor is not working and there's bearing tension inside the motor that seizes up in colder temperatures. Well, this vent issue has happened to me in both the dead of summer and the coldest part of winter where it won't blow the heat or the A/C. So I am not completely convinced that it's the bearings getting cold and seizing up. Either way, I am stuck on both of these issues and have a hard time wrapping my head around it being both motors (wiper and blower vent) going out at similar times when the truck is only 5 years old. Just wanted to get some input on what others have experienced on either or both issues. Thanks!
