  1. Asking if anyone has experienced a problem with the windshield washer button on the turn signal lever of the 2020 Silverado. My truck is brand new and everything had been working fine. Went to use washer button which I’ve used before but this time didn’t work. No noise coming from pump. Fuse is fine. Asking if anyone knows cause or has experienced this before I have to go into the dealership.
  2. Hello, I have a 2008 GMC Sierra 1500 SLE Crew Cab 5.3L, no aftermarket parts or wiring in it, all stock. I had ice on my windshield this morning, not thinking i tried to use my wipers and washer fluid to defrost my windshield. The wipers did not move at all due to the ice, so i turned turned the wiper switch back to the off position. After chipping the ice away, the wipers started in the constant low speed setting and would not stop! Tried turning the truck off but they stayed on. I disconnected the battery and reconnected but the issue continued, so i pulled the fuse as a temporary fix. Does anyone know what this could be?? To my understanding it could be the wiper pulse board, fuse box, or the wiper switch arm. The turn signals and washer fluid still work fine so i don't believe it would be the wiper switch arm. I have checked online and it seems that others have had this issue but it happened randomly, so i'm hoping that since my problem seems to be directly from using the wipers when they were stuck, it may be an easy diagnosis. Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
  3. I have a 2014 Silverado 1500 LT2, I bought it a week ago (got a steal, $15,000 and it's a crew cab!) but one of the reasons I was able to negotiate such a good price was because the windshield wipers didn't work and it wasn't just the fuse so the dealer didn't want to try to figure out the issue. After little research I discovered that occasionally on some trucks the engine fuse box has a wiring problem so it needs to be replaced. Easy fix, right? I buy one on eBay for $50 and replace it last night, takes 3 minutes. Turn the key to ON and the wipers work. Great, all is well I thought... ...then half an hour later I go to my truck to drive to a friend's house and when I turn the key to START the truck doesn't respond at all. I'm assuming my transponder key was tied to the fuse box somehow. I swap the fuse boxes and it starts right up but again, I have no windshield wipers. One option I have is to tear into the fuse box and repair the broken wire for my wipers but I would literally have to drill it out of its casing so I'm not trying to get in that deep. I would rather program the key to the new fuse box. But here's the catch 22, you need one programmed key to work before you can program another spare key. If I swap the fuse box and my wipers work, my key won't work and I can't program it or another spare. Is there another way to program a key?
