I have a 2020 GMC Sierra 1500 with 3.0 diesel, Sometimes when I shut the truck off and then get back and start it up,, the radio says the satellite is lost, trying to reconnect, but it won't until I shut the motor off and get out of the truck or at least wait at least 2 minutes or more with the motor and radio off,, then restart and the radio works fine,, this only happens with xm,, fm and am work fine,, I have contacted my dealer and they say it must be xm,,, contacted xm,, they say it must them the radio, It doesn't do this all the time,, just once in a while,,, no matter how long I drive with it saying it is trying to reconnect, it never does,, wondering, Am I the only one having this problem? Not sure who to talk to next,,, any ideas? Thanks

Ok so I want to put a post together about the onstar, XM, sharkfin, and whatever else antenna we have on the K2xx platform. I know there have been water leaks plaguing all years from 14-18. All the posts here I have seen, don’t really have any info or “the dealer fixed it”. A lot of people have commented that there is a break in the seal in the rear of the antenna. Please understand that is not a water seal for water intrusion into the cabin. That is only a rubber trim from the plastics of the antenna to the metal roof skin. There is a foam seal that goes around the wires and the mount that does all of the sealing of the elements. When the foam seal deteriorates is when the water issues start. I will explain with pics a little further down in the post. So I have a 14 Denali, vehicle was Daily driven, until 2 months ago, has 90,xxx miles on it, sat out side during the day, and garage kept at night. I have never had any water issues from the antenna (or the 3rd brake light for that matter) Here you can see the square seal around the home in the roof was still sealing with no issues One of the reasons this post happened was because I found a color matched shark fin brand new for VERY cheap. And my Denali has the black plastic fin from the factory.

I'm new to the site, hopefully you guys can help me. I have a 2015 Silverado Crew Cab and I have been having trouble with my XM radio. About a month ago I started to have issues with my XM not working, it would say "XM loading", i could turn the truck off and back on, change channel, wouldn't matter. It would always start working after 5 to 10 minutes, this went on for a week maybe where occasionally it would do that. Then i was leaving work and my truck wouldn't start, battery was totally dead. So i got a jump start, XM was working and i went to the dealer and got the battery replaced. XM worked for a few days, maybe a week and then it started the occasional "XM loading" again. It got progressively worse to the point where it almost never worked over the next week or two. After researching the web i was pretty convinced i needed a new antenna, i had that done yesterday and that did not solve the problem. I also read online that you can reset the XM module by disconnecting the battery and touching the pos and neg leads together while disconnected from teh battery, that somehow this resets the module. I did this yesterday and it blew away my presets and time/date set on the radio but XM is still not working. I spoke with someone from XM and they are saying the module needs to be replaced. Has anyone seen this before? It seem there is a strong correlation on the internet between a dead battery and XM issues. Is there a different re-set on the XM module? Do i just pay the dealer and get it done? Other ideas????

I have the bose audio system in my 2018 All Terrain. I have the XM Radio trial and I have my subscription to Spotify. After about 2 month of ownership I've realized that the XM Radio has significant better quality in sound than using apps from my phone by bluetooth, or apple play. I have adjusted some settings within those apps to play the highest quality yet it doesn't translate as well as the XM Radio. Each time I switch between the two. I have to crank up the volume for spotify and crank it back down when on XM. Anyone else experience that? Any resolution?
