Couple Questions About My 06 2500hd Sierra

ok so im new here take it easy

 

I just got my truck and expected more out of the 6.0 i guess.. but from what ive heard there motors dont make much power til 4k RPMs

 

will a ECM tune void the warranty ?? i still have 100k 5 yr warranty and a 12k 12month the dealer gave me..

Also I want a remote start were these trucks offered factory with that or did it not start til 07/08 ?

I have a buddy who used to work at GM proving grounds in Milford and has told me the GM vehicals that were offered with Factory remote start have the programming built into the BCM wether they were optioned out with it or not.. you just gotta find a keyfob and turn the remote start on with a tech 2

Depends on why your taking it for warranty. If the tune possibly could have caused the need for warranty work, and if they can detect it, they will not fix the part. However, if say your instrument cluster stops working, its highly unlikely they wont fix it because of the tune. All dealers are different tho.
