Mounts, springs moving, vibration in the exhaust...possibilities are nearly endless
jro909 Posted January 26, 2010 Author Posted January 26, 2010 the thing is, the trucks tranny was removed from the truck and put back in for a new front pump seal, so i'm thinking maybe the exaust?

Or it could be something wrapped around your drive shaft...but that would make the noise happen all the time.
jro909 Posted January 27, 2010 Author Posted January 27, 2010 i hear the click when i apply the accelerater after being stopped, its just a quick click, nothing constant..although i do get clicking under load not loud but just enough to hear it...

Sounds mount related or something to do with the slip yoke.
jro909 Posted January 28, 2010 Author Posted January 28, 2010 i've never greased the yoke, is it a must? the noise dosen't bug me long as a i know what it is and that its harmless

jro909 Posted January 28, 2010 Author Posted January 28, 2010 they are the factory u joints still, the dealer may have hit it when they dropped the trans, i know i haven't greased it..my bounds of driveway mechanic end at topping off fluids and changing oil lol

jro909 Posted January 29, 2010 Author Posted January 29, 2010 yeah they took the trans straight out of the truck, for the front seal to be replaced...had the truck for 8 hours or so
