Compass/temp Onstar Mirror Install

Thanks guys, guess Ill add a seperate sensor, no biggy

on a side note I wired the 12V power for the mirror from the console in the roof instead of going through the firewall, I came off the orange wire in the connector above the reading lights.

easier than unhooking the fuse panel (in my opinion) the mirror stays on for about 5 minutes after the truck is shut off and locked but then shuts down.

i finally recieved the harness and sensor, mounted the sensor, ran the sensor wires through the firewall to the mirror. That all went well ..now the snag....I need a third pin for the power and am not having any luck finding one.I went to 2 scrapyards to buy the plug that goes into the mirror and neither yard has one..thought i'd just use the whole plug and splice the wires..next stop is a chevy dealer.

there are a zillion pins...even tried radio shack..sometimes the simplest jobs are the hardest....

I've been trying to find new pins for the mirror connector and I'm running in the same thing. Found one place to sell an entire harness kit at an outrageous cost, all I need to do is find four pins to plug into the existing connector so I can run power and such.

Can this be done on a 12 silveradoWT w/o the onstar mirror?I really want to get a temp sensor,I also have a DIC but no temp in there because of the trim level there are no sensors in the grill.

I've got a few leftover pins from BigBlue if anyone needs some. PM me if you do with a mailing address and they're yours.

what size wire is in the harness? I am doing this mod on the weekend and would like to get all the necessary wire before hand.
