Pop And Then Died

Wife was driving 95 Blazer with VORTEC 4.3. Truck was running fine, then she heard a pop and truck died. ENgine cranks but will not start. I did notice that the coil was sparking out the side and does not appear to be firing. Could the "pop" have been the coil going?

that would be my guess. pull it apart and see if there is broken plastic everywhere. had one do that to me in the past.

Cant see anything by looking at it. I do know that it is arcing out for some reason though.

time for a new coil and wires.

Put new coil on today and it fired right up.
