Door Panel And Dash Painting Gmt900

2008 GMC WT 2500HD. I am adding black leather and carpet to my truck and would like to paint my door skins and the top of my dash. The only pictures I have seen here are people who have sanded them smooth and painted them glossy. I really want them to look stock, just a different color. They are Lt Grey now and I would like to paint them Dark Grey, almost black. Has anyone done this and pictures would be greatly appreciated.
